You guys did a gr8 job, I'm here because I'd really like to try this myself instead of paying someone to do it, thank you for this video, new sub here😊
I'm about ready to install vinyl plank flooring in my laundry room and am so glad I found this video. You guys did a fantastic job, not just of the installation, but with your video as well. The video is very well done to help a newbie tackle this DIY job. Thank you!!👍 👍 👍
Love this so much! Have been debating trying to install LVP myself and your video gave me the confidence to try it. Great job! And thank you for your honesty and tips.
Great, this is the second video of yours that is going to prompt me to take on another project! LOL! Ironically, I'm currently working on a laundry room very similar to yours, and even chose a similar wall color ... and NOW I'll be updating the floor too! :-) Yours looks great!
You did an amazing job. I'm going to try to DYI my laundry room myself. This video helps to give me an idea what I'm getting into. The shape of my laundry room looks just like yours. Wish me luck. 🤞 I'm not a DYI-er.
It is ok, but it might be overkill. It is a floating floor that can easily be removed. It's all of the cutting that will make it "overkill" for renters. Hope this helps. 😀
Was the underlayment not needed because you were placing over vinyl or because of the planks you were using? Going to do my kitchen and laundry closet and it has vinyl flooring already on top of a concrete subfloor. Gets cold so wanted to know if it would hurt anything if I did and underlay?
Hi! Underlayment was not used because of the existing tile. You can use underlayment when recommended by the brand of planks you choose. Just remember that it will also increase the thickness of your floor which could cause your planks not to fit under door jams.
😀Hey Guys! We just posted How to Install Vinyl Plank Flooring DIY - Carpet to Planks in 7 Steps th-cam.com/video/FmhsQ-dpn00/w-d-xo.html Take a look👀.
The applause sound when cutting the plank finally got split correctly 🤣🤣🤣👌🏾
Thanks, Mitch!
One of the best how-to videos I've seen in a while
Thank you!!!
After watching I feel way more comfortable laying flooring with out glue or nail - definitely renter friendly

Yes I would! But I’m soooo afraid to try 😬🤣
You could try it in a small area like a laundry room or powder room. 😀 Thanks for your comment!
I think that I would but I am scared to try it
We understand, Louise... the DIY process may be a little hard, but your results will make it all worth it! 😀
Is this ok for renters

Can you put it down over tile floors?
Some people have shown installing it over tile, but not sure how it felt walking over it.

Do you prefer these planks or peel and stick? Thank you
It really depends on the floor situation. We like planks for bigger rooms and peel and stick for a quick DIY in smaller rooms.
Good Job ! Turned out great .
