As a middle aged Brit, I'm genuinely shocked that this list didn't include, or even put first, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley.
Arguably the most evil and cruel serial killers we've had here. They're all evil and cruel, but the targeting and attitudes even after being caught and sentenced make them that much worse.
One victim not found and they refused to ever tell authorities any information about where he was buried, refusal to let the family lay him to rest.
Thats the mark of the worst kind of killer in my mind.
They would be in the top 3, 1 person commiting these crimes is rare, a couple is even rarer
Yes I was surprised they are not on the list considering it was all children!
I’ve seen a few of these videos and they never include Brady and Hindley. I don’t know why. Maybe as it’s so awful because it’s kids
@@helenroberts1107 that's very possible, I hadn't considered that. I wonder if future lists like this will include Letby? She's potentially the very worst of all time in the world.
My generation grew up with regular reminders, with Brady and Hindley regularly in the news and documentaries. Brady was always playing to the media, claiming that he could help recover more bodies. Then the fuss over Lord Longford trying to get Hindley released on parole, and her affair with a prison officer. It all seemed to go quiet in the MSM after she died in 2002. Very odd.
Broadmoor is way worse than Prison
Don't forget Rampton and Ashworth Special Hospitals
If anyone fakes mental illness it serves them right ending up there.
@@dinger40 And all NHS...unbelievable really
A family member of mine has been in broadmoor for many years he has a full life sentence he has too bodies too his name he’s my mums cousin
Are ypu speaking from experience 😮
Fred West still chills me to this day. My aunty worked in a local cafe and Fred was a regular. He once offered her a lift in his car after my uncle looked like a no show. She declined and he was insisting, luckily my uncle showed up. Can't imagine how that could have ended if she had of said yes.
Broadmoor isnt any old mental institution, once your in, your never getting out, its a maximum security mental hospital. Even the hospital staff dont use their real identities inside.
False....people have actually been released from there, normally to other units.....but life is not always life, as they are actually given no sentences once there
I don’t know who told you that as they are so wrong. I know lots that have been in there and I know lots of people that work there as I live near it
@@blue21girl59 Then I stand corrected, thank you
As others have said, very surprising that the Moors Murderers Ian Brady and Myra Hindley were not included. All serial killers are evil imo, but Brady and Hindley were a special kind of evil. Anyone who targets children, as this pair did, is just despicable. Worse still is that one victim's body has never been found, and his mother went to her grave without being able to lay her son to rest. They also made a tape of them torturing one of their victims, a little girl, who could be heard begging to be able to go home. The poor mother had to listen to that terrible tape to identify her daughter's voice, and even the hardened police detectives who had to listen to it were very badly affected. Probably the two most hated people in the UK. Just pure evil, both of them.
What about Ian Brady & Myra Hindley? These were two of the most evil serial killers that should be on this list. Can't believe they're not on!
As someone who's spent time in jail AND a mental hospital here in Britain, I was far far better looked after in the nick than I was in the "hospital"
There's a film about Christie, it's called 10 Rillington Place. It's very good, Christie is played by Richard Attenborough.
My Nanna and her friend met the Yorkshire Ripper, it was in a pub in Halifax back in the day. He was trying to convince them to go with him to party but they stayed at the pub. My Nanna said he was extremely charming and handsome, they almost went with him. Absolutely shocking to realise my Nanna and her friend could’ve been a victim of his.
Same happend to a friend of my mom's she met him in some pub
My Grandfather apparently visited Rillington Place when the Christies were in residence, He was re-training as a plumber just after war, working for the council checking for gas leaks and upgrading the old systems. He said he never met John Christie but he recons he met his wife. Apart from the house being servilely run down he never saw anything out of the ordinary. But the horrors were unearthed just a few years later..
Very odd seeing my uncle is in this video! (No, he's not one of the killers, being interviewed).
