The Mahindra Treo costs between INR 1.7 - 2.7 lakh, and it is not really cheap, but the pricing is similar to the CNG Bajaj RE Compact. its not practical one specialy as a public transportation feild..
why because 2 reason
it will deliver you only 60 to 70 KM per charge even the company claims 170 or 130 km that will not be in our daily basis road condition
son the 2 problems were these .
1 . GOVT or some other corporate should start charging points in each and every cornners through out the city or villages.
2. spending for 3 hour to charging the vehicle is not practical one for some one who is driving this auto for to earn his daily live food money..
this should have an replacement option like replace the charged battery from charging points ..
if not the situation will be same like KSRTC EV bus got breakdown in the city with its passengers who paid for to reach the desitination..
so it should be like this that every charging points should have some replacing option instead of spending 3 preciouse hours to charge the vehicle..
It does have battery changing, so you can put one to charge while doing your trips. And replace it when the other one is empty.
Bhai tu agar subah chaleag aur dopar me 3 ghane charge karega to kya farak padega 100 km mileage mil jati he 1 din ka 200 km is sufficient don't you think?

All autos should be electric from now onwards. Petrol, diesel, CNG and kerosene autos should be banned as soon as possible.

Your idea is Good for only city ride..But not good for intercity..Because in one charging it runs for only 90 to 100km..
I agree with you I m sn auto driver.. bajaj auto.. theese mechanics are very greedy and unethical.. all at drivers .just and shud visit them.. so mechanics are growing rich and drivers are in the same status.. as a result drivers ask more from the customers and 90 percent coustemersare imature and blindly giv a label as auto drivers are beggars!!!
