    When dust will be settled down, Pollini will be recognized as the greatest pianist of '900 and, of course, of all times. And not for his steel-like fingers, but for his superb, superior intellectual and musical integrity. When, as here, he is in a state of grace, he makes you hear something you already heard hundreds of times as if it were the first time, and this happens almost every bar.

      music is subjective. I share the same Italian heart as Pollini, and he's a superb pianist, but there is no "greatest pianist of al time". I too could say: "Zimerman is the greatest pianist of the '900s" or of all time, but it would still be subjective, because every artist lives art in their way.

      @@aefnostI agree with you and I think we have been lucky to have a chance to listen to him, Zimmerman, Argerich and many others. Each of them will have a special place in our memory and in the history of interpretation

    This piece was created when Chopin's creativity and musical skills were the most powerful. Every time I hear it , I feel overwhelmed.
