I started watching season 1 when I was 11. I'm 27 now. My father wasn't a part of my life, and watching Lucas helped me deal with that pain. I will forever be grateful for what this show taught me in my youth.
Myself, I kinda relate more to Mouth and sort of Nathan. I do have a Dan in my life though but they aren't as bad as him. My parents are like him at times. I've also just had alot of people take advantage of me at times and/or abuse me. I'm 22 and sadly it took me watching this show to fully realize the shit people including my parents put me through even now as an adult. I have faith that we're gonna be ok though.
Lucas' face at 1:59 with his tongue sticking out when Dan is choking him always makes me laugh. It's not supposed to be funny but for some reason it's hilarious. Sorry 😅

This is why they are the perfect couple and why Lucas loves Peyton so much and why he married her in the end!!!!!!!!!

Honestly pretty scary how he was just able to bring himself to strangling his own kid. He would've strangled him to death if Peyton wasn't there.
👍🏼 I haven’t watched OTH in years, but I clearly remember this scene. Dan was so cruel.
I honestly lost words when Dan grabbed Lucas.
That and at fhe police station and other places where he made Lucas look crazy for even entertaining the idea that Dan killed Keith.
Some dad, huh?
Right?? You know your a terrible father when the son who you abandoned is better off then the one you didn't abandon.