I also live close to where Shipman worked and we know people who lost family to him, along with others who were investigated but never confirmed
There are a couple of great dramas of a few of these. 10 Rilington Place about Christie with Tim Roth playing the killer is great but there is an older film as well of he same name with the great Richard Attenburough playing him. There was a Television drama about Dennis Neilson starring David Tennant and it chilled me how he looked like him.
10 Rillington Place starring Richard Attenborough was a particularly scary film.
you seriously need to watch the neilson documentary "des" its brilliant, and david tennena really looks like him
Easily in my top ten UK TV programmes along side chernobyl.
There’s a farm near me where the body of a young girl was found buried in North Yorkshire. When the farmer who owned the farm chatted to the police he happened to mention a spade that had randomly turned up on his land about a decade earlier upon finding the tool the farmer began using it- turns out it was the spade used to bury the body and the murderer had left it behind during his hasty departure.
Poor young lady rest in peace ❤
Somehow during my life I`ve managed to meet four people who went on to commit murder, including one serial killer. There are quite a few documentary TH-cam videos about the serial killer and not too long ago he was listed as number one in an American TH-cam video called "The top ten serial killers you`ve never heard of". Obviously I had heard of him, his name is Colin Ireland nicknamed the Gay Slayer. He died in prison of natural causes whilst serving a life sentence.
for me the worst is Amelia Elizabeth Hobley (1836 - 10 June 1896), popularly dubbed the Ogress of Reading, was an English serial killer who murdered infants in her care over a thirty-year period during the Victorian era upto 400 babies
One name that needs to be added is Lucy Letby. She is just as bad as anyone on this list!
And the police are now investigating more baby deaths that may be linked to her
one of the most evil fuckers to breathe our air! She deserves to rot in prison
@@paultaylor9498is that the new nurse? I done my best to not take an interest in the case.
She definitely needs adding to this list she’s the lowest of the low
It turns out that she's appealing against all her convictions. It was reported 5 days ago.
Fred and Rose West absolute bastards, killed thdir own kids as well as women they picked up, the abuse their victims went through was unbelievable. Their house was pulled down, it was a black hole in that neighbourhood.
Bloke I worked with used to work at HMP Durham...Rose is every bit as evil as you'd imagine. She looks like a frumpy grandma, but then she loses her temper...and he said "Her eyes go almost Black"...very scary, evil individual
@@googleisshittoss I have no trouble believing that, I'll bet that she's a master manipulator too.
I totally agree, total A$$butts! As you said they killed their kids.
Their biological daughter Heather, "ran away from home" at 16, except she didn't, she was buried in the garden. Even the other kids would joke around saying things like, "If you don't be have, you'll be buried in the garden/patio like Heather!" Not realising how true that was.
Another one of Fred West's victims was a former lodger, she was also found buried, still carrying Fred's 8month old fetus.
And then there was Charmaine, Fred's stepdaughter that was murdered by Rose while Fred was in prison. They proved the date she was killed because of her missing front teeth. Between her skull, and the school photo showing them missing, they could calculate the window that she was killed in, and they could prove it was Rose.
They think that there were possibly even more victims that Fred killed. And he was in a fairly cooperative mood with the police, pointing out where a couple of the bodies were in the field. They think that if there was more bodies, he might have told them, but when he went into court, Rose snubbed him, wouldn't look at him. It was after that that he took his own life.
Unless the bodies are eventually found by accident, and they can prove it was probably Fred, they will never know. But there are still some missing girls from both Scotland and Gloucestershire when Fred lived in both areas, that have never been found.
I live in Gloucester and I work with someone now who used to work in a video rental shop that Fred used to go to at the time. She said he used to give her the creeps, her intuition was right there.
I'm a mental health nurse in the UK. i would definitely prefer prison over Broadmoor Hospital.
Harold Shipman was caught when the daughter of on of his victims saw the new will her mother had 'written' leaving large ammounts to Shipman. The daughter saw it and immediately knew it was fake. Her mum had been a secretery for 40 years but the will had been terribly typed out, something her mum would not have done.
