- Semi final action from the 2014 Commonwealth Games with Aron Sherriff (Australia) taking on Darren Burnett (Scotland). As always apologies for the video quality - it's ripped from VHS. It looks like the greens are very slow, not good news for a commonwealth games.
*They are Real Grass Greens not artificial !*
@@GrrMeister The Bowling Greens in England are renowned for being slow due to the strain of grass used, however we in Australia are spoilt for good quality surfaces for our bowls with the greens running at between 14/17 seconds on a regular basis.
A quick timing indicated a 13/14 second green, so yeah a bit on the slow side.
End 7 and 8 the worst shot selection by Sherriff, or anyone, I've seen. A beginner wouldn't have chosen to play those shots. Enough. Not worth watching.
