Dubstep doesn't rely on as many crazy glitches and sounds. It some times could have some dirty stuff but brostep focuses a lot on drops and dirty, glitchy mid and high range noises.
There's nothing wrong with it, it's good, people just be mad because it took the dubstep beat and became popular often without any kind of homage or anything.

Skrillex is actually a pretty heavy producer its just how know his stuff is that makes people like you hate him and think hes crap when hes the reason a lot of people now listen to it.
