Jinbao KO Warbotron OS Bruticus, all the way for me. Pretty good G1 appearance, minimal bot kibble, metallic paint, MP scale, with clackety ratchety joints, and a cheap price.
Thank you, I really liked this video. You covered every important point very well. The only minor point I would add is one of them (I'm pretty sure UT) has an option for both the Toy and Toon style combined chest shield.
Hey bro, it's not speculation. Toyworld posted publically on their Weibo. The design company was called Jefferies Toy Company (ex Matel designer reportedly) Production had already begun, and the two companies couldn't agree on "Initial investment" So Jeffery started Zeta, and owns Bruticus & Superion. Toyworld is hiring a new designer, and has publically said that they will honor current pre orders.
I love the G1 look of unique toys alt modes, bots not so much. Zeta combine mode looks pretty awesome, but im not sure how I feel about swindle being turned around. I really like my warbotron, but I think I will get both of these as well. Hopeless slave to the plastic crack! Thanks for another sit down Saturday Bobby, keep them coming! (so to speak)
The sleeper combiner to get is the Jinbao Warobtron. It is a very nice piece. It's durable, sturdy, and much better scaling than the original. The biggest kicker is, it's only ~$140. That is crazy ridiculous dirt cheap pricing. Even if the original Warbotron was $200, I'd still not buy it cause the scaling is off and knowing there are better scaling version are coming. When you're spending that much $ on an MP toy, scaling should be one of the top priority in picking the 'right' ones. When I look back at buying all those 3rd Party combiners like Hercules, Big Giant, Quantron, Feral Rex, etc...I thought to myself, what a huge damn waste of $$$ I've spent on them. They all look like SH*T standing next to my other MPs cause of their small scaling. The Jinbao Warbotron and Constructor are the only ones that fit better in the MP Scale. The new TW Bruticus will even be better in scaling than the Jinbao's. Most importantly, I'm still waiting for a 6 ft Unicron!!!
Master Hoarder I'm going to have to ask you not to assume you can speak on my behalf. Not everyone obsesses over the "scale" of all their bot's like you seem to. I have Maketoys Green Giant and I plan on getting their version of Computron. The size of these combines is just right for me.
To be honest, Predaking is made up of robotic animals, so scale isn't really that big of a deal regarding him imo, unless you want him to be among the bigger ones, considering that Predaking is the strongest combiner. If you still think Feral Rex is too small, for now, the only bigger choice is Power of the Primes Predaking. Problem is that the quality is inferior unless you get some upgrade kits.
That Zeta Toys Bruticus is the one I would go for. Providing FansToys doesn't reveal something soon that blows it away, because as you said, that combined mode is pretty much on the nose.
Great Saturday discussion video. I sold my Warbotron Bruticus in preparation for Toyworld. I intend to keep it combined for display purposes, so In should be ok. Can't wait for your future reviews. Thanks again!!!
Another awesome discussion video 👍🏻 The question about build and material quality is what I'm waiting for to be answered. I'm hoping to start picking up the "masterpiece scale" combiners and I look forward to your review to help me decide what is the best bang for my buck.
It's interesting how one company is producing arm bots first and the other is putting out leg bots first, maybe some behind the scenes talks have happened.
Everyone that mentioned the Jin Bao Bruticus is dead on-that thing is absurdly detailed, huge, it fits together great and is very stable, and most of all, you can get him for 130 bucks shipped. He's about 4 inches smaller than Hasbro Fortress Maximus and 25% of the price. Of all the Masterpiece-ish combiners I currently have (TFC Poseidon, Feral Rex, Unique Toys Abominus, Make Toys Computron, Hasbro Devastator, TFC Defensor, and soon to finish the Trans Form Mission Menasor) and the 130 dollar Jin Bao is still by far my favorite combiner. I don't see how it can be beat on any level-price, look, ease of access, and attention to detail. Also-did I mention it's 130 dollars total?
Hailun Tan unless you have seen something I missed more recently FT's official statement was that they are waiting to get more experience before trying the more complicated issue of Combiners.
Bruticus is probably my favorite combiner. Warbotron is displayed behind glass until I see a Massive upgrade I'm holding the line. BUT if I had a choice I would go with Unqiue Toys having a tangible with Abominus which I like very much and quite frankly the scale which all of these seem to be on the same page on. Good Saturday and great stuff.
