Poor guy had so many horrendous overthrows, underthrows, and just generally bad passes come his way last season. He could have had at least 5-6 home runs of 50+ yards had his QB's been able to connect.

Like the squad. Think Jerry Jeudy is this year's Robby Anderson, and I love that you spent the pick on Kittle. If Carson gets off to a hot start I might try and package him with one of your bench players and upgrade to a big time RB.

The RB situation just gets worse. For decades it was not out of the norm for me to take 5 straight RB's and go from there. Worked like a charm, year by year though it just gets thinner. 5 straight backs is suicide now, I'm even contemplating just taking 2 top 20 RB's and going 49er combo as my backup/flex and the handcuffs to my top 20 RB combo. Just take WR's and one of the TE trio.

Hey footclan and ballers. My draft is tonight and is a 10 team PPR league. I have the 7th spot in the draft and a lot of my mock drafts have given me the option to get the Tyreek and mahomes stack. Would you take it and sacrifice the RB position in the first two rounds?
No QB is worth that high of a draft pick and at 7 there will still be at least one RB I like better than Tyreek. Adams and Rodgers double stack can be nice if you really want to stack because you can get Rodgers much later than Mahomes
I would try and take a stud RB like Zeke or Aaron Jones at 7. If i did go WR i would go Adams. Try and get an Ayiuk in the 5th Lance in the 13th low cost stack.
To be fair. In mike’s example for Trey lance of 18/23 qbs drafted in the top 15 starting by week 5, most of those teams are bad teams. And most of those teams have bad qbs. I mean one of those qbs was kyler. Obviously he was going to get the start. The team that is the most similar to the 49ers situation is the chiefs with pat Mahomes. Both teams were playoff caliber teams prior to drafting the qb. The 49ers were just very injured last year. Both teams traded up to draft their qb. Both teams had a solid though uninspiring starting qb. Alex smith is actually a great comp for jimmy g. A quarterback that doesn’t have the elite upside but takes care of the ball and has a great record as a starter for his team at the time. The only difference is that jimmy g is injury prone which is the only way I see Trey lance getting the starting nod. Having said that, he might be worth it in the 12th, just a question of if he’s worth the roster spot for 8+ weeks it might take for that injury to come
Great feeling to have 5/9 of the “my guys” on my roster lol (Higbee, CEH, Lockett, Aiyuk, Lance). Still got Zeke, Chubb, and Herbert in the starting lineup too on top of that
The case for Trey Lance is the same case that makes me uncomfortable with Aiyuk. I'm worried that there won't be enough passing work for Aiyuk to deliver the upside we're hoping for.
Trey Lance will only ever get the nod over Jimmy G when Shanahan feels he's the more capable of the two, which for that offense (from my vantage point) means when Lance is actually ready to let it rip. Given how how low Jimmy G's output as a passer has been over the past few seasons, I can't quite see how anyone would be anything less than excited over the possibility of Trey Lance starting. Sure he's going to take a few for himself, but he has an unbelievable arm and his ceiling as a pure passer is far greater than Jimmy G's (IMO). From that end, I feel like Aiyuk is insured against any of the changes Shanahan makes at QB. I pretty much view it the same as I did when Mahomes took over for Alex Smith. People at that time thought Tyreek might suffer, but lo and behold it was the best thing that could've happened for his career. I think Aiyuk will also inherit that same sort of boost, especially being that he's a beast in the run-game in his own right.
sf has a cupcake schedule for the first 6 games and could easily be 4-2 entering their bye week. if lance doesn't start the year you may not see him till week 8 or 9.

In need of advice! I’m trying ready to draft for my full ppr dynasty startup. My league mates usually go heavy RB, I traded picks so I have 1.06 and 1.09. According to the info I have WRs are more valuable, would it be bad to take the top two WRs with these picks? The league is 2rb 2wr 2flex, full ppr dynasty. Also if I should go this route what do you guys think of going zero RB? Thanks for advice I have looked over everything and I can’t decide
In my keeper league last season our champ own with his first 2 picks being adams and Hopkins but it's hard for a wr to have the kinda season adams did and the rb position is so valuable because there are less rbs than wrs that will put up big points every week at rb
@@jdunlap8339 definitely not impossible. I think Hock leads all TEs in targets this year because there's literally no one else on that team. If both stay healthy for the whole season I just can't see it, but like you said if Higbee goes TD bananas like Tonyan did last year it's possible.
I think your wrong on Aaron Jones but right on the other 2. Jones should be top 10 but I just dont see top 3. He would need a lot of tds. Packers are too pass happy. I actually like Ekler more than Jones.

Ekler in a full ppr yes but people need to lower their expectation on ekler. Aaron jones will take over the passing work left my Jamal Williams. My only worry for jones is will gb use Dillion at the goaline or stick to jones. Jones has been a stud inside the 5, but gb have said they will have work for Dillion. If jones has the goaline work and is now the pas catching back, he can get rb3. He was rb2 I believe two or three years ago

With the Chargers hiring Defensive genius Staley, I think it’s only fair that the defense improves and game scripts call for more running and less passing. I am curious to hear your opinion on Ekeler/Jones.