My dad met Dennis Nilson when he was 19. My dad and granddad had a fight and he was thrown out of the house. Dennis and another man offered my dad a place to stay, but thankfully my dad decided to just go back home and make amends. To this day, my dad doesn't know if the other man maybe helped Dennis or was another unfortunate victim.
If this video had been made in more recent times, Lucy Letby would be up there with the worst. If that's not evil, I don't know what is. But if you're going to check her out, be warned, it's as bad as it gets.
Snap. 😳😐
She didn’t kill as many I don’t think but Beverly Allit was named The Angel of Death, after killing babies in her care in 1991
I was also going to say if they didn’t include Beverley Allitt they weren’t going to include Lucy Letby
Even though Broadmore is a psychiatric hospital, it's also very prison like in terms of how it's operated & people in Broadmore have no release date.
I lived next door to a UK serial killer and serial rapist, Robert Napper. I was at home when the police raided his flat and arrested him. Its unsettling to know that such a depraved and dangerous man was living right next to you....!
The police were so blindsided by trying to get that poor Colin Stagg locked up for Rachel Nickell's murder they let Napper continue raping and murdering. Winds me up that case does!
Broadmoor is essentially a mental health prison for our 'psychologically affected' murderers - it is essentially a life sentence when sent there - they would not be expected to ever be released.
My mates gran had a well known doctor - Dr Shipman. She outlived him 😛
there was one night many moons ago, and Harold Shipman was the emergency doc. he came out to our house when my ex-husband took ill. if I wasn't the sort to pace about when stressed. I reckon he would've killed him.
Oh my, lucky gran❤
Funny thing is, she swore blind he was a nice doctor!
@@bluesmachine1006 he was though - spoke to him in detail about my ex-hubby and severe migraines and he phoned for an ambulance!!!
it wasn't until it all started coming out about his victims and the amount of deaths and I realise how lucky of an escape we had. although, my ex-hubby - I kind of wish deep down... ya know... I reckon he could've done the deed - but he would've been found out there and then. my younger self would've kicked off and he'd have been found out sooner. and part of me wishes that had happened.
David Tennant played Dennis Neilsen, he did a fabulous job. I believe the series was called "Neilsen".
Its Dennis Nilsen and the show is called DES
“Babe, wake up, JT Reacts posted a new video today!”
The Moors Murderers are among the most terrifying in UK history. I'm surprised they weren't included.
Mary Anne Cotton is a distant relative of mine. It was always a rumour in the family for generations but when we done the family tree we found it was actually true.
I started reading the book on Rose and Fred West, I got up to what they did to their daughter Heather, and I put the book down, couldn't finish it.
Same as me, I could not finish the book, its awful, they were truly evil!
There is an old film about christie called 10 rillington place(his address where they found the bodies.... it's a good film quite spooky... brilliant acting by Richard Attenborough (who plays christie) and john hurt who played the guy who christie got hanged by mistake)
Hi JT. Rose West didn't commit any murders before she met Fred.
Fred was clearly a psychopath and also had some learning difficulties. Rose is more complex. There's an argument she was a victim herself, at least initially. At the start Fred was very much the one in charge, although perhaps not so much later on.
Rose had a VERY messed up and traumatic childhood. She came from a large and very poor family. Her mother underwent electroshock therapy for depression whilst pregnant with Rose, which some think may have had an effect. Her dad was a paranoid schizophrenic and was prone to extreme violence and sexually abused Rose and her sister. Rose in turn went on to molest her younger brothers, starting when she was 13.
She was only 15 when she met Fred, he was 27. As well as entering into a sexual relationship with her, Fred also pimped her out.
It's likely she initially went along with the murders in an effort to win his approval and perhaps scared of what he might do if he tired of her, though that's speculation and nobody knows for sure as she's never talked about what happened. However she did seem to get into it too.
It seems likely that if she'd had a secure and loving childhood, not been abused and hadn't met Fred, she'd probably have turned out differently. That doesn't excuse her actions, but it makes it easier to understand how she ended up doing such vile and terriblel things.
