Yep and he handled the low amount of talking time very well. He had to be very tactical about what he talked about for example he didn't talk about the people needing weapons of war to protect against bad government but instead used that time to appeal to the general audience by simply saying that the regulations don't work.

A gun is a tool like a knife or a bat or a car so these people labeled a certain rifle as an assault rifle to begin the gun ban. Fully automatic guns are already banned. The other thing being discussed is illegals. Illegal is illegal and I don’t give a shit why they are here only that they shouldn’t be here. If you want to work here you can get a green card to do that. Many are here working and have committed identity theft to get the jobs. I agree with Knowles on most matters, but not this. I would have argued that, even though fists, knives and bats etc might cause more deaths in the country overall, the big difference is that it would be next to impossible to wipe out 60 children in a masssacre with even a sword, let alone fists, before someone took you down. Gun control is the one thing i disagree with my fellow conservatives on. My primary interest is in preventing any future tragedies and if we have to give up our semi-automatic weapons for that to happen then so be it. I would also feel safer as a law enforcement officer knowing there are eventually going to be much less guns on the streets.

@Lord Pigpen O'Dirt Small point. "Assault Rifle" is the term used for select-fire rifles. "Assault Weapon" is the boogieman term that is constantly in flux and disorder, with no clear definition beyond whatever looks scary.
These are the same people who think the AR in AR-15 actually stands for Assault Rifle.

Good luck defending yourself against the government with an AR-15. They have drones, tanks and aircraft. The hunting thing is also pretty invalid. You can hunt just as effectivly with a bolt action rifle. The only time you might need an AR-15 is if the animals you are hunting are also armed and hunting you.

I'm not sure why everyone makes this about left vs right. It's an important discussion and shoudnt have to be a political one. I'm pretty right wing but I disagree on gun control. It's more important to me to prevent future massacres and protect law enforcement officers than to satisfy redneck gun lovers. Keep your 9mm if you must, but why do you need military style weapons? You're not living in downtown Baghdad or Afghanistan.

You need a license to drive a car. Driving is a privilege. You can also drink and drive, hit and run, etc and still have a license to drive again at a later point. If you did anything remotely stupid with a gun, you're probably never going to be able to legally own one again. A privilege vs a right. And why should anyone have to pay to have their rights?
Good points. Personally, I don't think people's right to own a gun should be taken away for anything but felony level violent crimes. I hate that all felons, no matter the crime, lose their gun rights.
I'm against licenses for gun ownership. I don't mind that there is the form currently that you fill out, prevents felons from purchasing one. I think however they should be treaded like a jetski, at least in New York, you have to take a safety course. Have local gun clubs host them, I have 3 within a few miles of me, not sure if that's normal. No crazy federal oversight, just some guidelines to follow, teach trigger discipline, backdrops, muzzle discipline. A general safety course that's like $15 and an hour or 2 once a month. For to purchase a firearm, not to own one.

Because you can drive on X and easily get away with it but alcohol gets a special label because peoples family members died and you can see if someone is drunk with roadside testing. Knowles is straight to the points and facts, disputes miss evidence in a calm and composed way, he is what all people in politics should strive to be when up against multiple people with a differing view.
These people have no facts, evidence, and purely base their arguments on feelings. The only way Knowles can improve is to add a level of feeling to his argument using real instances of people for his argument. Not just facts and evidence because that won't get through to them cause feelings is all they base their arguments on.
