- This video has been requested so many times by so many viewers but I hesitated to make it because I do not have what people would expect from an experienced and lifelong jewelry maker. Although I have a rather large home and a designated home office, I organize my beads in 2 closets and I do not have an abundance of supplies. My storage boxes are actually refrigerator/kitchen boxes with hinged lids and I do not hang beads out in the open, but rather keep them organized in plastic bags by color.

I forgot to mention the refrigerator bins . I absolutely love those and I need to find some for myself.
Thank you so much! I started using them years ago for the metal findings and it worked so well that I added more and … I still pick them up when I see them in case I want to create a new bin of something 💕💕💕lol

I sperate my bead caps by size not so much metal....I also have bins of semis...I have a draw cart filled with wire type by drawer....only I never put things away...I felt relief seeing your put away. thank you for your share.....some good housekeeping hints.
I like your organization! I also use the small bags to put items in. I live in a very small space but you gave me ideas to help me organize. What a great video Joee! I am always looking for a more organized way of storing my stash of beads and findings. It looked very logical the way you have it. I just told my husband that I needed to clear out some items in my storage room so I can get more beading items in there. And Bella is so adorable! Oh, Joee. I could feel your anxiety and worry about that you think people will be disappointed. I absolutely love your storage. Don't ever feel bad for storing your things the way that works for you. They are your things, your house, your beading room and that's all that anyone should have to understand. It would make it so easy to find what you need, help inspire new creations, and everything has a home. I think that's amazing. I would be in heaven searching through all of your drawers. I think more things helps inspire more creations. Your house (from what we can see) if extremely clean, beautiful and well organized. You should feel so proud. Joee, I think your system is great! Everyone should do what works for them! Organizing beads by color, different colors of metals, and different little creatures and leaves also makes sense. I sort of started making jewelry several years ago and didn't get very far. I didn't really know what I was doing, or how I needed to design my jewelry. I just recently started again. I thought I better do some jewelry or get rid of everything. I starting watching Wendy this past Summer. Tragically we lost her. I enjoy your videos and some others. I have learned so much! I'm still working on my organization of everything. Organizing by color makes a lot of sense. Thank you so much for showing us your type of organization! ❤
Joee I have a organization of my beads and other supplies ppl would probably gasp! I bead out of my bedroom. I actually create and design right off my bed! That's the truth. I have 5 carts that I bought from Michaels that I store a lot of my beads and findings and such with. I have bins that I store a lot of my finished projects in. I don't have a bead room lol ! If you ever do bins by color you will be addicted to organizing… that’s what happened to me and now I’m much more productive and much more tidy 💕💕💕

I've only been making jewelry for a few months, but in that time my stash has grown A LOT. I've tried organizing it a few times but it keeps getting away from me. So, I'm going to repurpose the large closet in my home office as my jewelry headquarters. Your video has given me ideas about how to go about that. And I really appreciate the detail that you went into when showing us how you use the containers to keep items together. So, it was very motivational for me to see this. I'm setting aside Saturday to get the space cleaned out and prepped and once that's done I can begin putting stuff away. Organization is an ongoing issue for so many of us. 😊@@JoeesJewelry

Could not hit thumbs up fast enough. It makes sense the way you store your focal beads by type and style rather than strictly by color. I wish I had more closet space. My little house was built in 1895 before built in closets were a thing. I just use a cabinet and some drawers. I store my seed beads in a lipstick holder just like you. Love that tower/cart. Looks like it stores a lot without taking up much floor space. My office/bead room is my living room so I like to be able to pack things away as well. I'm going to try putting all my flower beads together and heart beads and so on. Then just keep my regular beads separated by color. The way you do it makes more sense to me. Joe’e! Are you sure we are not sisters! Lol! Holy cow! Ok, so the way you store your beads, Is 97% the way I store mine! The only difference was my seed beads were in the individual clear glass jars with labels. You my friend are the only one, a side from me who sorts beads like me, like you! No! Like me! Lol wow! just amazing! I sort too by lamp work, by Hearts, animals, sea creatures, Swarovski crystals, I even have all the drops in one bin, all Czech glass flowers in a bin, Heishi beads in a bin, All metals separated via color, I have my bead caps in a clear container that has multiple sections , I sorted by color, size and labelled. My gemstones are separated by color, I have the multi draw rolling cart from Michaels with the 10 colored draws. The types of beads are sorted as well. Makes everything easy to find, even all Brio’s are in their own bin! I have all my beading wire from soft flex in there own bin, all beading wire from Beadalon German style wire, in there bin via color, gauge, nylon cord, by color, mm size in their bin. The list goes on ! Spacers again in mult container with latch sorted by color, size, labelled. So ! my friend I was pleasantly surprised that we too still have a lot in common. Love your designing, your Jewelry is beautiful you are such a delight to watch. I hope your son is ok! Continued prayers for you and your son! 💕🙏

Hi Sandie! People are more productive when they have a system that works for them and it doesn’t really matter what it looks like… I know people who work better with a messy area and everything out where they can see it and that’s ok too💕💕💕

I get them at TJMaxx, Marshall’s and Home Goods in the kitchen storage aisle. The lids are attached and hinged so they are wonderful 💕💕💕
