They lose family and find new people they call family. They have gone to heaven for each other and will do it all over again. Cause that's what FAMILY does and "Family don't end with blood". Follow the adventures of the awesome Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester who lost his shoe and is deathly afraid of clowns, on their journey to avert the next apocalypse and save the world. Yeah his reasoning could be better, though killing Lucifer needed to be done. Either that or lock him up in the cage again. We saw multiple of Lucifer's plans, none of them were good.

Should been like DBZ during the earlier seasons. Maybe start with dust being blown away on the ground. When an archangel dies there should a nuclear like explosion. With the victor walking out from the explosion not sustaining any damage they're previously had.
My theory is Lucifer and Michael had other supernatural forces related to the Apocalypse gathered around them and to their sides during Season 5, like whatever caused the Apocalyptic weather and other disasters assuming it wasn't just an archangel's presence on Earth - and that after S5, they had no such forces around them when Lucifer and Alternate Michael fought.
Well do remember, lucifer was in his true vessel and Michael was...well Adam was good enough. My theory is if a archangel dies in their true vessel than a chain reaction occurs and half the planet gets roasted.

He couldn't do that because he was severely weakened in Season 13 after being tortured for years by Asmodeus and having chunks of his grace stolen. Did you even watch the show?
To be fair, Gabriel's power were unique because it was a mix of archangel grace and Loki's teachings.

After finishing the show its wild to hear these conversations. Lucifer was just a pawn in God's game. He knew all along his dad was in controll of everything and MADE everything happen but he could never figure out why. How broken do you think we would have been if he found out it was literally just for his entertainment?

They could’ve just continued going the route that they were going instead of over convoluting everything and it would’ve been great but all this twists that they put into it just to make it seem different was totally unnecessary and I think it ruined the show for a lot of people. I’m not the only one who feels this way.
It got even worse when they killed Crowley off and don’t even even get me started on all the stuff they did with death. They took another good character and just ruined it.

Final fight probably would have been different if Michael took over as he had much more experience with his own powers. But Lucifer also knew that so was confident when Dean was the one to challenge him. You can tell at the beginning he seemed surprised that Dean managed to hurt him as even though he knows Dean has Michael’s powers, what he sees before him is still Dean Winchester the weak human he could kill by sneezing.
So I’ve been thinking this might been the reason Michael didn’t take over immediately because he knew that if he fought, Lucifer would be much more cautious and may cost them the battle. So to win the battle he feigned a weakness to lull the devil into a sense of overconfidence and complacency whereas he was ready to take over at a moments notice if things got too bad. Well played. Master strategist indeed.

Two of the most powerful beings in the universe are standing on the holy ground. It was the season finale and I was expecting some kind of thunderstorm, earthquake, whatever... but nothing happened. If Dean didn't interrupt their fight, the apocalypse would have ended up with the fistfight.

I feel incredibly sad about Gabriel. He had so much potential confronting Michael like that and also had the opportunity to face him with Lucifer, this was a missed opportunity. It also felt like neither of them acknowledged Gabriel's death/outcome, like he meant nothing to either of them and that upsets me dearly as he was probably the most loyal as he stood by the humans, His fathers (Gods) creation, whilst Lucifer and Michael only thought about themselves and what they have, not about each other and everyone else. Also, adding on, Michael seemed shocked about Gabriel's presence and this was also a missed opportunity as what they shouldve done is made them have a small conversation or perhaps an introduction/reasoning behind all this as Gabriel had no means to die, he just got in the way of the fight between his 2 brothers.
One of the saddest things to ever happen on supernatural. I hate it when they kill amazingly powerful beings. Just like the saddest scenes in Game of Thrones were when two of the dragons died
The fact that Lucifer's greatest fear was to be locked up again just breaks my heart. Imagine spending million of years locked up in an all sealed solid walls cage suspended in the middle of darkness where the only source of light is lightning. Surrounded by nothing but darkness all alone for million of years by your own father, forgotten and hated because you loved him too much. That's very sad..............

I love how this show shows that angels are just as mean and arrogant, if not more, than demons & Lucifer. Angels are supposed to be good and take the high road at all times but this show humanizes them and really shows the duality in both good and evil.
I mean if you go specifically biblical canon and not fun happy time Sunday school stories, angels are soldiers of god. There is no reason to think they would be good or that they would take the ‘high road’ at all times. They do what they think their orders tell them to do.

I thought that when Lucifer and Michael fought the fallout would be enormous. When they fought for that one min, it was nothing.

@Supernaturally American I totally get what you're saying. They spent all of season 5 saying that of Lucifer and Michael fought then the collateral damage would be what would have destroyed and torched the Earth.
I imagined some kind of epic DBZ like fight where every time they punched one another it'd be like nuclear bombs going off. There'd be explosions, shock waves, things getting destroyed. That would have been awesome.

My theory for why that is is because when Lucifer and Alternate Michael fought, they didn't have Apocalyptic forces converging to their sides after Season 5 - like whatever caused the natural disasters of the Apocalypse, assuming it wasn't just an archangel's presence on Earth.