I got to look at the Zeta Toys prototype at a local transformers meet up today. I believe just colored plastic didn't pay too much attention to it. Had a good amount of heft, was huge, and the alt mode looked pretty good. Although the range of motion was terrible and great deal of kibble. Seeing it in hand caused to go in on it. 55-60$ was worth the risk. Great video
Once again a great comprehensive take covering all the angles on a hot fandom topic -- will be exciting to see how this situation all shakes out in the end. No matter what -- since you are getting both -- please please please do a comparison video of at least both combined modes once you have them in hand.
Great video Bobby, and thankyou!! I did not know Zeta was part of Toyworld, when I saw the Zeta combinders I assumed Toyworld was going to be delayed or something. Constructor set the bar as far as I'm concerned with combiners, I'm a G1 nut and Unique Toy have the look in bot mode, and nobody is perfect but Toyworld or Zeta definately has shown us the stabillity from Constructor! Thanks again!!
My V2 constructor has totally sold me on this scale and the parts forming hips are the end of the discussion regarding stability. I can't get UTs based on that and the proportions looking wrong, but I'm not up for being a guinea pig with Zeta either. Toyworld have also said they are releasing new designs for both brute and superion. Wait and see for me now.
Good discussion. I really like having an "editorial" aspect to all the discussion boards, kind of puts a cap on all the discussions. I'd love to hear your take on the Takara Tomy Jazz/Porsche discussion, as well as the G1/Beast Wars quasi fight, and the TFC,KFC,Generation toys,DR Wu...who are all these people...discussion
All that I can say about these 2 is this is would be a 3d printers dream. Meaning it be cool if the connection ports were interchangeable & both toy lines were swappable. The thing with some 3rd party figures that are kind of ‘meh’ actually kick tutus when upgraded or modded. And to me… I kind of get that vibe with these guys. Cool discussion Skull.
Seeing this for first time. Glad I'm not the only one buying UT brut bots, for botmode only, other plans for combined. Same with Arial bots and a few other combiners.
alot of them are saying Jinbao's Warbotron. And I have to agree with them. very sturdy toy, solid in posing, looks awesome in both modes but the slight problem would be the nubmarks in some parts but sanding it is no problem. It's passable to scale with master piece. Cheap price since a bootleg yet it really feels better than the original
Oversized Jinbao Warbotron is actually a very well tooled set - a very solid Bruticus, so I am set. The paint is terrible, but it is so cheap I got two sets and swapped out bad paint parts and now it's good to go. No other MP Brut needed for me, so I can avoid all of these combiners that more than likely are going to be as terrible as Gravity Builder.
Idk if'f I'll get a new Bruticus, but Zeta sounds new, but not sure where they come from. Unique Toys, I know, they've been around for awhile. ToyWorld, could say the same as UT. If I do wind up getting one, between Zeta & UT, would probably go UT on this combiner.
I'm surprised you didn't use the cartoon-accurate chestplate for the UT Bruticus. Zeta's Bruticus has the modernized G1 toy look while UT with Swindle and the cartoon-accurate chestplate will look like ugly Sunbow cartoon-accurate.
People crying over the aesthetics of the individual bots for the Zeta toys, but I love them. I think they look fantastic, so for me... to hell with everyone else. For me the Zeta looks the best indeed, that combined mode (except for the backwards Swindle) looks pretty much perfect. I think the Unique toys looks great, but... for me, not as good as the Zeta. The quality of them is what's going to sell what ever to me. I hope the lower price isn't saying something as to the final outcome then that's gonna suck. I hope the people at Zeta didn't do something shady to acquire this, but... how do we know for sure? Like you Bobby, I'm mot likely going to do both, but... so far, I'm rooting for Zeta. But... only time will tell. I still love the Warbotron, I just think it's too small for my MP collection, even the KO OS is smaller than I would like to be next to Constructor. Fantastic Sit Down Saturday Bobby! I'm interested to see what's next.
I did see a review of the prototype by someone recently, but I wasn't aware of any others. Thank you for the info as I'm really looking forward to these and keeping positive about their release in spite of their low cost.
The facing of swindle (Back or Front) and the facing of blastoff's cockpit, are distinctions between the Toy version and Cartoon version. It's basically a matter of preference.
