I bought the specialized after this and many other videos. I'm happy with my choice but almost the same week a friend bought the trek with a mullet setup and I think it radically changed the bike character. It felt so playful and fun especially on corners, I don't know what happened but I felt faster than the specialized. But I think they're both great allrounder
Thank you for putting out DH content. I have a Demo and I agree that the tires are trash(The new ones might be better, idk yet). It would have been interesting if you tested the Demo as a full 29er also to be more fair in the comparison. Cheers!
Great review. You could swap the rear wheel next time, so the bikes have the same diameter wheels, for the next review, and have a more level playing field.
Prefer aluminum frame all day especially for dh so true tho I don't even have a dh bike anymore I love my nuckproof mega so go for local pedaling around and bike parks
Down hill bikes don't tend to have them due to the fact they are designed for going as fast as possible down hill. Lots of trail bikes have them and lots more gear ratios to help the rider get around. Raise the post for pedaling, drop the post for going down hill.
Trek looks awesome! Specialized looks less awesome, especially that rear shock placement! And it always was,and probably will be,a overpriced elitist brand! 😊
Reviews where they just use random adjectives to compliment the product aren't very useful. It's all subjective to the rider and you don't pass on any real information to the viewer. I learned next to nothing from this
Yes because the fact is Trek is better/superior than both and it doesn't matter if you're a brand hater cause that's literally nonsense hating something that didn't even hurt you.

You can put a motocross bike in neutral, shutoff the engine, beat the bicycle to the bottom, save $1000, and motor home.

It’s really not so much trek vs. specialized anymore. The battle of kings is more Santa Cruz and Specialized.
