I know that this is like a tutorial but whenever I want some fishing planet gameplay I come here. It's just that he is holding the conversation and it just feels like what a gameplay should be. even w twitch, if he isn't streaming then I don't even bother logging on cuz the other gameplays are garbage (no offense to current streamers).
he's dead on target about the pan fish, I caught all of them within 5 min, I also used my regular high level rods, no issues...btw there's no "cooldown" at Emerald, just change baits, if you're fishing for Walleye, you can catch it ALL DAY, just switch to shiners when minnows stop working, and back when shiners stop working, but try to stick with minnows so you can buy more while at the lake. if that doesn't work and you're just catching Pike, cast to 20 x 39(to the left of where he showed you to cast), if you can't cast that far, don't change anything....and start casting out as far as you can, then trolling the bait in at the lowest speed, spotting every 20 feet or so for a second. YES, it works, as long as you have about 55-60" leader line, you may not catch Walleye as much, but you can have one line out, and one line trolling, fun to mix it up. you're welcome :P ...thanks for the video! you talk fast af, but it's good info!

Don't cast past about past 120ft. out if you just want Walleye, they bite on the edges of the light and dark blue on the map(M). btw, my comments are not to discourage you from doing things your way, or his way, or just experimenting, I just want to share what I know works, esp with free players, it's a hell of a grind sometimes, and I think spoilers are fine for that, the more info you have, the more fish/money/stuff you'll get.../BEER for all! :) (except minors..don't drink!:P)

Rod stands. Pick the 3 legged one. You can't use the stand with 1 leg in the dock anymore because its a wood 😂, updated few months ago, level 24 rod stand and you cen sat 2 rods on it
use the best rods you can for Walleye, or your throwing money away on repairs....also use leaders(titanium .005/11lb), they're cheap, last forever, help distance a tiny bit, and will keep you from losing gear as quickly. ***the comments I make are not geared towards XP, they for catching fish, the XP penalty isn't enough to stress over, being broke af, is.
Just get to the point where you can catch walleye and have the 66 pound net then yes it will take awhile but you will be able to go to expensive areas and afford it.
You can end up really broke if you're not prepared , have a really big keepnet .. amd kkow what you doing... and don't go there to farm walleye without that purple or black narrowness barbless spoon... . One more important think .. book this trip for a week or atleast 3 days so you be able to sell all catch without leaving the lake

Ive not been to emerald yet because of the prices, is it worth going for 2 or 3 days?
Go for as long as you can with as large of a net as you can and just farm the walleye for a couple days. 300+ per fish