Well i just pull my trigger in getting toyworld devastator so defintely wil go for zeta combiners, and i hope they will make more of them. its really fascinating to see them big on mp scale.,and if i had the opportunity to get unique toys bruticus ill just keep them in bot mode...
loved my taktom uw devastator with dna upgrade kit.... and the os jinbao warbotron/bruticus is a great buy. it is a bootleg, but it is my definitie bruticus these days
Screw the two. I’m getting the Jinbao Oversized Warbotron Bruticus because it’s $170 on Amazon and I’ll have enough money by then to get it on my 20th birthday. Also, it’s Master Piece sized. The only thing you can’t do with this KO of a Third Part Bruticus is that the hands can’t go in and out.
warbotron was pretty much parts forming. and their menasor looks to be made fully of motormaster and his trailer while the others just connect to it, hopefully that will be pretty sturdy. I'm curious if toyworld is going full on new design from the ground up. with different limb connector designs and everything. seems like zeta would already be ahead of the game and have theirs out much sooner while toyworld comes out and no ones left to buy theirs. but having allegedly done toyworld wrong they may have a hard time finding a company to make their figures for them...
my dilema is im really digging the zeta toys onslaught, it looks awesome, but im digging the the limb bots for the unique toys more and not so much their version of onslaught. I felt like they need to switch those two as unique toys look so much like G1 with the exception of their onslaught who has gorilla-like proportions in bot mode imo haha.
Great and informative video!!! I think the way your doing it is the right decision. Unfortunately I can't afford both. I think for me Zeta is the way to go because I like, the combined mode and plan on leaving it that way...
I personally like Warbotron's aesthetic the best (since i always prefer the more modern looking transformers), so i'll take Jinbao's Warbotron Bruticus KO since its cheap and does have superior joints :D The only complain i had with the Warbotron Bruticus are those gap in the arms.
Dammit Bobby, now you got me thinking I need both. For what it's worth, I think I want these guys as individuals to fill out the Cons ranks a bit. For that purpose UT is winning hands down.
Let's see how responsive Unique Toy is this time around to fans' reactions and suggestions. They are, after all, trying to make a come back with a new line-up and new directions, so who knows, they might try to adjust things before going into production based on fans' comments. The torso of the combined mode, imo, is the main weakness from aesthetic standpoint. It's got that CW look to it with cheap and scrawny looking thighs and waist that looks like results of a special diet. Just needs to be beefed up, whether with filler parts of remodeling of parts. But more importantly, it means that just making mods to Onslaught might be good enough to bring you the perfect Bruticus in both individual and combined forms. Let's hope that is a possibility and not too late in the game for changes to be made
I'm a bruticus fan boy, I have foc bruticus, fansproject colossus, and combiner wars bruticus; and my overall mentality for his figures is that I need them all; however, the only bruticus I will pass on is Zeta's. What I've seen of them does not impress me; but the Unique Toys and Iron Factory ones do
I have a jinbao bruticus I love it the ratcheting joints are fantastic the beauty of such a evil deception I like bruticus no matter what I also love fully articulated hands that's a must for me that's my only selfish part to a combiner set bruticus was my first ever combiner the hasbro version fall of cybertron it was a decent combiner sure it had its flaws and such but I was happy but now I have the jinbao bruticus he is a masterpiece in my eyes not talking about scale or size or anything like that I'm talking that it looks like something you should be afraid of he looks like someone who wanted the last slice of pizza and somone else took it from him so he went all gorilla shit on that person his joints are so tight and ratcheting and he is big I'm happy with what I have but I am also wanting zeta toys bruticus and ocular max bruticus as well looks insane so in the end I would choose both as well even though I got jinbao bruticus
Nice discussion video. I prefer Unique Toys version for combine and individual bots. Zeta Toys combine mode looks great, but if they are going to use that insane amount of "combiner ONLY" parts, it had better be good! Personally I think "Constructor's combiner technology" is a step back to the days of G1...
That Toyworlds Constructor set to me was perfect. I got the OS Warbotron and love it. But I did see other reviews on the Original warbotron and saw how crappy it was made. I know it was made a while back. But. Then came along this oversized version and the fixes were made that should have been done with the original. I have to see the reviews before I get any of these sets. But these companies need to sit down and release a perfect product. Not let the KOs come in and fix the problem that the originals had. These toys are 100 bucks most times a piece. I was glad I waited this long to get these set. I'm waiting to see how that transformission set is gonna be like before I drop the cash. So far I'm not liking breakdowns leg build. But time will tell in this set.
Bobby, in the future, can you maybe explain the logistics of Masterpiece figures and their pricing? I think it was you who said, they charge what people pay, but is it initially based on research, plastic quality, stickers, and die cast materials? Are they put together by hand? Maybe because the audience is relatively small?
As much as I want a Bruticus to stand next to my Constructor, I'm sitting this out until all the Zeta bots are released and there's reviews of him combined. Unique Toys just isn't doing it for me individually or combined.
