Turned 40 this July and 3rd week of August my left eye vision suddenly closed up on me while driving down a familiar street. Diagnosed as NAION little over a week ago. Was hard to hear the "untreatable but shouldn't get any worse" prognosis. So it's great to know NAION is a focus and being actively worked on at such an accomplished and highly ranked Ophthalmology Institute.
Im 40 and my event happened when I was 39. 80% vision loss in my left eye.
