Another thing that I would like to add is that, even though songs like Gumaan, Asli hai, Afsnay helped make them mainstream, but the YS that built up their hardcore following was through their underground journey, especially their beef with LUG, TYs lethal disses, then TAs solo EP 'Mein". YS isn't an overnight phenomenon. They have a solid journey to show.
Wow! Wasn't expecting this reaction. Amazing reaction! What i feel is like anjum is the face of YS while Yunus is the backbone. No doubt Anjum is talkative one. If you go through their bios on insta, you will get to know what I am trying to say :p
What i love about YS is that they do it in urdu...which is such a deep beautiful language...and they dont have to rely on english and cuss words to sell their songs....there is meaning!
Also the whole "WHY" thing was a bit of YS fault too, but of course Anjum didn't do it for copying.There are two things: if you consider Anjum's lyrics in every soft song and even in the WHY's first verse, they are extremely deep and THAT PROVES Anjum doesn't need to quote Jaun always and him quoting his lines were more of tribute than copying(Yes in many other songs YS have quoted shayars but have given credit) Even here Anjum openly admits to Jaun's influence (And the BTS had been shot months before WHY) BUT, YS didn't give credit when the video was uploaded ,that's why the uproar happened. But even for every normal songs usually they always upload lyrics it two-three days later. And they did it this time too. But you have to do it when you upload when you quote other artists. It didn't happen because probably YS have this ritual of going offline from every social media platform once their big song releases.

Burger e Karachi is absolutely a very funny song, and 10 years later it's funny unintentionally, because it's a very cheaply made video and the lyrics are apparently a diss to "Burgers" Meaning high class boys. Be ready for actual "Young" Stunners because they were very very young. It can even be offensive because Young Stunners in their teen years (They have been active since 2011-12) were trying to be like Western rappers with no understanding what it meant so you will hear loads of abuses and even N word. However Anjum was a political rapper too, his " Pakistani Complex", "Ghalib", " fire in the hole" are really good political raps but of course with literally noob level mixing.

But he did not do full justice to Pakistan music scene and phenomenon .. you can’t not mention a famous PTV program that produced so many artist down the road .. and how can a Pakistani not thank and mention Alamgir and Shehki, and the queeen Nazia Hassan. And many more. Those were my college days. And after that Vital Sign dil dil pakistan in 1985 changed everything. Thus guy is a kid. He can’t remember anything before 2000. Pakustan pop and rock and even touch of hip hop has roots that go back to 70s. And original music never stopped in Pakistan. That is our strength along with the deep background in poetry. Just go back and see the level of poets Pakistan had from 1947 till 2000.. that defined Pakistani music and still does.
If you really wanna see kay How Talha Anjum actually represents karachi people, you must listen to *Karachi Lingo* and yess Talha younus likes and appreciates you much Jyoti ✌️

Anjum is a full motivational speaker and very confident. They have a more than an hour video on TH-cam where Anjum is talking

Bhai who didn’t use poets? Many singers and writers quote or use lines from famous Urdu poets. May be you’re new to Urdu songs because its a norm.
