Every one that goes to Canterbury receives a blessing. Mine was to hear and sing the Agincourt carol at evensong on my stay at Canterbury cathedral. My uncles all went a shore, on the beaches of Normandy along with the Canadians and the French and our alies in 1944. Thank you for sharing.
Yes ...we were indeed a great nation...once upon a time. I've not lived in England for over 40 years, having emigrated to Canada with my family as a teenager. I still feel the pull of my roots and miss the wonderful history such as this. Realistically however I know that England (like everywhere) has changed so much that I doubt that I would be happy there again. Thank Heavens for the Internet (though it is both a blessing and a curse lol) so that I can enjoy wonderful pieces of my old country and reminisce. Cheers from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦..

what is the instrument at the beginning?
+Liam Cunliffe It's a cromorne! Ironically (as in this song), it has a French origin. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cromorne
