Great video - what mileage did the B8 have to be so coked up? I only ask as I’m literally about to buy a 2014 with 40k miles and wondering when this typically comes up. And definitely paying you a visit when it does.
Are the dyno figures calculated as wheel or crank HP? It would actually make sense if it was wheel HP as you get a lot of drive train loss through the box and AWD system. Otherwise it would be tricky to calculate the actual crank HP? :)
crank, our dyno calculates measurable losses on the rundown. So its not just a fudged *lemmie add 20% today*
Been looking at the b8 for a few weeks now how often would you need to do this great video aswell
It's hard to say, if its never had it done then it would almost definitely be worthwhile!
Is there a way to prevent the carbon build up. How much is this job?
@@jerryx2000 port injection cleans off the carbon while you driving and adding a catch can on the breather pipe will reduce carbon build as well
I’m looking at buying one of these but I’d want a carbon clean doing just to be on the safe side, how much do you charge for that? Also just another question a carbon clean then getting a map done would you expect to see above the quoted 444hp? Cheers

How long would the B8 RS4 cleaning take (assuming everything goes smoothly)?
Assuming everything goes to plan, no seized bolts etc then it can be done in 1-2 days. We prefer to keep the cars for 2 days.
How much was the job for cleaning the carbon and injectors on the b8 rs4?

I bought a B8.5 RS4 with 71k miles on it a few months ago, supposedly stock and I just had it dyno'd today.
Needed to clear the cats out but once that was done it made 442.58HP on the 4th run and 485nm of torque (more than quoted torque, 1.4hp off stock).
I don't think that's too bad for a 9 year old car and it's making near enough stock power contrary to the video. I understand there will always be outliers though.
@@niklashannig9118 I never removed them but they were clogged up.
So needed to have it given a proper drive according to the guy at the garage.
Cars gone now any way. Traded in for a 2014 RS6 instead lol.
@JP_RS6 jeez just my delimma.. was gona pull the trigger on rs4 same year same miles, love the na engine but can't stop thinking rs6 is the better choice, nicer looking more power but don't sound as good imo.. Rs6 10k more for a decent one. Think I'd always regret not getting rs6 if I get the rs4
@@cjspaul9900 I swapped to the RS6 4 months after buying the RS4... Lol
So yeah I agree with you!
To add: I will say the RS6 is the better car in everyway except sound. It's the typical turbo'd V8 sound but a res delete gives it more grunt/noise.
The 4.2 N/A V8 in the RS4 revs higher so as a Seperate tone and character to it. But the sound of the RS6 is nothing to be scoffed at either!
How many miles has the B8 done before the carbon clean? Just want to know how much build up compared to the mileage on my car and if it needs to be done compared to my car. Thanks
How much for the B7?

Audi quotes 450hp but this rs4 never go above 430 wich is very poor.
I have a B8 RS4 that's been having a mildly rough idle and the occasional stall...this video is helpful...but would you recommend putting a fuel injector cleaner in the fuel before doing a deep dive like in your video? Just in case it's just the fuel injectors that need some cleaning.
If you're using premium fuel like shell V-Power, which have the cleaners in them anyway... not really. If you don't know the fuel history, or know low quality fuel has been used, you can experiment with it. Whether its a waste of money or not, only time will tell.
@@RegalAutosport Great. Thanks. I suppose it certainly can't hurt anything.
