Awesome video as always, Austin! For the Fiend, the only way I know of that deters it is flashing it with a pro flashlight (rly not ideal when you’re with multiple people and not playing for too long). Otherwise, it’s just quite strong and I avoid using its respective mod when possible.
The Fiend is the single most overpowered and genuinely terrifying mod I have ever seen in this game. I enjoy watching videos with it for the laughs, but I think if I ever played a game with it I would have a heart attack. Its AI is programmed for jump scares. I think the only sign of knowing it is around is the light flicker.
If you wanna make this modpack just that little bit more extreme, you should add the mod called “We need to go deeper” which makes it so you can go in through the main entrance but you’re only able to leave through the fire escape(s). That combined with the “IsThisWhereICame” mod should make things very challenging
I love that you routinely make a mention of which mods are doing what, really helps to shed more light on some of these mods. What's the mod that causes the random events such as the ship being unable to leave past 2PM?
how to deal with fiend: uninstall it, its broken mob with like zero way to deal with if u look at it for 2 long it gets enraged, taking appi also makes it go enraged the stun ONLY works with a pro it's just a broken ass mod for no reason icl
haha the immersive visor modder knows that players still blink on their own and dont need to add it into the game, right? Imagine if you were violently aware of your vision disappearing every time you blinked in real life?
I have also seen on the fake doors that the little hand symbol that shows to leave becomes a hand flipping the bird instead of the normal open hand haha.
@jayman1462 It's a deep growl There's also a rare chance the door will say "feed" instead of "exit" when you hover your mouse on it And the middle finger only appears if you hit the door There's also a mode that's disabled by default (mod author probably thought it was too easy) that forces at least one defect on the door, like the light being a different color, or the handle being backwards
The only surefire way of knowing is by hitting it with a shovel or sign. Other ways to figure it out don’t have a 100% chance of showing up unless you turn on easy mode in the mod config. The other ways are I know of are: Interaction can either be too fast or too slow. The hand icon can flip you off instead of point. The text might say “feed” instead of “exit”. Either the door itself or the light above it can be orange instead of red. And lastly, there can be blood on the floor in front of it.