Danny Michael is significantly stronger than Lucifer and easily beat him. If Raphael and Gabriel were on his side, which they would be considering that Raphael was the second in command and therefore right hand man in the order of the Heavenly Hosts and Gabriel isn’t bad They would’ve instantly win if they teamed no casualties

and when we got introduced to Cain, he explained how Sam and Dean story mirrored him and Abel.
That fight scene was horrific , Lucifer running right before he flew looked hilarious. The wirework was really bad. Sams acting in the background was bad. Also Lucifer dying scream was just comical. Also this battle should have destroyed the whole country at least.
Like I can and can’t defend the final fight in season 13. Like the indefensible part is some of the camera work, the overall visuals of the flying as well as dean’s/Michael’s roaring while flying into the punches. Especially because Michael both original version and apocalypse version had been so cool, calm and collected. He hated lucifer but being Heaven’s strongest warrior not to mention what we had previously seen of Michael that roar just seems childish. Finally the plot armour like Jack taking so long to stab him self and and how long it was taking lucifer to smite Michael. That feels like writing that isn’t up to snuff with this show’s quality. However the one complaint everyone has with this fight is that it isn’t world ending or apocalyptic as it’s made out to be in season 5 but I actually prefer it to not be. See season 5 was truly the apocalyptic fight, you had the host of heaven at nearly full strength save by the end of the season the majority of Castiel’s garrison had defected or died, Gabriel at the time of the season was rumoured to be dead and Zachariah had been killed by Dean. As for Hell it was only the likes of Crowley who wanted to derail the fight and Death was pissed off he was under lucifers control and so wanted to go with the option of throwing lucifer back in the cage simply because he saw all of creation as just a pathetic spec of dust beneath him but didn’t want to ruin the natural order of things. All other demons were chomping for the apocalypse and for hell to win. So both sides were fully or nearly fully garrisoned and wanted the war to occur. But by the time of the finale of season 13 heaven and hell had both seen a series of civil wars which killed scores of angels and demons, not to mention the original fallout and clashes in season 4 and 5 between heaven and hell, plus not to exclude all those killed by the Winchester’s such as 3 of the 4 horsemen. Death getting an under appealing replacement in a stupid writing decision. And even obscure details such as the contents of heaven’s warchest being scattered on earth, the angels Amara smote, the anti christ from season 5 not being recruited by hell and turned into a weapon, demonic generals like yellow eyes being killed. Essentially the list is extremely long but in short the season 13 fight could never be THE apocalyptic fight because there was the leaders of the armies: Michael and Lucifer but they had no armies to lead with no weapons besides their individual blades to fight with. On top of that their motivations are different from season 5. Michael In season 5 wanted to destroy sin and hell, this meant in his eyes humanity was fair game for he wanted to bring heaven to earth “to live in paradise” which in biblical terms means no sin, lucifer on the other hand wanted to raise hell to earth and destroy G-d’s (Chuck to the SPN fandom) creation but not completely wipe it out of existence, lucifer wanted to rule over a broken earth to show up “the old man” where as in season 13 lucifer knows G-d doesn’t care about ruling over the universe so is more intent in just ruling over earth and acting as G-d not to be a righteous ruler but just to show up G-d, Michael in season 13 is from an alternative reality where he doesn’t want paradise on earth but instead is much more like lucifer, Michael has had his fight but G-d left so Michael being really pissed off wants to destroy all of G-d’s world’s then eventually catch up to G-d to try and kill Him. So for those reasons, of there being no unified armies on either side with none of their weapons, leaders with ultimately different motivations and one of the central characters being from an alternative reality, this version of the battle between Michael and lucifer could never be Armageddon.

nice call, now... the thing that 've thought would be the PERFECT ending for the last few years would be if they all got together in the end and all of the dead were there like bobby and everyone (except for Sam was still out doing something) and then happy lalala then the camera pans out and up and through the clouds and it all looks like such a heavenly view... and then it is suddenly dark red and lighting and fire and you hear a loud crack but it's not thunder, but the sound of Dean's neck being snapped by the foot of Sam/Lucifer and the fire and red is all in the red eyes as it zooms out on him gently laying a single red rose on Dean's lifeless body as the white suited Sam/Lucifer says "It was always going to be here... like I said Dean, it was always going to be Detroit."
zoom out, the world burns, Lucifer Laughs, Sympathy for the Devil plays by the Rolling Stones as the credits roll, everyone sits there blank and stunned, fade out... done... flawless victory.
Im kinda sad how they fucked up Lucifer's character overtime. He started out really good, i want OG Lucifer back. He probably wouldn't even had Jack if his character didnt do a 180

They just wasted the original Michael just to bring back a different Michael for no stupid good reason . So they ruined Michael’s character they ruined Lucifer’s character. there’s no Jesus which blew my mind. They turned God into the bad guy.

I think it really ruined the show for a lot of people such as myself who were hoping to see a real battle between Michael and Lucifer .