Like many serial killers it's likely there were a number of other victims as well as the ones they were convicted of.
And she was surprisingly pretty when she was younger....it always strikes me that she chose to he with Fred, an older guy like her domineering father, they must have recognised something in each other.
I've also read that when Fred was younger he and his mother started having s**, I'm assuming abuse started before that in that household, he too was a very messed up child who grew to be a messed up adult. (Of course not every child with an abusive background will turn out the same)
She did kill Fred’s daughter without Fred, before they started killing together and most documentaries say it was before she knew he was a killer. And most say she was the mastermind in the murders.
I grew up a mile away from Broadmoor hospital, there was a siren test every Monday morning, in the 70s there were quite a few break outs. I now live not far from Fred West's home town😂
Much Marcle?
@@ianwalker5842 yup
Dude, in the time of the cold war, there was this SUPER interesting spy story of the 'cambridge five' and there are some super interesting vids on it
You should watch the ITV drama Des, David Tennant (of Doctor Who and Omens fame) plays Dennis Nielsen brilliantly. Class acting.
Sutcliffe was interviewed 8/9 times by police but didn't have the accent of a confession tape posted in to the police, the recirding was played at football games and on a special phone line to see if anyone recognised the voice.
One officer was so convinced it was Sutcliffe he went to a senior officer and was told if he brought his name up again he'd be reduced to giving out parking tickets, Sutcliffe was caught by luck.
It wasn't until 2006 they caught the guy who sent the tape, he got 8 years in prison for perverting the course of justice.
You should try to find a video about Fred and Rose West, there's so much to their story.
And The Yorkshire Ripper (Peter Sutcliffe), he was interviewed several times over the years by police and let go every time.....he was caught by a fluke, a faulty headlight he was pulled over by police for.
I have worked in Broadmoor it is far worse than any prison.
These serial killers are terrifying sometimes it’s the ordinariness of these people that shocks you their actions another story altogether
JT if you can track it down online you should watch the 1971 movie '10 Rillington Place', with Richard Attenborough and John Hurt.
I still can't quite understand that they can say some serial killers have mental health issues and some are tried as sane. Surely ANYONE who kills for fun or thrills cannot be the full ticket!
Personality disorders such as psychopathy are VERY different to mental disorders like schizophrenia which can cause psychosis and make the suffer hallucinate or suffer from delusions or become paranoid.
Mental health issues are something different again and include stuff like depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self harm, suicidal thoughts, etc.
Mental health issues aren't going to make someone a serial killer, although if stressed it might make them more prone to snap, especially if they're abused in some way such as a wife suffering from domestic abuse.
What's a psychopath?
CAT scans on the brains of psychopaths show little activity in their frontal lobe. That's the part of the brain thought to govern things like empathy and conscience. If you think of empathy as a sixth sense psychopaths lack that sense.
basically a psychopath is the ultimate in selfishness. The only care about themselves . They will do whatever they think they think they can get away with in order to get what they want. They view other people as:
1) Those useful to them.e.g those with money and power or can help them get what they want. If at any time that person is no longer of use or worse becomes a possible liability/danger to them then they'll discard them.
2) Those they can use. e.g for money, sex, etc.
3) Those they can safely ignore.
4) Those who are a barrier to them getting what they want or a possible threat e.g. the authorities, a rival, relatives, friends, etc of someone they want to exploit, etc.
Are all serial killers psychopaths? Pretty much.
Are all psychopaths serial killers. No. They vast majority aren't. Most serial killers are psychopaths who have undergone some kind of childhood trauma e.g. bereavement, especially a parent/guardian, parents divorcing, abuse whether, physical, emotional or sexual.
Fun fact: It's thought that 1% of the population are psychopaths. They tend to be attracted to positions of power e.g. politicians, senior police, lawyers, media figures and CEOS.
