The night time tour looks nice - I remember all the beautiful jungle sounds in the evening in the Amazon rainforest 🌳
It's such a magical experience. The Amazon rainforest is still on our list. But we are in the vicinity so we will most probably get to it before crossing the oceans again. 😄
I would enjoy seeing the wildlife, and especially the turtles! Definitely need to go during turtle season. But the alligators? THAT would freak me out!
It would freak me out too if i was in the water or if the boat wasn't stable. From a safe distance we are more brave. 😂 Just wait until you see our Caño Negro wetlands boat trip video (coming soon) There was a lagoon with a huge amount of them hanging around. And again, impressive from a safe distance. 😄
Ooooh, this kayaking/canoeing looks so fun!!!
It does indeed but i rather stick to the canoeing with a guide than kayaking on such a small vessel with all the alligators around. What if it tips over... but then again that will only happen once... 😂

It really is a great place to visit. Tortuguero is also known as the Amazons of Costa Rica. Of course with the night tour you get to see a whole different variety of animals. It really is rich in biodiversity. 😊

It really is an amazing place to visit, loads of biodiversity. It's actually quite a secluded place, only accessible by boat, which makes it even more special. 😄
WAIT A MINUTE!!! Was that an otter at 4:08?!?! How did you not tell me about this?! And why does it look like he's wearing sunglasses? haha
It is indeed, surprise! 😄 I did tag you in a short clip on Insta a while back when we just shot this but as i'm not quite the Insta wizard i might have done it all wrong. 😅 Those are jungle sunglasses by the way and work just about the same. 😂 In the shorter version of this tour i also made an intended pun when this fellow came on screen (Otter wildlife) as of course you were the first thing on our minds when we saw it. The guide told us that these big ones are also referred as water dogs. We were quite lucky it just popped out of the water right as we passed this spot. Front row seat for the show! Such a joy to see. 😍🦦

How did you find the local tour guide with the boat ?
The hotel we stayed had him assigned and as far as i know, all hotels have a local guide assigned. The day we arrived he approached us and offered several options as for tours. However there are also several tour operators in the centre of town and local guides waiting for new arrivals at the dock. Prices are pretty much the same either way.
