Bet On Me is to ITZY what Feel Special is to Twice. I’ve seen other commenters say this, and I can’t help but feel that same way. Both songs mean a lot to their respective groups. The struggles, hardships, and other difficulties while still remaining grateful to have each other and to rise above the rubble together.

My thought on Bet on Me MV and the meaning behind of it
    - RYUJIN is a metaphor for all other introverts who, like the fish she sees (there are five fish in the tank, representing all five members stuck in worry and grief), feel trapped within. Nonetheless, the wind, which is Ryujin's anxiety in the latest comeback, wrecked her room and confused her about everything, but the members are still with her, making her become more confident and join them on that difficult path ahead. That, in my opinion, illustrates the idea that, despite your best efforts, you should occasionally take a chance and venture outside rather than let yourself completely fall apart. Just trust yourself and be confident; nobody is ever alone. Even fishes require outside assistance to thrive.
There is a line in the MV that represent Ryujin 's anxiety is that "There nothing in me. Not yet"
    - For YUNA: People were giving up and turning on them, and they had a massive hate train from Sneakers to Cheshire. Yuna was on the train with doubt and loneliness, and the photographs on the train wall were from the same time period. Yuna also noted in her letters to Midzy years ago that she thought everything was difficult since everything was new to her, and she was so young when it all started...she felt pushed and stressed at such a young age.
There is a line in the MV that represent Yuna's doubt is that "Feeling alone again. I want to get out of here. This labyrinth that goes deep"
    - LIA had always been the most despised person in Itzy because of her dancing and vocal, and she had exposed her anxieties and concerns in the mv (Fact: in the MV you can see a lot of paintings of the eyes looking really sad(the paintings take inspirational from Yuna's paintings in a Vlive), the eyes represent for the soul of a person but notice in the paintings in the MV the eyes is crying which mean that she feel scared and insecure about herself. She's opening the box with her insides appearing terrified and sorrowful, which, together with the words, represents her discovering and overcoming her worries.
There is a line in the MV that represent Lia's feeling insecure is that "I'm trying to kill my doubt, I won't deny my fear inside
    - CHAERYEONG. She is surrounded by her dancing "replicas," yet she also finds herself sitting down, melancholy. The depressed Chae has wounds and appears to have given up. I believe this depicts the fact that you can be incredibly brilliant at something and dazzle other people, yet you may still be nursing wounds from someone who despises you. It's presumably a tribute to how cruel people were to Chae when they first appeared. Her message is that you must embrace yourself as you are, wounds and all, and that your best friend is yourself."
    - YEJI has been running throughout the video. Because she is the group's LEADER, and as the leader, she was the first to start the run, the first to jump out of whatever is keeping them back. As shown in the video, she ran through a dark location with high winds and plunged from the cliff of uncertainty and loneliness to reunite with Itzy. (At the start of the MV, Yeji began to run because she is the leader and in the Letter to Midzy video, she also stated that she feels burdened as a leader from debut and doubted her ability as a leader, but she overcomes it to bring Itzy back together). She might have figured out what she needs to do but, no one is alone in this group, and that's why her members are always there with her, joining her. The venue was the same tunnel as in their debut "dalla dalla”. In some of Lia's lines, notably "a few stay till the end," she said that while some people were giving up and turning on them throughout Sneakers, Boys like you and Cheshire, certain Midzys chose to stay and trust in them till the end. And the last scene, in which all members race to the light at the end of the tunnel, implies that, while they still have doubts and fears about the future and what lies ahead, they can overcome them together. The final camera perspective is from behind Itzy's members, representing us "Midzy" following them into the future and asking us Midzy to have faith and stick with them till the finish. It's Itzy's way of saying thank you to Midzy for believing in them from the beginning.

if you don't like Itzy. You can stop watching them. But you cannot insult someone that has gone through lots of trouble like that. It's rude. And how do you feel when someone mocks your idol and the people you love? As if you don't have anything to do and just go and insult someone you don't like. Try to find other things to do.

@@-A-ThaiPhanFr the hate train has been so massive that I feel so bad for them, they definitely have struggled and gone through so much pain back and forth, this song to me is an embodiment of the roller coaster they’ve endured throughout their careers, but I know with this ITZY have bounced back, no hate to them, I like their music, but I truly didn’t like Cheshire era, but in no way because of that did I start hating them, instead it made me confused 🫤. But nonetheless this new track has been in my mind, soul, and heart ever since I’ve heard it for the first time, their message is real and cuts deep. The world may despise them but they keep on running no matter what, that’s also what they’re stating here in their song as well. So Props to ITZY for this banger, I loved it very much because it touches my heart ❤️ so much inside. I feel their pain when I see the mv especially when it’s Chaeryeong the emotions build inside me so much, her lying and sitting down on the floor, with the scratch on her cheek says so much shit they had to put up and deal with, that it has traumatized them.

