We have a 2019 6M, just before this latest update with the option of command arm and such, it’s still a lovely machine. Really like it. Give this a go on everything you can, put it through it’s paces, I think you’d be impressed with the engine on the feeder wagon. We have a larger 6R with a 663 loader, which we find wonderfully easy to take off the tractor. Can have it on and off within about a minute if you need too. I’d recommend you give taking this one off and on a go while you can. Enjoy it
That looks like a savage machine Gerry, i look forward to seeing it get to work. That turning circle and loader speed are unbeatable. great for small stockmans yard.
Fantastic speed on the loader, will be interesting to see the speed when the bucket is full, and a great turning circle too.
We had a 120M out on demo before buying the 130M. 120 has the snooped bonnet to which is a great help. The 130 doesn't but we don't have a loader on so isn't a worry! Lovely machine!

Looks great, have a 6115r and the biggest problems are poor turning circle and bonnet too big, so at least that's sorted

Was never an M series fan but have to say Deere have really upped the spec level in the new M’s. Looking forward to seeing more videos of it!
Yes M series are quite different from what they used to be.
What is the orange lever mounted on the right hand side panel of the dash? No panic with the answer Gerry just getting use to her 😉

I really fancied a 6120m ,but a low houred MF 5713sl that i knew the history came up for sale so i bought that instead, that JD looks to have half the turning circle of it !!
I like those little m series….smashing tractor. I’d love one with loader for working at hay and silage.
This could be a long shot ask, by why not try out the tractor on the diet feeder? It’ll be very interesting to see how well she does for low down PTO work and how manoeuvrable she is around the yard

Very similar Gerry to the 5125R with 543R loader I bought this year, gear box is different, 4 ranges and 8 powershifts. Great turning circle. Very laid back tractor to use, never seems under stress, no ad-blu, just DPF. Would be very curious to see how you get on with this, how it fits into your system.

The reason for the shuttle being different is so that you can do it on the loader joystick

It's a mighty machine gerry but I,ll keep my old 2850 with a grays loader and the ten of thousand pound,s I would need to change to it .... maybe just up grade the wheel Barrow instead oh and new grape...... some serious plant there Gerry....🤣🤣🤣

Correct me if I’m wrong but they seem to be a similar tractor to the 6330/6430 premiums just newer and better speced
Yes very similar to a 30 series in some ways but as you say more spec and extras.... M series are not bog standard like they were in the past
gerry6420 you forgot to mention hp boost on PTO and +12km/hr. I just got one of these but the 6120, boosts to 140hp. Got it well spec’d with command arm and electric SCVs, front linkage and PTO, it’s runs two 3 meter mowers easily. Would definitely recommend if you want a good all round utility tractor

There’s 2 things I’d like to know about the new m series 1 is can it lift any decent weight silage bale for example without a weight block hanging off the back of it. Every picture and video I’ve seen of them they always seem to have a weight block hanging off them. 2nd is are they decent on low down power, has the engine got good hang on ability the first of the r’s and m’s weren’t great
It depends on the loader. If you put a 623 on it you need a weight on the back or wheel weights because it's so far forward. If you put a 603 on it you won't need the weight but you will loose reach.
On your power question the newer engines have less low down torque. The power band is above 1200rpm. I think its an emissions thing
@@spudz86 so the claas Arion 400 range is ahead of them for loader work so, we have a 410 here can stack bales 4 high on end with no weight on the back. Reason I was asking is because we pull the bale trailer with the loader tractor drawing them in. John Deere are a good solid looking tractor for loader work but for us it would be like taking a step back to the case cx90 we used to have which was nowhere near heavy enough on the back end for loader work.
@@jimconnolly3572 its the law of the lever if you make the tractor short and more maneuverable with a weight hanging out over the front axle no matter what tractor you have itll be unsteady without a counter weight.
If you need the reach without a weight then you need a 6130m because its that bit longer.
I wouldn't say the claas is a better loader tractor because of this. Deere have the solid chassis and powerquad transmission so it can take the abuse i dont know if class will take it the same after 10,000 hours
@@spudz86 if all deere have going for them is the chassis and the gearbox I think they are in trouble. The question people need to ask themselves when buying tractors is are they buying the 1 that can do the jobs they need it to do or are they staying loyal to a brand. We could have stayed running red tractors but at the end of the day the claas can do the job we need it to do where the case couldn’t and in my opinion still cant
What sort of money for this setup? Are you looking at €60k or €70 or €75+ ??.

Absolute little minter for sure Gerry but not for ye I suspect with all that is going on now ref Brexit etc...ideal for the stockman/woman upgrading if they have to without question. Nice to see Deere giving a greater spec on the lesser regarded models.!!!

Drop the weight off the back and you will see it's TRUE colours on the loader, great tractor but they made them lighter than old 2018 M model by over a ton,

The cab on her is still the same as the 6420 they just redsigned the plastics to be fair jerry at the price ur 3650 is just as good to farm with but id buy a m series b4 the r series over priced
M Series used to be known as Misery Series in these parts but they've improved them greatly

Brilliant tractor but way too expensive for a loader tractor in my opinion
Not only a loader tractor, could draw slurry, you could load a bale trailer and pull it behind you rather than needing 2 drivers, could mow silage with it and many more jobs

@@killianmurphy8527 not a lot a 110hp tractor cant do tbh, I can see what you mean about buying a bigger tractor for a little more money but pretty much the only reason you would go for one of these smaller tractors is you need it to be compact for cleaning out sheds and putting in bales and whatever else but also be able to do a bit of field work with it if needed
@@jamesdavis4087 that is true, they take some abuse, but if they were greased it would make an awful difference, most tractors are used like telehandlers and the front axles especially take the most abuse

Really needs better Tyres away to narrow for a new tractor .
Can be ordered on what ever tyres you want. This is a yard tractor so wide tyres aren’t needed.
Great video 👍 don't like the idea of having weight on the back if you were say pulling bale's on trailer in field you'd need the weight and trailer on I suppose you can get rear wheel weights?? Bonnet looks a little copied from mf

Was told by a man that bought the old 6110m with no loader he gave 91k include vat he priced a MF 5712 was quoted 95k including the vat

Just replaced a 6430 with one of these but the 6120M boosts to 140hp on PTO, no regrets at all far superior all round
Way to many electrics to give trouble , it’s a cheap looking pile of plastic
A cynical point of view,it's a John deere and not cheap so it's quality built