If it weren't for the stupid transparent plastic ankle ratchets, warbotron would be perfectly fine for me. I'll prob get the UT one for the separate bots because most of them look amazing. Because when you have so many options for well articulated and complex figures these days and prob own a couple versions already, I prioritize G1 accuracy as my ultimate goal. Which is also why I picked KFC's Blitzwing despite the engineering issues. I do wish these companies or even another 3rd party would build replacement parts to improve flaws.
I've always been bugged by the position of Swindle and Blast Off. Is Blast Off's shuttle cockpit window suppose to be facing towards Bruticus' head or away from it? Is Swindle suppose to be showing the upper part of his vehicle mode or his chest? And is he suppose to be facing up like Brawl or facing down? Looking at the G1 animations is so confusing and looking at the toy is just as confusing.
I have the OS KO Warbotron coming so, that will be it for me. However, if one of these proves to be drastically better, I have no issues swapping to another. I am not a huge Bruticus fan so it isn't one I care that much about. I just want a solid representation of the character and I am good. The Superion is another matter entirely, I haven't heard anything about what is happening with that and that is the one I am most interested in. While he isn't my favorite combiner, he is close to the top. I am also of the opinion that this was not the smartest move by Zeta. I would have released the Superion combiner first. There is a Bruticus already on the market. They could have cornered the market with a figure that hasn't been produced at this scale. The Superion was a simpler design than Bruticus as well making it easier to produce in my opinion.
I'm very happy with my Jinbao KO/OS Warbotron. Yes it's a KO, but I love it.
Keep up with the Sitdown Saturdays. I love them!!!
Jinbao KO Warbotron OS Bruticus, all the way for me. Pretty good G1 appearance, minimal bot kibble, metallic paint, MP scale, with clackety ratchety joints, and a cheap price.
meanwhile Warbotron sits on the corner trying not to cry
VRHyoumaru warbotron is the best bruticus
Still Not Good With Masterpiece Figures...
try the jinbao OS ko, much cheapter, issues fixed, more in scale and yeah
I'm happy with my Warbotron looks like I get to save some money.
IDW is my G1. Pretty sure I will be keeping the Warbotron
IDW doesn't have Death's Head, need I say more
Not unless they buy his rights from Marvel.
As of now, the Warbotron's Bruticus is still the best!
Thank you, I really liked this video. You covered every important point very well. The only minor point I would add is one of them (I'm pretty sure UT) has an option for both the Toy and Toon style combined chest shield.
"Look at vortexes *FEET* " 🤘😰🤘 them death vocals tho...
Just catching this one and man kudos to you for the growth in video over the years. It’s like night and day.
I 100% agree, point for point.
Looking forward to the next Saturday morning Skullface sitdown.
Tough one. I like UT bot modes but really like ZT combined mode.
Hey bro, it's not speculation. Toyworld posted publically on their Weibo. The design company was called Jefferies Toy Company (ex Matel designer reportedly)
Production had already begun, and the two companies couldn't agree on "Initial investment" So Jeffery started Zeta, and owns Bruticus & Superion.
Toyworld is hiring a new designer, and has publically said that they will honor current pre orders.
Thanks B&B!
I'm going with Unique toys. I just love those bot modes. Considering I'm buying a Jinbao Bruticus next week I really don't need 3.
I'll just sit back and wait for the oversize KO, yup sir, that's what I'll do.
The sleeper combiner to get is the Jinbao Warobtron. It is a very nice piece. It's durable, sturdy, and much better scaling than the original. The biggest kicker is, it's only ~$140. I put Quantron and Giant next to my deluxe collection and I'm happy with how they look there. Do you only collect MP scale?
Master Hoarder I'm going to have to ask you not to assume you can speak on my behalf. Not everyone obsesses over the "scale" of all their bot's like you seem to. I have Maketoys Green Giant and I plan on getting their version of Computron. The size of these combines is just right for me.
Good for you!! I'm glad you like them!!
The paint job is terrible, but other than the individual bot feet it is tooled well.
Love this format, thanks Uncle Bobby
I'm good with my Warbotron Bruticus for now.
Definitely going to get that IronFactory version though
I like these videos! Please keep doing more!!
That Zeta Toys Bruticus is the one I would go for. Providing FansToys doesn't reveal something soon that blows it away, because as you said, that combined mode is pretty much on the nose.
I'm really enjoying these Saturday vids. Great idea Bobby. Keep up the good work.
great series of videos please do keep doing them very interesting to hear honest opinions
Once again... I think you knocked it out of the park!! Agree with everything you said Mr. Skullface Sir
I appreciate the discussion and information.