Who were hoping for you know some scriptural accuracy in the show but I should’ve expected them not to do that .
I mean, I understand, diverting from scripture a little bit but the amount of diverting and all of the stuff they changed.. it got to a point where it was just too over the top and too many unnecessary twists and nearly all of those twists were for no good reason.
I feel like they started twisting things so much that they either had to continue twisting things because it wouldn’t make sense otherwise .
I think they started writing them themselves in the corners and they kept having to twist and change things drastically in order to write themselves out of the corners .
I don’t know I think it was just bad writing to be honest .
Had so much potential to be good and yet .. I don’t know. It’s disappointing and sad to me as well.
I remember when Michael made his first appearance and he had that little meet with Lucifer and then Bobby hits him with the moltov cocktail..I think that’s how it went. If I remember correctly, it’s been a while but I remember after seeing that I was so hyped to see Lucifer and Michael face off for real at some point.
And don’t even get me started what they did with death.
He was such a cool character and written so well until closer to the end of his story it got all stupid and convoluted again as well.
Same thing with Crowley. Great character at first, and then, as the show went on, they just ruined him towards the end.
Even the actor who played Crowley hated how his character ended.

Netflix Lucifer is more human Lucifer , this version is more cosmic .Netflix Lucifer was locked by a heavy door , was knock down by a human , he has to fist to fist against other angels or demons . SPN Lucifer can just snap pretty much everyone except his archangels brothers and primordial beings.They are not in the same league . SPN Lucifer will snap his fingers and Netflix Lucy is dust.

Almost certainly not, Lucifer seemed a lot more confident fighting him before the first time. Chuck probably just has other criteria for quality, same way a writer's favourite character may not be the most powerful one they write, just the most interesting.

@FactionsTazer Michael did it to a room, Jack did it to an entire planet. Also Michael's currently inhabiting Adam, who's about as close to a perfect vessel as someone can be without being Dean, so it makes sense that he's got a lot more power right now than he would in any old meatsuit.

I still think that if the Archangels were made of "primordial stuff" it should be much harder to take their grace than the same way normal angels lose it. Just seems like an oversimplification

You know one thing I noticed. Lucifer in Sam is more stoic, more how do I say. Wilingl to not fight. More like he's neutral to it all. His other body. He seems like a coward, wanting to destroy everything he touches. It makes me wonder if the vessel they occupy changes who they perceive themselves to be.
And if it's an alternate universe does it make sense that Lucifer wasn't the angel who rebelled but Micheal rebelled. And Lucifer is meant to destroy the devil who is Michael.
It’s so weird how the later seasons can go from an awful fight like any of the fights between Lucifer and apocalypse world Michael to good scenes like Lucifer’s torture scene.
I watching some episodes back and the biggest mistakes where:
1) Killing everyone off. Solution: Write them out for a while or think of something else
2) The stupid blades instead of exorcisms
3) Weak Angels and weak Demons (Example Season 14 episode 1)
4) Lucifer is only evil. This is a example of pure dogma. It would be nice to end Supernatural 13 with Lucifer doing something good, they were on their way during that season, but we all know the last episode.
5) A Nephelim who is stronger then an Archangel (yeah right) and got a whole season (14)
6) Nick, who magically survived everything even Crowley's creation of the meat suite (yeah right). Who worked episodes to resurrect Lucifer, but nothing happened.
7) For Lucifer fans. Going from a strong Lucifer to a very whiney one. Who could even do anything in Heaven. But in hell he created Demons.... But his son can (sorry but you're losing me here)
This is one of my favorite shows cant wait to see how it ends. Hope its a good ending.

The special effects team missed a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY to add the glowing blue and red eyes with the bright wings peacocking right in the middle of Michael saying, "and I have to kill you" and right after Lucifer said "I'd like to see you try". It would have added more unforgettable epicness to the scene.

not in this show. here michael is older, but lucifer was still god's favorite son. the morningstar nickname was inherited because he was the lightbringer (being god's favorite) before he was cast out. all angels were supposed to be perfect beings and that's why they ultimately failed.
gior nikitop this show is rubbish, according to the Bible Lucifer was the strongest and the most beautiful angel of the paradise, only God was stronger than him. He lost because his angels were less (just 1/3) and god was against him

Lucifer is shown little underated in this series. The War which took place in Heaven between Lucifer and Michael lasted for many years with 2/3 of Heaven's angels on Michael's Side and just 1/3 of them on Lucifer's Side. Ofc Lucifer had to lost bcoz Michael was having way more angel and he was also was backed my God. Probably in a 1v1, I think Lucifer would prevail bcoz...Ofc the Bible says that he was the most perfect creation of God

The fact that Lucifer can effortlessly and instantly obliterate multiple angels at the same time with a finger snap shows how unbelievably powerful he truly is.
My theory is that angels can send and give their grace to their bretheren passively like a hive mind. So in the first few seasons the angel population was at its highest so they collectively had more power. That's why Michael fighting Lucifer would have destroyed the world, Michael had heaven and other archangels backing him.
It's also why the other worlds Michael could beat Lucifer so easily because his world still had plenty of angels. Not so once the fight crossed over to the Main world. His boost at that point was just having Dean.
In the main world genocide and civil war happened in their heaven. Raphael, God Cass, The leviathan, Metatron and Lucifer taking control. Millions of angels died and there even was an episode saying heaven is flickering due to lack of angels
