Thank you for this clear and basic expression. Some TH-cam channel has more tutorials about some Eplan issues but it is not enough because they don't want to help others.

What a plesent surprise that I have found this channel :) I am going to designe quite huge project where as a part of my personal development I have decided to make all cabinets in 3d. This content will definitely helps me because as a secondary challenge for me will be using newest 2023 version :) Even if I have almost 13years of experience with work in ePlan it was all with 2D panels and 2.x versions. I really can't w for your next movie :) fingers crossed

First of all, i would like to congratulate your effort and time invested in creating these videos! They have been of huge help to me. And, i would like to take this opportunity to ask if you could make video on installing, defining and configuring mechanical parts in Eplan Pro Panel, most of all, supports, universal cross rails, etc. and their "linkage" to the structure of the panel, as well as amongst themselves (preferably, Schneider electric cabinets and mechanical components associated to them)? For me, personaly, defining and mounting parts on mounting panels presents no problem. However, when it comes to placing and connecting mechanical components in "intermediate" position sort of speak, that's where the problems start, so it would be of great help to me if you could create such a video. Once again, congrats on your effort so far, and keep up the good work!

I agree with this tutorial request. I also have major problems placing mechanical accessories on cabinets. I can never get the placement and orientation of an accessory part to locate properly

    Hello
A very important point is that the first step in the type of project section must be set to macro project

Hi Uncle Kruno, what cool videos you have made about pro panel, these video's help me a lot. I also have a question, could you show, how to deal with Cable conduit 2596.000, to get the wires to the door through wire routing? For example with cable tube from Rittal 2596.000 holder 2594.000

    • @UncleKruno
      @UncleKruno  ปีที่แล้ว

Hello Martijn, Thank you for your Feedback.
When it comes to routing between 2 mounting surfaces (like mounting panel and door) it may be useful to use "Curves" to connect the routing paths from the respective surfaces.
I already have created a video, on how to create Curves:

If this doesn't solve your question please feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn.
      Cheers

    Hi Kruno
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I need a detailed and step-by-step guide. I downloaded the STP files of a contactor with the possibility of installing an auxiliary contact block on both sides and the corresponding auxiliary contact block (specifically ABB AF46 contactor). In the macro of these parts, what facilities do they need so that the auxiliary contact block is placed in the correct direction on the side of the contactor?

Hey Uncle Kruno! I'm trying to import an enclosure and mounting panel. I'm having trouble getting the mounting panel to sit correctly in the enclosure on the stand-offs. Can you make a video for that?

Great videos man. We are deciding whether or not go to EPLAN from Autocad Electrical. We still don't know if this is the right path to follow, although I'm pushing the higher ups to proceed lol. Question for you, if my 3d file is not STEP but other format, would ProPanel work the same? Can I build my component in EPLAN or do I need to first build the 3D part in either SolidWorks, Inventor, Autiocad 3D, etc? Thanks for your reply loving your content

Hello Jan. Thank you for your feedback and your questions.
I understand that switching software maybe be cumbersome at first, why would you buy a new car if the old one is still working, please feel free to reach out to me via LinkedIn or email: kutnohorski.k@eplanusa.com, ill be happy to support you and your higher-ups with information you need to make the right decision for you.
Regarding your questions, when importing 3D Geometries the only file format is STEP File, however since EPLAN is a database-driven engineering Software you can certainly start without the 3D Geometry, simply by entering W/H/D values in the properties.
Hope this helps you, let me know if there is anything else sir.
      Best Regards
      Kruno

Hello, do you know how you could easily paint the macros? Because i have a alot of gray macros. It would be nice to have some more colour in the cabinet.

Whenever I search in the parts manager for the macro I created, it always searches for a different part with a name nowhere near what I titled the part. I'm thinking it might be due to the fact that I'm unable to save it into the file path that you're saving it to (or similar) at 5:33 of your video.

Do know why but after selecting surface for placement area no green plane showed. Apart from this I don't button Generate automatically for macro (it is gray). What can be the reasons? I upload step file and define properties like you have presented.

      Hello Marcin.
Please make sure that in the Project Properties the Type of Project is selected as "Macro Project"
The placement area will not appear, neither you will be able to generate the macro if the Type of Project is set up as "Schematic Project"
      Hope this helps.
      Kruno

An eplan rep recommended I create a seperate "Macro Project" specifically for bringing in Step files and creating macros.

You may have to rotate the Placement area, before you create the macro.
