Please get the distinction here. The two are totally different. The DV lottery system is such that they want to increase their population and for them to be fair to everyone, they ask applicants to submit their details and they are picked at random giving everyone equal chance of winning without paying a penny. Is free of charge. Whereas our local lottery system is by paying and ones you get the winning numbers you will be paid the corresponding amount of money. Therefore the DV lottery is a blessing whiles our local lottery will lead you into sin because you using small amount of money for large amount. Thank you 🙏

In the US, the termed lottery is used interchangeably. Unlike Ghana where lottery is an exchange of money, US lottery is different. Eg: here, anytime a pool is made to pick a winner for an event, it is termed as lottery. In their school system, when they decide to pick certain number of students for a particular magnet program, it is termed as lottery. The two are different. In the America diversity program, there is no exchange of money. Just fill the form and submit it. Hope I have made myself clear.
