I can't thank you enough for this extremely helpful video. your way in explaining phonics is wonderful. I have been struggling for the past few months of how to put my learning goals in teaching phonics and I have asked so many people but no one gave me the answer I wanted. I teach 2-4 and I only thought that the objective of teaching phonics is just to recognize the sound of the letter, the formation of it and how to write it. GOD BLESS YOU ❤️

how long do you teach phase 1 phonics for? the whole of nursery? or do you start phase 2 at the end of nursery perhaps and focus on satpin?

Could you do a video of all the 42 jolly phonics sounds and actions in one video? This would enable us to go through our book in order, thanks

Hi Caroline, thanks for your suggestion. I'll look at putting everything together. In the meantime, I have two videos which may help.
First 26 letter sounds and actions:

So helpful. I always enjoy your videos. Do you have any tips on teaching children with hearing impaired (congetital deaf) how to read since reading is about sounds.

Thank you so much for this video - lots of useful activities that I will start doing with my son already tomorrow ☺️❤️
Do you have any tips on teaching bilinguals? I’m Ukrainian and I want my son to read both in English and Ukrainian. He is almost 3 now and I wonder if it makes sense to introduce both English and Ukrainian alphabets? Or should I focus on one language first and introduce 2nd language later? 🤔
