I love that you did this! I have been thinking of doing it too but I paid so much for it before I knew how much use it would not get. It has been sitting, covered with a blanket for protection, since it’s so white! It is still brand new but I was going to get rid of it for a hanging chair. I’m hoping to get some furniture pieces off my floor. I already have a queen and a full sized bed in my room🤨

We loved it, and they actually last a lot longer outside than you would expect. Inside they last just about forever.

yo- I did this. it's awesome. everyone loves it. the only thing is after it's been up a month the front ropes started to stretch and sit down lower than I intended. so If anyone else does this, I'd recommend sitting it higher to make up the stretching difference.

What kind of rope did you use? I have never had any issue with stretching with natural fiber ropes like sisal, but I can see how it would happen with some of the different rope options. I am happy to hear that you love it as much as we do, they are super comfortable =)

Thank you so much You have no idea how many "blue prints" I've drawn out to make this work. My son which is adhd (I don't believe in modern medicine so he is always full of energy) anyway the base (made of metal broke while Elijah was "just sitting in it" 🤭) now I want to put it outside and make a swing where he can be as wild as he wants with safety this was very very helpful 😀 thank you so much ✌

Omg, we are shirt buddies!! Anyways, great video and thank you. I now need to figure out how and if my ceiling can take the load.

No way, you still have a surviving SQUEE shirt? They have to be pretty rare at this point, mine has to be what, more than 20 years old now? As for your ceiling, as long as you use decently strong screws holding a hanger into a ceiling joist, it will likely hold the weight =)

I have never tried it with the metal ones, but it might still work? Although you can often find the wood ones for cheap on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace as well.

I believe we found it used for $20 or $30, but I can't remember exactly.
