Sakinah Ansar I started 4 years ago! It helps to look at reference photos of real flowers when you’re starting just to practice. Also, you’re in the right place by watching videos of other people painting. I wish I would have had video tutorials when I was starting. I had to teach myself basically. Haha. When you’re looking for flowers to paint, make sure they have really basic shapes. Think daisies, roses, etc. That will help too. The last thing to remember is that it takes time to learn and to dedicate a few minutes to practice and play every day. What you create doesn’t have to be perfect and it won’t be to start out! Try not to get discouraged and keep at it! Let me know if you have more specific questions I can help with! Hopefully this is helpful for you. Xo

I was afraid once too! Think of it this way: you have to start somewhere (everyone does!). Give yourself permission to mess up. The more you practice the better you'll get and the more confident you'll be. I've been painting flowers for over 5 years and I still feel like I'm learning new things all the time! I wished I could be artistic! Can any body become artistic or is it more of natural talent? Because I feel it's impossible for me to just know what to draw and know what colors combine to make it coordinate..lol
Of curse you can be artistic! It’s just like learning a new language. It’s going to take time and practice before you can become fluent 😉. I just posted a new series for getting started. There are 3 videos (the last one goes up today!) definitely check those out!!