A number of current and recent world leaders show a significant number of psychopathic personality traits. e.g. Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Putin, Kim Jong Un, Bolsonairo of Brazil, Erdogan of Turkey, Modi of India, Orban of Hungary, etc. And a staggering 25 % of CEOs are thought to be psychopaths.
Once you understand that it suddenly makes sense why big corporations and politicians act as they do and the world is so fucked up. Until we starting testing out leaders for serious personality disorders e.g by CAT scan, it will remain so.
My dad apparently went out for a meal with Harold Shipman a few months before he was caught. My dad even said he seemed normal. He new Shipman’s sister quite well and she was really nice
When hanging someone it's the drop and weight of your body that breaks your neck. By not having sufficient length in the rope, then there's not enough force to break the neck and you'll slowly suffocate by the weight of your body.
2nd one....I moved to Ipswich in Dec 2006 to live with my now wife. I worked in London at the time, and when these murders were taking place, my colleagues were asking if I were the one doing them as they only started when I moved there. Steve Wright only targeted sex workers, and one day my mum rang my wife to ask if she was okay. God only knows what my mum thought my wife's occupations was! (Dental Nurse btw)
wasn't he an ex copper?
Broadmoor is classed as a hospital but it’s a horrible place, and unlike prison where there is usually a determinate sentence very few killers leave.
I knew this woman that lived nextdoor to my mum.She murdered one child she was only 5 and the other girl was 7 she survived she battered them with a hammer. She got put in a mental hospital and is now out with a new identity.Makes me sick as she never went to jail. ✌️ From Scotland
I lived close to a serial killer - and wouldn't be surprised if | took his Taxi - but I always went with a friend - - Christopher Halliwell. Nasty piece of work. He has definitley took more poor girls lives
I suggest you have a look at a tv series in UK called The Long Shadow, this is about the yorkshire ripper but from the victims point of view. It was so good and I was so angry at the police.
I recently found out that a friend of mine is now one of the highest ranking nurses in the UK, she advises the government on policy. And she worked at Broadmoor for many years where she has done 1 to 1 interviews with every living UK serial killer. She has literally been in a room with just herself and the convict talking about what theyve done for many hours... shes not allowed to talk about any details, ive tried many times to get her to tell me!
"ive tried many times to get her to tell me!"
Stop asking! Seriously! It's almost of par with asking people who have been to war to tell all about what they've seen/heard. You don't want to think about it. At all. She probably doesn't want to talk about it more than she is not allowed too.
Stop.....she's literally signed to a contract that strictly forbids this.....even housekeeping/ maintenance staff have to sign it......they break the contract the repercussions are severe.....what sort of friend are you???
@@daisybelle1025 shes a FRIEND, so she knows im joking about when i ask her about it... crikey people are acting like i interrogate her some something! lol
@@davidbateleur8357 that's cool....sorry I did not mean to come across that way, but I know of two people that have lost their jobs this year alone ( yes ....its also on them) because of this.....I just hate anyone struggling atm......no malice meant
Hi JT, could I just say; Pictures are hung.
Meat is hung.
People are hanged.
'Hanged by the neck until dead.'
Enjoying your reactions.😊
I have caught the train many a time that stops at Wakefield. The prison is right next to it. Very chilling looking at buildings that are housing some extremely dangerous people.
It’s weirder on an evening, they put multicoloured lights up, it looks like a disco but I assume there is a real reason why
The Fred Dineage shows these clips were pulled from were really good. He's a bit of a legend over here, hes a news presenter, but was on a kids show called How 2 which taught you all sorts of things, and also the crime docs he does.
You must be old if you can remember ‘How’! 😅
@AlBarzUK haha! Well I'd say it would've been around 1990 to about 95, I think it was the second round of it though
@AlBarzUK I remember it, I'm 50! 🙂
Surprised we didn't have Levi Bellfield, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. And obviously Lucy Letby, but that is understandable because this video was created before that.
