Puffers and sheepskin coats aren’t really my style. I prefer a long 100% wool or cashmere (or blend) overcoat. I like them lined, with a breathable (non-polyester) lining, ideally silk, but rayon is ok, too, it’s highly breathable and non-static (important for my dry climate). I got several new ones at Banana Republic this autumn, the quality is beautiful and the prices fair, about $400-500 US. I’ve needed these for years, but only just discovered these that meet my quality standards at BR. Most of the High Street brand coats don’t, I just won’t buy any synthetic fabrics or materials. They even have buttonable interior pockets for phones, wallets, etc.!
