Awesome Chris. That's how I ride my 1090, minus the drifting, the wheelies, the jumping, the rear wheel wheelies and the rest of the video. If you need footage of someone dumping their 1090 and trying to pick it up over and over again, let me know.
do it like the russians with their tanks and carry a correct lenght of sturdy wood for leverage and youl find no bike isto heavy for you ;) dono how best to carry it tho...
A wonderful and amazing video... KTM is one of the best motorcycle manufacturers in the world... Thank you.. I wish I could own a bike made by KTM 2024
I love this video! For more reasons then one, but it reminds me of the videos Chris always talked about. Where he would watch pro riders in slow motion multiple times to get the technique down. Spot on Chris! Loving the Vimeo series too. Cheers!
Nice Chris, know the area well did a lot of riding up there in the early 90’s when I was working in the area. That big dune at the beginning is a good effort on a dirt bike let alone a 200kg monster 👍👍
I remember my first power slide quite well. I think I was about four, and my mom made an error in judgement and me let push the shopping cart around the grocery store. I soon realized that if I kept up my speed (nothing changes much) I could break the real wheels free going around a turn on that waxy polished linoleum. Thank you for the video!
A man of your talent and expiernce is bound to be the first Kiwi Dakar winner, did you think of it? with the support of KTM, I am sure you'll do great apart from having a blast. well done mate, respect from Spain
Nice..... in the UK we would go to prison if we rode our beaches and shores like that... that's why we can only do all that stuff at night. 😄👍 Super vid... really enjoyed it. Regards.... Steve
Darryl here. Obviously you’re an exceptionally good rider and can it like a smaller duel sport. My question is, what tires are you running in the video? Thanks
kozy41, I’ve been running the Mitas E-07 Dakar on my 1200 Tiger and have been for the most part pleased. But in looser material, like sand or loose gravel they don’t perform so well and I’ve yet to try the 12 or 13 as mentioned. Now the TKC 80 does give me confidence in lose and hard pack surfaces. Obviously I don’t get the mileage with TKC 80’s about 4500 miles.
What a freak! Imagine how many people have bought these bikes because they watch CB videos. Only to be then disappointed they can't even throw tail on the thing 🤣
I wonder if its even possible for Chris to ride a Tenere 700. But unfortunately KTM won't allow it. I really want to see how the T700 rides under a very capable rider.

That was just flat out cool as hell with the perfect ending. Wish I could ride like that but at 73 I'll take what I got and be happy. :)
....if your riding your bike.....its a Good Day 😃👍
Forever two wheels 🤘
this dude is drawing perfect circles with his bike and i can't even with my hand
WOW!! KTM is the best, how i wish.
Hoping that someone will give you a gift like this on your birthday 🤸🤸🤸🤸🎁🎁
One of my favourite videos. Got me excited enough to eventually get a 1090R!:)

This might be my new favorite video on the entire internet.

I love this video! For more reasons then one, but it reminds me of the videos Chris always talked about. Where he would watch pro riders in slow motion multiple times to get the technique down. Spot on Chris! Loving the Vimeo series too. Cheers!
but what beautiful landscapes and what excellent skills. amazing
Nice Chris, know the area well did a lot of riding up there in the early 90’s when I was working in the area. That big dune at the beginning is a good effort on a dirt bike let alone a 200kg monster 👍👍
it did take a few goes!
@@ChrisBirchNZ thanks for the acknowledgment, that's really merciful of you, oh sensei...
Don't understand the downvotes. Great update to the original video.
Pure awesomeness. That is for those things I bought a ktm but I have not even tried off-road yet...
One of my favorite videos you’ve done yet.
Great video!! One of the best I have ever seen. Congrats Chris.
Your pretty amazing, and no I couldn't learn those skilz. I would have to be able to pick the bike up. My XR650L is heavy enough right. Good show!
Once Covid clears, I'm planning a trip to visit! And of course learn all those skills...lol. A guy can dream.
Didn't happen

