    So true...the old guzzi adds use to say "long legged and easy to live with" The stuff of dreams.
    First big argument I had with my future wife in the 70s was over a guzzi and Triumph...I love guzzis

    Had one: Lemans 1.2 My father had Lemans 1.1. But with that LaFranconi exhaust.... Sweet poem for my ears! After 20 years, my balls are still singing with joy after feeling those vibrations. No bitch on this Earth can give you that!

    For a number of years, this particular bike has been my favourite Guzzi.. simply because it has all the design details that I like to see,, particularly wire spoke wheels, the Corbin seat, other aspects. All in all, a lovely example.
    And, unlike more recent Ducati offerings, will NOT cost eye-watering sums when a service is required.?
    Happy days.

      You can easily do routine service stuff yourself, but they're getting old. Things break, and new generator rotor & stator and brake disks are a hell of price - if you can still find them.

    yes soo true Ive wanted a MK 3 le mans for yrs but I get on one and the seat is hard and have to lean wayyyy over to get to the bar's.

    Very nice bike! Too bad they have to put a "Billboard" w/numbers on it for a rear plate!!! Doesn't that catch a lot of wind and slow one down???

    can you tell me how you made the starter button on the solinoid?

    • @paulj6662
      @paulj6662 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any push button switch mounted on a bracket, taking power from the main battery lead, top Solenoid, to the small spade terminal, 20mm inboard;
      usually fed by a red wire, from the relay, which is earthed/triggered, by the handlebar button originally.
      whenever the system fails just bridge these 2 with a key, screwdriver, or whatever you have.

    difference between duc's and guzzi's???
    duc's are more racer oriented,and Guzzi's are long legged and satisfying.

    romridgers,
    Thank you SO much for the reply..so unexpected from the builder.! And you speak English.. fabulous !
    How do we speak privately..? This is like face book.. all the world can view. Can we/ do you wish to exchange e-mail addresses..? That would be good. Are you German.?
    Je suis Anglo..

    My girlfriend hated my Mk3 - wasn't comfortable enough for her.
    Next girlfriend liked it, her dog loved it
    I'd start up to go to the shops and the dog would insist on coming too...

    The second Mkl, with the twin bulb rear lamp, is so much more pleasing to look at; and the Mkll was virtually the same machine. Just unnecessarily uglified by an unwanted Mandelo moron.
    Unfortunately you`ve changed the one thing that Really matters,
    the front forks/the calipers should be as Mkll behind the legs;
    for 3 good reasons;
    1, the centre of gravity of the steering, the weight is behind the axis.
    2, the fixings are in compression, will still work minus the bolts.
    3, less water on the disc in the wet, coming from the mudguard.
    and tidier hoses

    I've looked at this many times and sent it to a very SERIOUS Guzzi specialist with a view to build/replicate.. awaiting costs £?..
    If you don't need/want 200bhp.. I would suggest this is the perfect bike.. and very LOVELY. I want.. please.