@@jasoncoreas5728 Thank you for responding. It's fantastic. I believe Itzy has faced many difficulties and obstacles, thus this song is a gift to Itzy and Midzy. Being a Midzy from the beginning, I instantly knew that this would be one of their most precious, gorgeous and beautiful songs.

Ryujin and Yuna’s vocals in the start. Lia’s blonde hair. Ryujin and Yuna’s rap verse. Lia’s, Chaeryeong’s and Yeji’s vocals and the lyrics made me so emotional because I really feel the message of the song! THIS IS TRULY MASTERPIECE!!!!!

I really vibe with this song. The girl have spoken up about not believing in themselves as individuals before and this video shows what they used to feel. It also shows they can get out of these negative feelings by themselves and with each other.

BET ON ME: The likes to views ratio are soooo high! Yes this is the most loved Itzy song by Midzy!
It’s them telling us to trust them,
(The checkmate/sneakers era won’t happens again, they won’t “fool” and change the concept anymore, they will actually give us better songs!), kill our doubts, bet on them, so both of Itzy and Midzy will fly!!!
Bet on Me was for Midzy,
None of my business probably will be for non-midzy,
Then CAKE will be for the whole world!

ITZY is a 4th generation group, not a third-generation group. But not only did people dislike their songs, but they were really mean about it, especially I fans because Sneakers did good in Korea. Also, Notice Yeji was the only one running continuously in the MV, unlike the others as well? As the leader, she kept going forward no matter what. That's also the tunnel from Dalla, Dalla, and they joined Yeji in the order that they joined the group.

    • @incheonguy
      @incheonguy 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

That is not the tunnel from dalla dalla. Don't just repeat stuff you see on social media. That is a brand new tunnel that connects the different parts of Seoul, underground, to avoid the surface roads and traffic. The dalla dalla tunnel was outside of Seoul about 1hr away and it goes through a mountain, not underground.
They did NOT Join YEJI in the order the joined the group as all the members have said they were told simultaneously that they were going to debut together. All called into the office and told together, with the exception of Yuna who was still at school at the time, Yuna was in middle school in 2018 and attending in her hometown. She was not at JYPE every day. Nor had her parents been contacted and offered her contract. They had selected her but had not finalized her contract or notified her. So you have some incorrect ideas about what is in this MV. I am sorry. Factually you got it wrong.

I've been waiting for a comeback from ITZY they were one of my favorite 4th gen groups along side aespa (sorry Ace 🤷🏽‍♂️). I love how some, if not half, of the K-Pop songs that's put out has a deeper meaning to it. I feel like if it wasn't for SNSD's "Into The New World" I believe it wouldn't have been possible (please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm actually still getting my feet wet in K-Pop). Overall JYP artists never disappoint in vocals, and all of the girls brought it. Thanks for all of your reactions and your continued reactions down the line!

They had smash hit last year with Sneakers. Best charting song they released since Dalla Dalla and ICY. Both albums last year sold over 1 million. Checkmate in 6 weeks. and Cheshire in 4 weeks. The only girl group that outsold ITZY last year was BP. Based on your comments it seems you guys believe what toxic fans have posted as facts. That's truly sad.

“Hey world, I hope you’re nice to me
But if you’re not, gotta still be real to me.”
For someone who has read to me as a “good vibes only” kind of person, you often come across abrasive in your defenses. Even without the yin-to-your-yang Itzy comments section character Fabrice around to antagonize you anymore, it feels like you’re still looking for a fight. Your original comment would’ve still gotten its point across quite strongly without that last “that’s truly sad” jab at the end.
I don’t believe that a person needs to always try to make friends with everyone they meet, but I do think it’s important for success and sanity to try to not make “enemies.” It’s totally possible to counter someone without taking an extra step to try to “defeat” them, which can just lead to unnecessary escalation. No, “being objectively right” doesn’t always win arguments, but why agitate further trouble by stirring the pot with pithy comments?

I'm torn because I like them, and I like the message of the song, and the MV. But the music is... I'm not sure I'd play it on purpose. It does work as an intro to a project, but I'm not even sure if it works as a b-side. It's the kind of thing that would probably work as a VCR in a concert tho.