Majestic photography and great editing. Ok, the rider's quite good too...
holy jesus. that bloke can seriously ride.
A man of your talent and expiernce is bound to be the first Kiwi Dakar winner, did you think of it? with the support of KTM, I am sure you'll do great apart from having a blast. well done mate, respect from Spain
Friggin awesome, needed this!!!
Unreal 💪 tell ktm to send you the 690 r , we need a Chris birch review
So sick! Damn Chris, amazing riding. This should make its way into a feature.
I'd love to see a KTM do this for some of their promo videos. I loved this! Awesome job guys!
You do realize this is just KTM marketing? And basically one of their promo videos lol.....
@@lucaspaashuis6476 👍😁
@@lucaspaashuis6476 that's fine. They should do a mainstream video like this and post it on a super bowl commercial!
just perfect, beautiful 👍
Amazing riding skills brother!!! Hello from Canada. Cheers, Ronny
First! Connecticut approves. Well done Chris.
Your riding skills are terrific!
Good video that looks like a fun bike, don’t think I’ve seen one in person
Amazing!!! Absolutely cool 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Under the right hands that KTM really looked like it was made out of helium. Top notch riding.
Woow what an amazing video!
Let's see a 950 video!
Hi Chris,
Can you please make a tutorial on how to do powerslides ?
Thank you for the beautiful video ;-)
Nice..... in the UK we would go to prison if we rode our beaches and shores like that... that's why we can only do all that stuff at night. 😄👍
Super vid... really enjoyed it.
Regards.... Steve
Always amazing! There is a lot of technique in there... But how much faith? Just wondering 🤔
Why do I feel like I need a 1090 now? If only the bike came with the skills to use it.
That sounds so sweet.
The horses are like "how many horses you got there mate. Can i have one"
Very talented mahn ... KTM 😍 awesome...
Wow....God level
Amazing 🏆
Amazing! I wish I had the talent of Chris Birch's pinkie finger I would be a much better rider. Love the video bike sounded incredible.
LO MEJOR DE LO MEJOR CHRIS
Exactly what it's like when I take my DR fishing.
"How was the ride daddy?"...."It was alright,we went as fast as we could possibly go".
Can you make a video of how to drive in a deep soft sand?
For sure I picked the change up
mamma mia... what a ride!
Soo happy there was no music overlay

I think I've seen all this already... lonnnnnnng ago.
Never gets old stays online forever and in the good times box hoon memories
Dude is badass, gnarly rider! Saltwater in the KTM? Yikes! Hope it was a loaner! LOL!
A spray with Motorex moto protect first and a real good wash afterwards!
Chris Birch - Off Road Coach Rust is probably scared of the KTM anyway!
Ya my hometown!
What area is this mate it looks amazing. Not just for riding either
Best ever
Hey man where did you guys film this? those forestry tracks look mean.
Mate that bloke can ride
Feck sake, you make it look so easy!!!
Darryl here. Obviously you’re an exceptionally good rider and can it like a smaller duel sport. My question is, what tires are you running in the video? Thanks
Looks like Mitas E12 and E13

The guy F**kin rips!
I do the same stuff... but you don't need the slow-mo effects! 😂😂😂
Kids, don't try this at home.
¡Love it, hoy easy seems!.
How is this guy making a heavy bike looks lightweight?
Haha this is awesome! Say No to slow!
This dude rides 1090 better than I can 250 XC-F
Better than your lockdown video. Lol
I just don't understand how he's not getting bogged down I am on a bike half his weight and and get bogged
What a freak! Imagine how many people have bought these bikes because they watch CB videos. Only to be then disappointed they can't even throw tail on the thing 🤣
Sheesh! All that salt water induced corrosion about to set in...
Have you ever fallen off?
Should make the noted..... been film with professional don't do it by yourself with out trainer, haha .. Well done bro

Boss
great to watch! until he drinks red bull while he's with his family .... awkward
He's actually dumping Red Bull in the can...his blood makes it and he has to excrete the excess.
It must be the oil. What oil do you use?
A KTM with only 7 horses? 0:34
너무쉽게해내니.......OTL
you make it look too easy
Salt bath anyone?
😳
Куда он раздаёт

Salt water ? 😝
Steve C I would never put one of my bikes through salt water
