I was initially reluctant to make this studio tour of Reef Builders. After talking with Jake's wife Windsor and his brother Luc, we agreed it would be nice to show this footage from my visit last year before Jake's passing. If you loved Jake Adams and love Reef Builders, I hope you enjoy.

Thank you for making this and thank you for asking his family. He will truly be missed but has left an eternal positive impact on the reefing community. I hope that the amazing new team running Reef Builders Studio can continue doing work that Jake Adams would be proud of.

The loss of Jake Adams to the hobby for me, who didn't know him personally - has been enormous and I find myself searching TH-cam for his replacement and I cannot find it. The inspiration he provided was second to none on TH-cam. May his soul rest in peace. Thank you for posting this video, your camera work is amazing and is a tribute to a giant in aquarium keeping.

Than, thank you for the additional footage and commentary from Jake's studio. Not unlike yourself, he was considered by many, an Ambassador for the Reef Aquarium Community. We could really feel the enthusiasm and excitement behind each of his uploads; tank maintenance days have definitely felt different since his passing, as I would play ReefBuilders recent uploads during my water change routine. My deepest condolences for the Adams' Family.

I think the entire hobby with miss this studio.
It was certainly Jake's and Reef Builders. But it was also such a phenomenal vehicle for testing, education, and just nerding out over topics which unite this hobby.
There are few spaces dedicated as studios; not for used in aquaculture with the aims of profitability, but simply as a marine display studio aimed at reaching the pinnacles of this genera in it's pure hobby form.
Like many, I never had the privilege to meet Jake. Nonetheless, his grounded if unorthodox advice was always welcome. And I will forever adore both his coral flats and his collection of deep water Acropora. Nice tribute and beautiful videography

We all leave indelible marks on the systems we create. Even if you have similar equipment and livestock, the specific combination of those two factors make the system look different to the viewer. This phenomena creates the reefer's "style" that the systems exude to the viewer. Thank you for capturing Jake's style for us all and his family to see. I am saving this to a list of favorite reefbuilders videos so I can continue to take inspiration from Jake. Thank you Than.

The importance of this video cannot be overstated, or is it understated? I don't know, but it is an important video. It's like a modern 2023 version of what the ancient peoples of the world did to honor good kings who built the cities and culture - by immortalizing them in works of art and on stone tablets. You hit the nail on the head to say that this video is the last of the best of the studio under Jake's hand. thank you.

Hi Mike. Saltwater fish keeping is not hard. If you are keeping a Fish Only With Live Rock (FOWLR), you got this all day. Going coral stick with soft. With soft coral you can get away with regular water changes with a reef salt and a cost effective marine light. Once you go to LPS or SPS, get ready to soend money and move into another level. Get the Saltwater master test kit from API. Use it for cycling.
