Food prep!! This is so important. We tend to forget with everything else that we are making sure we don't forget, and not to forget that the food and drinks available at the meets/tournaments isn't the best especially for our wrestlers.
For some of us, our family becomes our passion. We can become so immersed in our role and making sure they are happy and satisfied that we tend to not think much about "what we like" outside of our household. And that's ok! We still manage to find happiness within our family life. That's not to say it's not important for self care or to find something that brings joy to you outside of your family. We just don't always find something we are passionate about as much as our family ❤❤ THANK YOU COACHES! THANK YOU WIVES FOR HOLDING THEM UP WHILE THEY DEVOTE THE TIME TO OUR KIDS!!
Ahhhh all day tournaments are not for the faint of heart! So yes, being comfortable and mentally prepared as well as being well rested is super important!! Your emotions will spiral throughout the whole day! Yes take the walks!! Meet new people! Bring blankets and chairs and healthy snacks for yourself and your family… throw in a few things like m&ms too and hydrate!! Water, liquidIV, etc. Witnessing the passion that my husband and so many other coaches have for the sport is fulfilling. It truly warms my heart. 9 years we have been doing this and I can’t wait for wrestling season to begin each year. Yes it’s exhausting… physically, mentally, emotionally, but it’s also an awesome energy, and it’s an intense atmosphere. It’s truly a way of life, and this Mama is just along for the ride! I love that you ladies are doing this!!❤

Yes, tournament food is not usually nutritionally ideal for anyone much less athletes. What's your go to snacks/lunch for tournaments?
