After doing a second character pre battle dialogues, I can almost tell the different between the unique and generic dialogues. In this one, they are unique without to many repeats of the same line.

I swear, Adult Gohan’s intro has so much power to it. The angle and then the sudden burst of energy, as well as the sound just makes it so STRONG. Fave one out of the whole cast.

The unique quote for android #16 and #18 was pretty nice.
Gohan is the prime example of of wasted potential. He should've been a sayian that doesn't go super sayian but had his own path.

Blake Heyhey Id say her voice fits, but in the game it feels to emotional for her body language. In an anime i bet shed be perfect. It's also a bit too loud in comparison to the other characters.

Blake Heyhey no not just her. Trunks and Goten have new ones, and I guess teen Gohan's current is a little old but she sucks compared to his and Kid Goku's original. Chris doesn't sound the same, well at least it's still him and frieza got a new too if I recall correctly.

So I have a theory, could this game be technically an alternate timeline where the grand priest has given universes way more time to gather their 10 fighters. Like two weeks instead of 2 days?

This takes place before after revival of F my guy
Its after revival of F, in the story Goku asks Frieza if he is gonna go gold.
It's after Resurrection F (and presumably The Black/Zamasu Saga) but way before the Tournament of Power. In the story mode, Gohan mentions he's training with Piccolo again, but he's not up to full strength yet.
More like that's just the best way to utilize Gohan as a young adult since it's him at his peak and despite the plot taking cues from Super, the characters themselves take cues from ALL of their appearances.

A shame, just like guilty gear XRD, the voices are completely out of sync. Dragon Ball is a gigantic IP, I think they should take those little details in consideration.
R they're not synced with the dub because the lip sync was made with the japanese voices in mind, in order to have correct lip sync it would take a longer time to animate them all
Also, to hear Gohan calling Piccolo... just "Piccolo".. Goddammit, it's MR. Piccolo. Show some respect, little brat. Or the english dub didn't took that in consideration. In my country, Gohan always called Piccolo a mr. and that's the right translation.
He only did that as a child in the English dub.

I recently started despising Toriyama, but only recently. I used to think he was a good writer when I was a kid and didn't know any better, but as I wised up I realized just how much of a hack he truly was and now consequently see no value in him as a writer or as a person in general, so when playing *the word of god* card does tend to grate on my nerves. Sorry about that.
Especially given the fact animation companies in Japan don't work like the way you're thinking they do. Yes, Mangakas can give companies adapting their series to animation a few pointers, but that's generally limited to giving filler ideas to help flesh out their stories' worlds they didn't have the time to do in the manga.
Mangaka *never* pick voice actors.