It would be interesting for you to watch a documentary on Broadmoor Hospital. It's not what the name seems to suggest.❤
If you go to broadmoor, you are never coming out, and if you are not fully mad when you get there, you soon will be
Peter Sutcliffe (Yorkshire Ripper) was caught in Sheffield around the corner from where I lived at the time. I was 8 years old.
I worked in a secure forensic hospital, most of our patients said they had much more freedom in prison. They said they had a "right to fresh air" so we had to let them out into the courtyard
The reply was "This is a hospital not a prison if you want fresh air open a window" (you could only open them 4 inches so they couldn't escape)
When they arrived they had
No access to a pen
If they wanted to go to the toilet or have a shower it would be with rhe door open and a member of staff watching
No access to shower gel this would be squeezed into your hand by the member of staff watching
There were also other limitations to things they could accsss
Psychiatric hospital is not necessarily an easier option
Hey Steve,
I like in Hyde Greater Manchester, this is where Shipman did most of his killings, he was a doctor at my local surgery and came across as a decent bloke.
The moors murderers were also from Hyde, they were not on this list but were even worse than most on the list, another serial killer couple.
You need check them out.
Love the videos, great selection of topics.
All the best
Darren
It's frightening how there are people in society who do this. Only this year, a woman named Lucy Letby was sentenced to life without parole. She is a serial killer who murdered babies in a maternity unit at the Countess Of Chester hospital. The biggest problem is that such people don't stand out in a crowd, in fact if you met one you'd probably find they were completely mundane and boring. If you want a good read, I suggest The Crimes, Detection And Death Of Jack the Ripper by Martin Fido. He was a criminology lecturer from both London and Harvard and the above book is probably the definitive work on Whitechapel Jack.
It was reported, 5 days ago, that Lucy Letby is appealing against all her convictions.
If you can watch a documentary on Fred & Rose West, you'll be amazed at their depravity.
It also surprises me that when we look at several countries serial killers, that the Catholic Church as a collective just isn't on there. They've killed tens of thousands of babies and children through the years, yet very few actually talk about it.
That would be like saying people should talk about Islam killing LGBT, Christians, non- believers etc etc from the days of Mohammed 1400 years ago to present day?
Moors murderers and crossbow cannibal should be on here. Also I’m from the same place as the crossbow cannibal and Yorkshire ripper.
The moors murders has to be number one. Not even mentioned.
There is a film called 10 rillington place based on Christie. Fred and rose actually murdered their own daughter and put her under the patio in their garden, they used to threaten their other children if they misbehaved that they would join Heather in the garden.
one of the victims'. sons (the son of Wilma Mccan) came to my secondary school it was very interesting but also very sad to hear about what happened especially because him and his sister almost found the body.
I've read his book . I had a mix of emotions reading it.
My uncle was questioned twice because of Sutcliffe. He lived in the same area and looked like him and wore a trench coat just like Sutcliffe, he gave his finger prints and blood to them willingly .
If you do try to find more stuff about these people, one of the best presenter/interviewer/author/journalist is Fred Dinenage. You can hear his distinctive voice throughout this episode, as they used many clips from his true crime tv series. You can actually see him at the end, with the glasses on talking to the guy in black about Jack the Ripper.
He retired from presenting the news 2021 at 79, after 58 yrs in the business. But as of this year, he's apparently doing Saturday afternoons on his local BBC Radio station, at 81!
For animal programs I'd go to David Attenborough, for true crim programs, I'd go to Fred Dinenage.
From Wikipedia...Fred Dinenage: Murder Casebook, a crime documentary series on 20th century murders was first broadcast on the Crime & Investigation Network in 2011.[8] He has also narrated Most Evil Killers for Pick since 2017...
These are a couple of his shows to look out for.
The couple that slays together stays together
With regards to hangmen Albert Pierrepoint was known to be one of the best (ie quickest). There are plenty of videos about him, I think there was a film too. IIRC his uncle was a hangman and also later his son . Proper family business lol
It is a very good film. I believe it's called the last hangman
@@kookytoots6755 I’m going to have to find it and watch it now!
