You might be wondering, "What about Karl? Where's his myth?" Canonically, everyone forgets about Karl, including his close friends, and most of his lore in Tales of the SMP take place separately from the main DSMP plot. It seemed fitting that Technoblade also ignores him here. But also, as we've talked about, Karl essentially predicts the entire album: "All these tales that I've written are gonna guide my way back." Karl plays the role of the storyteller, so it makes sense that he isn't found in the story itself.
I am also a Classics major, when I first listened to the album with my girlfriend I spend way too long explaining all the different myth references to her and how I thought they fit with the damp characters! This whole album has me jumping up and down and way too excited about block people XD
As someone who doesn’t know that much about Greek mythology (I’m a Norse mythology nerd) this is really interesting. I just finished reading the Song of Achilles and whenever I read about Agamemnon I thought “hey, I know that name, he was mentioned a babel has fallen song” 😂
All is revealed O_O What a song! What an album! Props to you guys, you made something spectacular here. It’s been amazing to follow along, looking forward to seeing what you do next!
you did not intend to make in a castle on a cloud and this tragedy of mine be so connected just how you didn't even knew you presented in this song the connection that Ranboo is in fact to Techno what Hercules is to Prometheus
Greek mythology is one of my passions and minecraft is one of my hobbies. So this includes both! :) I am being honest I got a lot of the refrences but I love how you interpreted them for the role-play. The Hector one surprised me because I haven't yet read the Illiad. I haven't seen Dream potrayed as Agamemnom before you but I think that it fits so well. I personally have often thought of him as Sisyphus. I didn't know when it was realesed but I had to read a book "Circe" that mentioned Phrixus's myth for a class and just remebered it. It is the Liver because it is the one organ you can live without. I think... don't quote me on that I heard it somewhere.

Fittingly, we also forgot to explain this in the video lol

I agree that he’s a storyteller he could be one of the muses or The chorus in “Greek” plays
