A great car build considering, I'd guess that Rich's total budget, including transportation costs, hotels and meals on the way, probably amount to about one million dollars less than any other SEMA entry.

Longest week of my life was driving from ohio to oregon in a uhaul helping a friend move, like 3 weeks from corn harvest.

When the guy at Advance was fangirling out about swapping the electric drivetrain into an old Studebaker, I instantly thought of Superfast Matt and his electric Jag project. It was awesome to see Matt make a cameo in this episode.

My first thought when he brought up the Studebaker was Matt's Jag. I was quite pleased to see him and sorta shocked his project wasn't brought up. Matt's next project should be taking that 1950 Jag engine and putting it into a Tesla 😂

There’s a big market for old cars with Tesla swaps now. There’s the Ruffian911 for example, which is a mud damaged 964 911 race car with a Model S drivetrain. It was at SEMA
For this content check "SuperfastMatt" the ex-tesla worker who's building a 50's Jag /tesla power. Worth it!
Superfast Matt (showed up his face in the vid) is dealing with the 1957 Jag at the moment.
I think it is a great idea and realistically speaking given the fact I doubt the car would be used as a daily driver, you could easily get away with using a smaller motor/battery setup as I am doubtful you need 300+ miles of range to drive around to various car shows and events. Breathes new life into old rides and shows a melding of "old" and "new" tech too.
519 kustomz near Guelph Ontario I think was one of the first guys doing it. The first one I saw him doing was something similar to a kubelwagen don’t remember the exact car now though. Think he has done a couple more since then.
My bucket list has a new addition: a cross country road trip with Uncle Rich, Stevon, and of course Joshua. That other guy, whoever he is, can come too.

I really like the way this project turned out! Although I can't be the only one who wishes that any other rims were fitted.
People pick things apart on the car a lot. But the wheels are a departure from my normal “all wheels must be black” theme we wanted something more “flashy” for SEMA to draw attention to the car. Keep in mind this isn’t even close to the cars final form…