He ended up being anti-capital punishment...
One of my relatives actually moved into 10 Rillington PLace in the 50's or 60s when West Indians were coming to the UK, he didn't stay long once he found out the history of the house. Evans' case I think was one of the cases used to to do away with the death penalty in the UK. Its bad enough convicting an inoccent man , but they hanged as well. John Christie killed both Evans' wife and baby daughter and his evidence helped to convict Evans/
Nilsen , not only was a completely psycho, he was also not very smart. The Plumber that found the remains.....was called out by Nilsen himself due to pipe blockage. The dude putting body parts of his victims down the drain , called a plumber out to fix his blocked pipes. A complete monster, and an absolute vegetable it seems.
I live right down the road from Fred and rose wests old house
My grandma actually went into their house when she was younger I'd say around 16-17, she managed to escape luckily...
Broadmoor is not an improvement on prison in the UK, it houses all of the most serious nutters in the country.
There were a couple of names on this list I hadn’t even heard before, I’m surprised it didn’t include Ian Brady and Myra Hindley, Beverley Allitt or Stephen Port the man who killed young men he met on Grindr
You need to check out what Broadmoor is mate...
In 1996 Kenneth Erskine rescued Peter Sutcliffe when he was being attacked by another prisoner.
the rope is length is calculated by your weight. Too short is suffocation, correct length is snapped neck.
"The mark of a good executioner is, among other things, that they properly size the noose and rope according to the prisoner’s body so as to ensure a quick, humane death by breaking the neck. Too long a rope and the longer fall can end with such force that the prisoner is decapitated. Too short a rope and the shorter fall can end with so little force that the neck doesn’t break and the prisoner slowly strangles to death."
Fred and Rose West. He was killing before he met her, then they got together and he convinced her to do it with him. She murdered his step daughter Charmaine, when she was eight. He then murdered Charmaines mother, when she came looking for Charmaine and her daughter with fred, Anne Marie. But he also killed his daughter 16yr old Heather, she was his and Rose's eldest child. Rose had eight children, five of them were Fred's, the rest were her customers. She prostituted herself from their home for years, with Fred's encouragement.. They mentally, physically and sexually abused those kids for years. They would tell them, behave or we'll bury you under the patio, like your sister Heather.
It's an horrific story, but you can't look away, because you can't believe that they buried nine of the twelve people they murdered in their back garden.
I've watched a fair few of the documentaries, because it's so un believable.
A nasty list, and one that does not cast a good light on humanity in general. As you go back in time detection and apprehension could be, and was, very problematic: what chance the Ripper in today's times, with CCTV cameras abounding, more advanced forensics, etc.? I'm a bit bemused as to how Brady and Hindley were not listed here. Maybe they did not kill that many (still enough, and children), but, I believe, they also audio recorded the screams of (some) victims, which says a lot about them.
Greeting from the UK. I think you really should do a reaction to an entire video on Fred and Rose West. There story is a bit messed up. They put there dead bodys in there back garden, under there stairs and even in the walls of there home. Truly messed up stuff.
Also look into Ian Huntley, a school care taker who murdered 2 little girls from the school he worked at by inviting them to his home. this was all just in 2002. Scary stuff.
He didn’t work at their school
@@Sallymartin83He was a caretaker at their school at the time of the murders , I googled it just to confirm and the above comment made is completely accurate
@@kirstymclaughlin4370 no he wasn’t, he was the caretaker of Soham Village College and Holly and Jessica went to St Andrews primary school - they are next door to each other but individual schools. They said he was St Andrews caretaker right from the start but he was the college caretaker, it’s something that has angered me right from the start, I knew the girls and went to SVC, I live in Soham.
@@Sallymartin83 🙄 once again the media lying !
To be fair everyone who doesn't live there is just going by what 99.9% of the country were told.