Oh My. Drafted on Wednesday and came out with 5 of the 9 my guys (Lamb, Aiyuk, Higbee, Mooney, and Lance). Also rollin with Zeke, Mixon, JuJu, and Taysom Hill in a 12-Team from the 1.11.
Hey footclan and ballers. My draft is tonight and is a 10 team PPR league. I have the 7th spot in the draft and a lot of my mock drafts have given me the option to get the Tyreek and mahomes stack. Would you take it and sacrifice the RB position in the first two rounds?
No QB is worth that high of a draft pick and at 7 there will still be at least one RB I like better than Tyreek. Adams and Rodgers double stack can be nice if you really want to stack because you can get Rodgers much later than Mahomes
I would try and take a stud RB like Zeke or Aaron Jones at 7. If i did go WR i would go Adams. Try and get an Ayiuk in the 5th Lance in the 13th low cost stack.

To be fair. In mike’s example for Trey lance of 18/23 qbs drafted in the top 15 starting by week 5, most of those teams are bad teams. And most of those teams have bad qbs. I mean one of those qbs was kyler. Obviously he was going to get the start.
The team that is the most similar to the 49ers situation is the chiefs with pat Mahomes.
Both teams were playoff caliber teams prior to drafting the qb. The 49ers were just very injured last year.
Both teams traded up to draft their qb.
Both teams had a solid though uninspiring starting qb. Alex smith is actually a great comp for jimmy g. A quarterback that doesn’t have the elite upside but takes care of the ball and has a great record as a starter for his team at the time. The only difference is that jimmy g is injury prone which is the only way I see Trey lance getting the starting nod.
Having said that, he might be worth it in the 12th, just a question of if he’s worth the roster spot for 8+ weeks it might take for that injury to come

The case for Trey Lance is the same case that makes me uncomfortable with Aiyuk. I'm worried that there won't be enough passing work for Aiyuk to deliver the upside we're hoping for.
Trey Lance will only ever get the nod over Jimmy G when Shanahan feels he's the more capable of the two, which for that offense (from my vantage point) means when Lance is actually ready to let it rip. Given how how low Jimmy G's output as a passer has been over the past few seasons, I can't quite see how anyone would be anything less than excited over the possibility of Trey Lance starting. Sure he's going to take a few for himself, but he has an unbelievable arm and his ceiling as a pure passer is far greater than Jimmy G's (IMO). From that end, I feel like Aiyuk is insured against any of the changes Shanahan makes at QB. I pretty much view it the same as I did when Mahomes took over for Alex Smith. People at that time thought Tyreek might suffer, but lo and behold it was the best thing that could've happened for his career. I think Aiyuk will also inherit that same sort of boost, especially being that he's a beast in the run-game in his own right.
sf has a cupcake schedule for the first 6 games and could easily be 4-2 entering their bye week. if lance doesn't start the year you may not see him till week 8 or 9.
Boys, my league just drafted and if you wanna talk about craziness and "My Guys"... Henry went #1 and CMC fell to #3 in my league. This is a decently competitive league with the same guys as last year. I have no idea what they were thinking

In need of advice! I’m trying ready to draft for my full ppr dynasty startup. My league mates usually go heavy RB, I traded picks so I have 1.06 and 1.09. According to the info I have WRs are more valuable, would it be bad to take the top two WRs with these picks?
The league is 2rb 2wr 2flex, full ppr dynasty. Also if I should go this route what do you guys think of going zero RB? Thanks for advice I have looked over everything and I can’t decide
In my keeper league last season our champ own with his first 2 picks being adams and Hopkins but it's hard for a wr to have the kinda season adams did and the rb position is so valuable because there are less rbs than wrs that will put up big points every week at rb

I love a good hot take but having Higbee finishing ahead of Hockenson is too spicy for me.
Spicy but not impossible. What if higbee has less volume but grabs 8 tds? Could happen.
@@jdunlap8339 definitely not impossible. I think Hock leads all TEs in targets this year because there's literally no one else on that team. If both stay healthy for the whole season I just can't see it, but like you said if Higbee goes TD bananas like Tonyan did last year it's possible.

I think your wrong on Aaron Jones but right on the other 2. Jones should be top 10 but I just dont see top 3. He would need a lot of tds. Packers are too pass happy. I actually like Ekler more than Jones.
@@The0Kiyubii0Kid it’s already come out the chargers won’t be using ekler at the goaline. Chargers have said they want to use a rotation for there rb. Ekler in a full ppr yes but people need to lower their expectation on ekler. Aaron jones will take over the passing work left my Jamal Williams. My only worry for jones is will gb use Dillion at the goaline or stick to jones. Jones has been a stud inside the 5, but gb have said they will have work for Dillion. If jones has the goaline work and is now the pas catching back, he can get rb3. He was rb2 I believe two or three years ago
@@The0Kiyubii0Kid I understand where you’re coming from. You question Aaron Jones getting the TDs when he has 30 the past 2 seasons. I think it’s only fair I question Ekeler’s TDs. He’s a PPR machine no doubt but that 92 catch season was with checkdown Phil and a team that constantly played from behind. With the Chargers hiring Defensive genius Staley, I think it’s only fair that the defense improves and game scripts call for more running and less passing. I am curious to hear your opinion on Ekeler/Jones.
