This song makes more sense as part of the Queen of the Murder Scene. It fits really well in context. Ale singing falsetto in the chorus is fantastic.
The acoustic version is very cool and live at Lunario is a banger. Ale's falsetto really stands out in the acoustic version and it's beautiful all the vocals really stand out there. Pau and Dany share the lead vocals and Dany's guitar tone live is awesome. 🔥⚡
Not sure if/when they might ever play this live again.
But there is a fantastic acoustic version they did in a hotel meeting room in their hometown. You should check that one out.

Do yourself a favor- this one Live, Lunario CDMX- 5 yrs ago. It is this on steroids. All 3 just sell it, bring it, sing it, dude they own it. Its wild.

It is amazing. The audio is flawless, and you can really hear Ale, as well as Dany's soaring vocals at the end.
Dany with acoustic guitar, Ale with acoustic bass, and Pau on a little digital drum kit in a hotel meeting room with great microphones. You will be blown away.

The Lunario QOTMS is matched by the Foro Didi QOTMS, and in that one Dany delivers an almost solo Acapella take on Crimson Queen when the sound from her acoustic guitar fails. She simply stops playing, Ale plays a simple bass, and they turn it into a tour de force.

I love this song. All 3 sisters singing together is always fun. Ale really gets into this song. The back-and-forth singing with Dany and Pau.

Many of the TWA will recommend the Lunario in 2018 but personally my favourite version of this song is live at the Whisky GoGo in January 2020.

Sinister Smiles was my all time favorite The Warning song for the last seven years until Automatic Sun bumped it down to number two. And every now and then I still wonder if it's my number one, now that my shock and awe over Automatic Sun is coming down.
All of these songs are "Live" at the Lunario CDMX concert RA, seeing them perform live is an experience. Curious why just the audio.
I'd pay well to see a new version of QOTMS with full production values, by todays TWB. No other filler songs, no extraneous sounds, but the QOTMS story playing behind DPA like a movie. Oh, except maybe for the cool breakdown in Shattered Heart, expanded by today's DPA.

Pau conceived this entire record, and the entire concept. It's brilliant. Pau generally writes everything for the band (Ale and Dany do contribute riffs, and lyrics too) composing on piano and then presenting it to her sisters to work out the instrumentation. One thing is that they are all VERY opinionated on their music, but it's in those heated moments that the brightest lights shine and we get devastatingly awesome music!!! ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘💛💓💙
This song is 10x better in the album context. And it's already a 10 by its self. Obviously the Lunario is best but the acoustic version is also excellent.

This song live from Lunario is a killer. Wish they could play this song again but already 3 years ago they said no in a Q&A session, still wonder why, it is a crowd pleaser.

If somehow forced to pick a "favorite" _The Warning_ tune, it's this one. The composition, lyrics, voice-work and varying musical themes with their trademark "genera-mixing" style just makes it stand out to me.

Saying Pau's not good at double bass sounds like a misquote because she's been doing it since she was a child. In many songs that she's played it in, it seems to be more of a style choice, and when she does put it in songs it's almost hidden sometimes. For instance, there's a pretty prominent section in Evolve that you almost miss unless you're watching her feet from a drum cam.
Check out the entire Queen of the Murder Scene concert at Lunario, it was the debut of the album. Well worth the watch and listen, Ale was only 13 in that concert.
10% or less chance you will ever hear this song sung live by them! Although a great song, too many great songs have followed that now will be added to the set list! Hell, I probably will never get to hear Red Hands Never Fade “live”, and that saddens me also!!!
Maybe this could happen in their upcoming superstar period... A 10th anniversary live one-time-only concert of QOTMS, captured in 8k and sold as a deluxe box set on BluRay and vinyl, with a bonus 3 hour documentary on BluRay covering their entire career in detail. One single boxed set will have a golden ticket good for access to five future sound checks and meet and greets.

Sinister Smiles opens Chapter 3 of Queen of the Murder Scene. Following the murder of the Queen's love interest in Chapter 2, the two sides of the Queen's psyche are essentially fighting for control of the Queen's body.
If you listen closely you'll notice Pau and Dany trade vocals back and forth. Pau covers the light side, Dany plays the dark side of the Queen's rapidly-fracturing psyche.

This one from the Lunario concert is an effing Juggernaut. And they were all teens at the time. I fell asleep and missed this extra track last night. Good choice. I think the new album is gojng to blow people's minds. Jimmy Kimmel tonight. If the VMA performance knocked it to the stratosphere, i expect nothing less tonight.

Oh wow I think I'm going to be trashed by some people in the comments, but something you said brought up a thought. Yes they write songs together, but at least up to MayDay In the Making, a documentary prior to the Error album, Dany is the one who mentions that most of their concepts initially, lyrically and in basic song structure, were initiated by Pau on the piano. NOT to discount the thousands of contributions of the other two sisters, but she is definitely an emotionally creative Beast it seems that conjures ideas with a lot of finesse and consistency. Just look at the 50 or 60 songs they've recorded to date in which her Inspirations have played a heavy hand. Okay I'll go hide now, because some of the superfans are probably going to take me off their "friend" list (who am I kidding I have no friends it's all good😂)
