That appears to be a vintage LP Aspire stand. I have one I managed to find on ebay that looks identical. It did not have the outside brackets, the ones that go between the center piece of wood and the drum itself. It was used and they may have been discarded. It is a very sturdy, heavy weighted stand. You can lower it to play seated but it is a bit tall still.
Just discovered your 'teachings, tips, and fun.' I have a very nice set of bongos and am struggling with choosing a stand. I would love it if there was a stand they could be set up for seated or standing, but it almost seems like those are mutually exclusive events. I don't recognize the standard brackets that you're showing on your video here, but it looks enticing what suggestions would you offer?
PLEASE, several of us want to know - Where can one get a stand/brackets like that? I’ve only ever seen strap lock or clamp type. That bracket system is elegant. Thanks! 🙏
David Stefanowicz Yeah, I’m thinking he’s probably had that stand since like 1981 and they’re just not around anymore? Idk. I ended up going with the Gibraltar 7716, it’s a nice stand (it’s tall, so designed for a standing player). It has a better system than most, with a solid clamp and a top piece that locks it in, and a support bracket that goes up against the bottom of the bongos. There’s a video on YT about it.
👏👍 Unlike the beatniks of the 1950’s and early 1960’s, I only play professional grade bongos with a stand. Otherwise, they are a big pain in the thighs. 😢 Ouch!
This channel answered every question I have about my new set of bongos and stand. Much appreciated man!

Thanks, where did you buy your brackets?
the mr clean "sub n like" killed me xD
Yeah I can't find those brackets anywhere and the clamp I ordered instead is too wide. Back to the drawing board.
I really like that stand setup. Apparently it’s a mystery on where to get it! I can’t find them! Me cago en dies!

I was about to buy a stand on amazon, I think I'll stick with resting drums on my legs.
