I feel like YG is finally letting go of this mysterious look for their artists and giving their artists take some lead. This album, mv, and song had so much of Minos input it’s so great to see his artistry and uniqueness really shown through his music. The director of the mv did such a great job matching Minos aesthetic. Seriously one of my favorite releases from this year.
YG was the only company that gave artistic freedom to its Artists....But it slacked for years in between and now its slowly Getting back up to its originality.
Runaway is definitely my type. It really shows artistic side of mino as a producer and musician and rapper . This is such a beautiful song and the MV is visually very pleasing . You should check out MINO's Take Album too. All the songs are just amazing !!!!
A masterpiece of comeback. The MV is art, it's like it was out of a movie. The song's lyrics are just too painful and the parts where Mino starts changing pace or breathing hard got me on the feels. It kinda shows his vulnerability.

Both fiance and this are so experimental in a good way, but I really love this a lot more because it sounds so good and also the mv is, as you said, a visual film. The instrumentals and his voice paired with the visuals of the mv combines so well. If you’re a fan of this song, you should check out the rest of the songs in the album! 💙
I don’t like sad music and try to avoid it even when the songs are by my favourite artists, but I can’t ignore this release. This song makes me cry but it deserves attention.
I like both album, both shows how capable is mino in creating masterpiece and be acknowledge as artist artist. Fiance and run away both did a digging in-depth of the concept, fiance with the trot, word play, and symbolism are chefs kiss, the same as thru runaway(well i should examine first the lyrics cause i am not a korean and the wordplay is hard for me to notice) but the symbolism is there and it carry thru-out the song consistently, plus the ending of both songs so yeah
this mv is obviously visually pleasing, but sonically it is so satisfying,not only his raps but the instrumentals as well, it is such a well produced song, personally Mino does not need comparison of wether he is better than his contemporary 3rd gen rappers, he` is a league of his own, he stands out.... and pd said it right- it is not one of those commercial songs, its an art-unique and deeply thought through... to the entire team remotely connected to this mv- respect!!!!!

Im a fan of Mino and the fact that he's hands on with all his creative endeavors but we also should give credit to Team SL8 production for directing the MV. You're spot on with the primary color Yellow and Teal, both colors often appears in Mino's self-portrait paintings, meanwhile the album TAKE has orange-red color theme. I love how abstract the music video is, and everyone who watches it has their own interpretation of it, and Mino intended that with Run away MV.

I was a pretty good fan of Fiancé but when I listen the first time to Run Away I was like “damn that’s what we call ART” like Fiancé don’t even approach to that. Visually, musically it’s sooo overwhelming. all the emotions that Mino wanted us to feel were transmitted to us and that’s beautiful cuz just a very few can fully transmit everything.
For me this is a peace of art. I felt like I was walking towards an art peace/canvas space, it is magic, pure, I was really surprise and fully happy with this peac. For real amazing.

#MINO conceptualised and was really hands on in the production of #TAKE and #RUNAWAY music video. He’s so grateful that the director and production team understood his concept and came up with this masterpiece. Also I just wanna share my thoughts on that scene from the beginning in the train w/ people dancing then water came in and he drowned... when the water subsided, he got up and now surrounded by sunflowers... indeed, this video is like a dream made into a short film. Very apt of how MINO described his album #TAKE, it’s like takes/scenes from a film.
both 'fiance' and 'run away' can stand on their own.. they are very different pieces who were obviously crafted with much time and effort with mino's distinct stamp yet give off such different feels. imo, mino is setting himself up to be one of the best male korean artists
