They are just assembling components to make an iPhone which are made in China. Nevertheless this is just a start. Indians should come out of the British era mindset and youngsters should become entrepreneurs instead of running behind those babu quota like IAS and IPS where max doesn't even make it to the cut off..
Not only assembling some parts of iphone is made in india.. it's called localisation or value addition 😊😊

Despite all these india never learned how to make international mobile brands like china.chinese mobile manufacturer now has international brands redimi,oppo,oneplus,hawuei vivo etc
You first get the knowledge, component and supply chain integration in your country once Indian people get familiar they could leverage those supply chains and components which is coming from Samsung and apple we will be able to built brands in those sector but yaa govt support is needed plus billion dollars behind your back as well. China did it because they have all manufacturing in their own country they control the supply chains plus the govt backing you can also do it you just need the knowledge that's it if through ISRO you can reach moon 100% you can make brands and electronics product as well don't worry first built infra and let the companies come in slowly and slowly and dominate the manufacturing space and after that you can leverage those things and make your own brands out there but yaa you need to have friendly relation with United States otherwise we will facing sanction and trade war like China and here because US want to contain China thats why they are using India for this so yaa need to take advantage faster but don't worry 2040 we would have left China behind in manufacturing capabilities if things unfold like this depends on the intensity of US China trade war

I mean without Chinese brands indian smartphone manufacturing industry will be only 1/3 of india current smartphone output. Keep on dreaming to toppling China without good domestic brands. China couldn't become the world largest manufacturing power just from building products of foreign companies. China becoming the largest auto manufacturer bcus of the rise of EV vehicle manufacturing lead by local brands. That's the lesson for you.

Don’t just be a licensed manufacturer instead focus on implementing those skills for making products of your own like China ✌️ don’t become a cheap labor market because as your GDP per capita increases these companies will fund another country with young and cheap labor force!! At most *$100 million/year,* while *Apple* will earn *billions of dollars.* This *foreign company* makes profits from *India or eliminates local businesses,* and when into *losses,* then sale for indian. If I would have PM of the country, Mane ek meeting buali hoti PM, Gogle CEO, apple CEO, samsung CEO. Aur unko manata mai agle 5 saal Mai. 50% of Apple phone, samsung phone, google phone production should be india.
We are lacking that kind of meetings, meetings between PM and CEO of the companies which we want in india.
Is it that easy? There are several other problems that need to be solved before taking on such challenges. China has stability. India has instability in the form of 'vibrant democracy' where corruption, malpractices, illogical protests and vandalism are rampant. People here are still clinging onto leaders of the past and fighting over who said what about a person that does not even exist anymore.

Semiconductor companies went to India ,in 1980s ,n due to stupidity of Indian govt policies all ran off to Malaysia ,Singapore ,etc .
The Chinese can copy machines ,products ,modify ,do reenginering g ,,reverse ,part ,component ,product ,use cheaper materials lower cost ,sell cheap mass produce n s ,etc .
India can make EVs ,but cannot make semiconductors ,n batteries .
I Dua must make cheap products ,control price n mass produce ,otherwise Chinese superiority will your business .

Making electronic chips is one of the world's most capital intensive and technology intensive businesses. The main problem is machines that make chips or how many transistors can be fitted into chips that make chips powerful but only one company which makes those machines that can fit maximum transistors in one chip that is Asml ,however few others chip manufacturers like micron have partnered with Indian companies to make chips but enough powerfull only to be used in home appliances ,cars but not in most powerfull computing devices like laptops,and mobiles.
Here comes money and brains all together;
Indian universities are not funded properly for R&D. Also Indian companies don't invest in Research and Development. We need to fund universities for innovation, research and development.