@@kirstymclaughlin4370 the schools are next door to each other to be fair, it’s just frustrating and miss leading and when your personally effected by it, it’s hard! 😞
Oh this one hit me when I didn’t expect. I grew up near Ipswich and I remember these killings starting and thinking it was awful and then Gemma Adams was found. She’s the same age as me and I knew her at High school age. This man is evil and devastated many families.
Broadmoor isn't a mental hospital that you'd rather go to than prison, it's a bad place.
I'm very surprised Myra hindley and Ian Brady aren't on here, I thought they'd be right at the top!
Yes please JT more in-depth on jack the ripper would be cool. 😊👌
😮I live in Lancashire where the Moors Murders (Ian Brady & Myra Hindley) took place, and now I live near the moors themselves! They buried most of their victims there but, thankfully I stopped going there prior to the murders! It’s a very desolate place but, walkers visit often!
Regarding your comment about so many murders happening in the 1960s and 1970s, the reason they have reduced so much is because of the improvements in DNA testing and forensic science from about the 1980s.
There were 602 murders in England & Wales in 2022, representing 1.1 per 100,000 of population. In 1888 - the year of Jack the Ripper - there were over 500 murders in London alone.
Number of murders for the US is 6.8 per 100,000 - but that varies from Vermont (1.2) to Louisiana (13.6).
love the content mate. If you want to know about a more recent serial killer, check out Lucy Letby. She was convicted less than a month ago. A prolific child killer.
The Letby creature is appealing her sentence, I hope she gets charged with more murders and an even longer sentence. She is worse than Beverley Allitt because she targetted premature babies who were either twins or triplets.
Two cereal killers went to my school (not at the same time) they are both in HMP Wakefield. Which is right next to the school West Yorkshire is popular for these people. 😂
14:49 the poor plumber found what they later determined to likely be part of a human neck
Nielsen was a former police officer too! david tennants tv show re-enactment was very good tv
I don't know how much valid merit it has, but their is a going theory that Jack the ripper, was American serial killer HH Holmes.
Two others not in the video The Hammersmith Nude Killer aka Jack The Stripper , this suspect killed in the style of Jack The Ripper but unlike The Ripper left his victims nude the suspect is said to be responsible for 6 or more murders . Since the 1990's there have been numerous deaths in Manchester canals 60 , suspicious deaths , have been attributed to a suspect police have nicknamed The Manchester Pusher . Both Jack The Stripper and The Pusher have yet to be identified and The Pusher may still be at large .
A more recent one, the crossbow killer in Bradford, very scary!
Of these 10 Rose and Fred West I think are the most fascinating, a builder and a prostitute who swung together and occasionally killed. Also don't diminish the status of the Broadmoor Hospital as punishment, some patients there were victims of the serial abuser Jimmy Saville who was a trustee. Saville himself is worth a study, DJ, TV presenter, Friend of King Charles and all round fiend.
You need to watch videos about Joanna Dennehy. She was a serial killer in the UK back in 2013
Fred and rose west were among a couple of people inhad to study in psycology when doing my level 3 health & social care course at college (it's higher education before you go on to university in the UK). Another one i studied was a man who slaughtered and ate gay men and another one that believed in incest and killed his own family. It's crazy how many scary people are in the UK that are willing to kill with no remorse. Oh and don't forget the one that was a nurse who killed babies via drips. She o erdoed them with medicine laced with poison. Xx
An ex-boyfriend of mine's grandad was one of Kenneth Erskine's victims. My boyfriend's mum found him when she went round to check on him 😢
'He played the crazy card'. Possible but that doesn't help much here. It's rare because mental hospitals for people like that are no walk in the park and it means he'll never, ever get out of those walls. Broadmoor is famous..look into that.
For all people in the US for just the ones who say why not put them to death UK has not done that since two people hanged in 1964 in 1965 to 1969 or 73 north lreland was removed from sentences in british laws system just to education for you
I once nursed Pepter Sutcliffe for 1 shift. His dad had died and he wasn't allowed at the funeral, but he was brought to a Mental Hospital to do a private visit to the grave. I did shifts at and I was made responsable for 1 night shift.
