I agree! Our dog is an Eng/AM which is 1/2 English Bulldog and 1/2 American Bulldog. The only thing she seems to have inherited from the English Bulldog is height. She is so loving, non-aggressive, very intelligent and very easy to train. She wants to please and she is beautiful. She is my grandson's ESA, he has Aspergers. I would like to see this breed more. When I walk her, she is so striking people compliment her all the time and amazed at her muscular body and strength.
I've got a Catahoula bulldog. I've owned American Bulldogs and pitbulls and the pups i had of both breeds were great dogs but someone gave me a Catahoula bulldog years ago and i fell in love with the breed. I know they're a cross breed but they've been around for a hundred years or better. I finally got myself another Catahoula Bulldog and he's awesome. Like owning a super intelligent bulldozer lol. He can learn how to do anything just by watching you like how to open the doors and such lol.

But when protecting home was nesscery they step up most of all they love kids and most people.

To me the Spanish Alano (Spanish Bull dog) looks like it has a good,healthy,functional body structure. A bull dog that can move and breath is what I think it looks like. Kinda like what I think the Standard/Scott type Bull Dog should look like. I listened to a video Dogumentary TV done with somebody on them, and it sounded interesting to me.
I have a dorset old tyme bulldog and its my favourite bulldog breed he wasnt cheap £2500 but he was worth every penny. He is 45 kg of muscle but hes gentle with it .im gutted i had him neutered hed be a great stud dog .
That does not sound like my bull dog at all! She is so stubborn! And it takes a long time before she will get a long with a new people. We actually have to put her in a cage so she does not bite anyone. And they are not the loving with other people! She's loving with us but not strangers not at all!