Great Saturday discussion video. I sold my Warbotron Bruticus in preparation for Toyworld. I intend to keep it combined for display purposes, so In should be ok. Can't wait for your future reviews. Thanks again!!!
if I remember correctly Toyworld is still gonna do their version of a Bruticus and thus probably a superion
Another awesome discussion video 👍🏻 The question about build and material quality is what I'm waiting for to be answered. I'm hoping to start picking up the "masterpiece scale" combiners and I look forward to your review to help me decide what is the best bang for my buck.

I'll wait for a Fans Toys version. For the price of a 3rd party combiner, I don't want to deal with another Ordin.
rasolyo yeap wait for fanstoys
rasolyo Fanstoys does not issue combiner figures. It was one of their manufacture principles
Hailun Tan unless you have seen something I missed more recently FT's official statement was that they are waiting to get more experience before trying the more complicated issue of Combiners.
@@cameronmoriarty3313 Looks like they got their experience.
I have taste in that vortex and blast off, I like the stuff on the arms and legs, it makes them look nice and chunky and beefy,
Bruticus is probably my favorite combiner. Warbotron is displayed behind glass until I see a Massive upgrade I'm holding the line. Love the Iron Factory War Giant. I, however, bought the KO Pocket Toys Ruiner because it's 1:1, less QC issues, and waaaay cheaper.

i agree 1000%. I'm rooting for Zeta. hope they amaze us with combiner mode.
AWESOME VIDEO BOBBY!
Only of there was a way to mix and match lol.
Good discussion. I really like having an "editorial" aspect to all the discussion boards, kind of puts a cap on all the discussions. I personally like Warbotron's aesthetic the best (since i always prefer the more modern looking transformers), so i'll take Jinbao's Warbotron Bruticus KO since its cheap and does have superior joints :D The only complain i had with the Warbotron Bruticus are those gap in the arms.
Zeta Toys All The Way!!!!
If I Can Afford It...
UT Swindle looks cracking :)
So far, test shots of the zeta Bruticus has great plastic quality. There might not be paint though.
Have you done ocular Max version of bruticus if you have what do you think and which version do you prefer out of the bruticus models
Dammit Bobby, now you got me thinking I need both. For what it's worth, I think I want these guys as individuals to fill out the Cons ranks a bit. For that purpose UT is winning hands down.
I'm starting to collect Zeta
What I've seen of them does not impress me; but the Unique Toys and Iron Factory ones do
you made this on my birthday
im just going to wait for ft..
Swindle is backwards on Zeta Toys. They had one job.
Gavin Powell that's what bugs me about UT swindle in combine
Very good and informative video, I think I'll just stick with my OS Jinbao Bruticus. For the price point I like it.
4th option: I'm going with the iron factory combaticons.
Im gonna get both
Bobby, in the future, can you maybe explain the logistics of Masterpiece figures and their pricing? I think it was you who said, they charge what people pay, but is it initially based on research, plastic quality, stickers, and die cast materials? Are they put together by hand? Maybe because the audience is relatively small?
Bobby, what's your opinion on the Combiner Wars / Unite Warriors Bruticus, just out of curiosity?
As much as I want a Bruticus to stand next to my Constructor, I'm sitting this out until all the Zeta bots are released and there's reviews of him combined. Unique Toys just isn't doing it for me individually or combined.
Vortex looks *EXTRA THICC* to me
If it weren't for the stupid transparent plastic ankle ratchets, warbotron would be perfectly fine for me.
Just waiting for their release and someone savy enough to shapeway zeta onslaught onto the ut limbs.
i will wait for fantoys bruticus
I've always been bugged by the position of Swindle and Blast Off. Is Blast Off's shuttle cockpit window suppose to be facing towards Bruticus' head or away from it? Is Swindle suppose to be showing the upper part of his vehicle mode or his chest? And is he suppose to be facing up like Brawl or facing down? Looking at the G1 animations is so confusing and looking at the toy is just as confusing.
I am waiting to see Mastermind Bruticus
I'm surprised the Warbotron set isn't going to be your bots. I get upgrading the combined mode, but the bots are right-on IMO.
I actually really dig the robot modes of Zeta Blast-off and Vortex. However, I hate the Swindle and Brawl.
Bruticus is best friend
I think it's to early to make a call.
"im buying both"
say no more brother..^5!!
I'm gonna keep my Warbotron .... I wonder whatever happened to them.? Hmmm ?
jokerkidone they probably met their fate with the translator of their comic they provided with their Brute
Bruticos rules mate!!!
