Faramarz was stuck in traffic back in 1972 or 73 on a rainy night and the sound and rhythm of the windshield wipers inspired him to write this song, the song is a poetic story of one lover telling the other one what will happen if he/she leaves him/her .
in 2023 a French group called TALLISKER did a French version called Libre .Faramarz was very happy and impressed and posted about it on his social media .

I don't want to generalize or misinterpreted this song, but;
There's a tendency among singers that fled Iran after the revolution, where they shifted some of their lyrics to reflect that.
In many examples of love songs, you'd see that there is a reciever of lyrics, or a target for what's being said. That reciever or target is in many instances Iran, but generally portrayed as a lost lover, without making direct references to that lover being Iran, in order to stay true to the concept of a love song.
