I would have argued that, even though fists, knives and bats etc might cause more deaths in the country overall, the big difference is that it would be next to impossible to wipe out 60 children in a masssacre with even a sword, let alone fists, before someone took you down. Gun control is the one thing i disagree with my fellow conservatives on. My primary interest is in preventing any future tragedies and if we have to give up our semi-automatic weapons for that to happen then so be it. I would also feel safer as a law enforcement officer knowing there are eventually going to be much less guns on the streets.

You need a license to drive a car. Driving is a privilege. You can also drink and drive, hit and run, etc and still have a license to drive again at a later point. I'm against licenses for gun ownership. I don't mind that there is the form currently that you fill out, prevents felons from purchasing one. I think however they should be treaded like a jetski, at least in New York, you have to take a safety course. Have local gun clubs host them, I have 3 within a few miles of me, not sure if that's normal. No crazy federal oversight, just some guidelines to follow, teach trigger discipline, backdrops, muzzle discipline. A general safety course that's like $15 and an hour or 2 once a month. For to purchase a firearm, not to own one.

Personally I want caps to help better regulate influxes of migrant workers, let the cities and states balance out population wise and integration. We need to put at least a 5 year ban on migrations to catch up. (Aside from legal asylum seekers). Note there are international laws regarding seeking asylum, they do not include passing through other good countries to find the best one. You flee quatamala you stop in the next adjacent non conflict country.

You need a license to drive a car. Driving is a privilege. You can also drink and drive, hit and run, etc and still have a license to drive again at a later point. If you did anything remotely stupid with a gun, you're probably never going to be able to legally own one again. A privilege vs a right. And why should anyone have to pay to have their rights?

I'm against licenses for gun ownership. I don't mind that there is the form currently that you fill out, prevents felons from purchasing one. I think however they should be treaded like a jetski, at least in New York, you have to take a safety course. Have local gun clubs host them, I have 3 within a few miles of me, not sure if that's normal. No crazy federal oversight, just some guidelines to follow, teach trigger discipline, backdrops, muzzle discipline. A general safety course that's like $15 and an hour or 2 once a month. For to purchase a firearm, not to own one.

General Win such bullshit I have see it with my own eyes. A women came here from Somali with 2 kids and was given the full package. Sec 8 a check for a security deposit, 500$ cash on her EBT card, 850$ in food stamps. She literally got off the plain and went str8 to the welfare off. I know a handful of the social workers in the welfare off in my building and they tell me this happens all day every day. Most coming from Muslim and India counties. When they talk about thier grand mothers and mothers coming into this country they did not cross a river under the dark of night sneaking across the border they came in through a port of entry.
The issue is imigrants are sneaking in because they either have no reasonable legal claim to come in as asylum seekers or any other requirement, have no documentation, or have records. In all the cases they are approaching it like squatters, they are banking on just slipping in and know like a filthy tick, they are harder to get out after they already broke our laws. Seeking a new home is not a crime, but purposely gaming the system is.
We need borders because if we had none, we quite literally would be over run. It is not a stretch to call it illegal, or even an assult.
Personally I want caps to help better regulate influxes of migrant workers, let the cities and states balance out population wise and integration.
We need to put at least a 5 year ban on migrations to catch up. (Aside from legal asylum seekers). Note there are international laws regarding seeking asylum, they do not include passing through other good countries to find the best one. You flee quatamala you stop in the next adjacent non conflict country.
