This is honestly a pretty cool idea for programming. Huggy Wuggy is basically forced into an animation lock and there’s multiple spread around the map (most likely) that all stop at different times. And yet the only part of Huggy that’s always changing is the head as it’s set to always look at the player, that why when he was behind Huggy he still was facing him.
There are multiple, I think three of them. One at this point, one at the very beginning when you first see him in the vents and one where he first starts chasing you. It's actually really cool and the shuffling sounds are attached to the model so it's just constantly playing vent sounds around him. The head is kinda like a billboard, I think, so that it always faces the character and that's what causes jankiness here
Seeing you constantly grab at the vent walls just makes me think of how sick a speed game this would be if the grab pack had a grapple feature in a future chapter.

I love how the other door pointlessly opens to nothing I think the creators do this to show the beauty and hard work they put into their game Or they just don't expect any of this and just yaknow.
Once you realize how primitive the scripting and pathing are they are pretty easy to find. The only point in time he is ever actually pathing to the player is in the main factory room. The rest of the tunnel segment is just a set of event triggers that spawn and despawn him and have him following a predefined path they also deload previous segments. One such spot is that doorway mid tunnel which glitches out his death proxy script.
