I used to play back then too, and what Peter Wu was trying to say, was how back then you had to time jungle camps yourself to know when they respawned and you had to buy and place wards yourself. Nowadays there are interfaces like jungle timers and things like that which are in the game which just make it soooooo noob friendly.
I ve mained jungle for as long as I can remember, before jungle timers came out I used to have to type the time i killed the camp, buffs, drag and baron into chat so i can press Z after to count the timers, baron is 7 min, drag is 6, buffs were 5, golems were 1min 10s i think, wraith and wolfs were 50s and grump did not exist, nor did scuddle and utility plants
now theres the map timers, fking 1min before your buff spawns as long as you have seen the area once after the buff died. it literally tells you, HEY, COME HERE IN A MINUTE AND GANK THE JUNGLER...lol
I don't feel like that makes a huge difference. Memorizing timers like that isn't really what I think the game should be about imo. Also to make proper jungle pathings you still have to know everything by heart, it just makes it easier for low-tier players who go to random camps as they see fit when they are up, which I don't really mind. I don't like the dragon and baron indicator because I liked it when you couldn't be sure whether the enemy team took it or not until you somehow checked, but it's not a big issue. Everyone was a complete noob back then, if you took a high gold player from this season and put him back to season 2 or 3, he would be trashing diamond players imo. So it's hard to argue that the game actually became easier if almost everyone is playing much better, hence you have to play on a higher level than back then.
Not if you played since seasons 1, this is good old memories if you are a league veteran, cause I watched this game live, it's a completely different experience
