Could somone elaborate on the ruling mentioned at 6:20 why can't I use phantasmay or any random eff monster as material for red-eyes fusion? I don't see anywhere on red-eyes fusion saying I have to use red-eyes black dragon as material for the fusion it just says I have to summon a monster that lists red-eyes black dragon in the text?
Yep, he does so it's useless against him. Also Winter Cherries is a good counter, but you have to play a Dragoon in your ED as a target, which isn't that good.
counter traps, trishula (though you'll need something to interrupt that negation), and quick effect negation like immortal phoenix gearfried do not target (the equip doesn't target neither for some weird reason I believe). Feels weird, but at least there are a couple outs besides super poly/forbidden droplet/dark ruler no more. Three tactical talents after baiting a negate as Azneyes said was a good idea too. But yeah veiler targets, 3:19 uh oh
Wow so many people are so damn scared when it comes to facing Dragun. I can see why. Odd that 3 yugitubers I watch updated dragun videos on the same day...hmm. Yeah, you can kaiju and use super poly to remove dragun but honestly? If your opponent has a dragun focused deck(like I do) then be prepared for a ton of negates and counters. Ash Blossom stopping my Red Eyes Fusion? Nah. Called by the Grave. Kaiju'd my Dragun? K. I have a back to the front set or i can bring him back next turn with Dark Magic Veil. Dragun getting attacked? No prob. I can block it with Rainbow Kuriboh or use Apprentice illusion Magician for a easy 2k atk boost. There's so many ways to get Dragun on the field and so many ways to bring him back from the grave so unless Konami bans the card(please don't) then be prepared for Dragun. Dragun is as strong as the duelist who controls it. If the user is weak and has no counters or negates, then not even Dragun can save him. Hell some noobs don't even use its burn effect nor can't read apparently since alot of them keep trying to target or destroy it with card effects but fail and rage quit. People who can't read won't win duels.
i dont think this card is a big issue, like, we already have to deal with vfd, or appolousa, and yeah, its not affected by effect... but, just play around one counter, and summon something that can pass it ^^. or if u cant cause no monster in ur deck have 4k+ atk, then go for a kaiju, or even nibiru, or a hand trap that prevent his invocation. Well, u got a lots of thing to go with. Its just one more negate, deal with it ^^

Can you not rip it out of their extra deck with Winter Cherries?
i think dragoon actually an okay card had it been made as lv12 accel synchro.
but for an lv8 fusion with generic mat, its effect just overkill

It was an ocg ruling that requires using red-eyes black dragon. Safe to assume for now that it is the same for us.

dragun is ez to deal with by itself it only has one negate, but anything more than that is a prob

Chaos emperor dragon isn't banned anymore, albeit with an errata. Theoretically it could kill dragoon as it does not destroy.
