Hope you like todays video another good game just couldn’t get over the line we go again keep the faith 💙-feel free to check the 2 walk the island videos on my channel & maybe see some of you there next year!
For first time questioning some bizarre decisions JM is making that is hurting the team...surely Moxon and Devlin iadded to the midfield with their energy and commitment, plus goalscoring ability would be a massive help. Some of the new.signinga worse than players we already had. No control, just whack it up to steikers and hope for best. Good job it was Oxford or Pompey would have been taken apart y'day.
Much better today. Gutted we didn’t take the 3 pts but glad we didn’t give 3 away!! Ok Nico is super cute, he sounded like a kid at Christmas bless him. See you soon mushes 💙
We were awful Wednesday and in many ways it was a freak scoreline. Today I thought we played well. Creating chances and but for some superb saves by their keeper and a couple of goal line clearances......we would have our first win. Keep playing like this and the win will come and we'll be okay. PUP!😊
First time in Pompey after travelling over from Ireland for work in Southampton. Pompey should have won, but defensively (especially centre halves) are poor
5 points from a possible 27 not really good enough and so I’m still saying we’re be relegated come end of season because it’s going to be a ketchup game and in this league it’s going to be tough
It's sad to say, but the squad just isn't good enough. I really feel for Mousinho. Instead of building on his amazing success of last season, he's been badly let down by the summer recruitment, which was awful. Barely any of our players would get in most Championship teams and, as good as Mousinho is, he can't work miracles. I just hope we are still in touch by January and the owners learn from their mistakes and give the manager the funds to sign his own players. We just look lightweight all over the pitch and the squad is simply not a championship squad. Not only could we be relegated, but the reputation and confidence of a very promising young manager could be ruined by the club's ridiculous recruitment set up and policy.
Agree about the squad quality. The concept behind the recruitment policy is good but has been poorly executed this season. Two additional points: 1. Any newly promoted team without parachute money can't attract proven Championship quality, so we need to go for players on the way up. As a big fish in the pond last season, it was easier to attract players. 2. Do Rich or Mous know what Championship quality looks like? Neither have real experience operating at that level. Let's hope they do and the players they've signed can adjust and improve quickly. Murphy has been decent, can the other new signings reach his level?
I know what your saying but cmon that’s “our” team we gotta get behind them ( fans have been brilliant last 2) Abu took time to get going last season we got a 2 week break now keep believing keep supporting we just need a little luck
@@Bean-js9bc Yeah, we are in a difficult position as a newly promoted club with limited funds, but they brought in 14 new players I think. That's a lot of signings and yet very few of them look up to the job and Matt Ritchie has barely featured. Mousinho clearly doesn't know what his best side is yet either. He's chopping and changing constantly trying to get something going and it just isn't happening. Everything just seems a little desperate and disorganised. I rate Mousinho. He was brave enough to make significant changes after the Stoke game and he managed to lift the players and get a much better performance out of them today. That is fantastic, but we've still got the same problems we've had all season. The fact is we need to be beating teams like Oxford at home if we are going to survive in the championship. If we lose to QPR or Cardiff we are in serious trouble.
@@PompeyInitMush I've supported Pompey all my life and seen them play in every division over more than 50 years. I'm just being realistic. What I'm seeing this season worries me and the summer recruitment was not what I hoped it would be at all. I really rate Mousinho and he did well to make changes and lift the players after the Stoke embarrassment, but we just don't look like a championship team at the moment. That Stoke defeat has been coming for a while. We've been very lucky in quite a few games and our luck ran out big time that night. I think the players were very complacent and I hope they learn from it. On a more positive note, the Oxford game was a vast improvement and O'Mahoney has now scored twice in two games. We've got a couple of decent players to come back from injury as well. All is not lost, but we've really got to beat QPR or Cardiff. If we lose either of those games we are in some fairly big trouble.
And who replaces him? I can't think of any manager who could keep us up with that squad. It's not Mousinho's fault that the club didn't sign a single proven championship-standard player. He's a very good young manager having his reputation ruined by some terrible summer signings that he had almost no say in.
Bishop is a massive miss but certain payers look out their depth in this league, the championship is a hard league and unfortunately mousinho is way out his depth competing n coaching in this league
@@POMPEY1985-yk1yb Mousinho is a good manager. We got absolutely hammered on Wednesday and he dealt with it very well. He made changes and lifted the players and they delivered a much better performance that really should have won us the game. That's as much as you can ask for after a result like that. Considering the squad we've got this season he's done very well. A point away at Leeds and Boro is an excellent result and we came close to beating Burnley as well. And we held Sheffield United to a draw. In reality, today was our first winnable game this season and we did almost win it. I don't understand why anyone thought Stoke away in midweek would be an easy game. I didn't expect a hiding like that, but I never saw that game as a guaranteed 3 points like some did. Stoke is a difficult place to go. Our squad isn't good enough, but Mousinho is definitely good enough to manage at this level. Give him some decent players and he will turn this around. I have complete faith in him, but I can't say the same about Rich Hughes and the owners.
Thanks once again Nolan and dad for the video and comments, shame about the result, interesting reading the comments on the selection of players, who is responsible for who joins the squad? Have they experience or are they just business types, as in the past I think the manager should select players who fit his style of play. As you have said we must keep faith. PUP⚓️

Always hope we both stay up save on the travel costs next year!
Sad reality is we are just not good enough. Can’t see how we are going to turn this around.
