They should have disconnected the stuck excavator's bucket hydraulic line so that it offers less resistance as it's pulled free of the mud.

i think the right way to recover is one of the excavator to lend support to crane boom. the crane has more than enough coiling power to pull but ground or countrr weight not enough. therefore supports needed at centre of boom under

The excavator operator must be clever at work, know the position so as not to put the machine in a muddy place. Easy work can become complicated. detrimental to the company and wasting useless time. Opreters must be wise and use their work experience carefully.
The bucket on the sinking machine is holding it back from going anywhere..only answer bring a proper crane in lift it out...actually there making it worse an to many operators hand waving all over the place

For me, what it cost in fuel, manpowe,r man hour, time n equipment etc i think the operators need to be far more careful of risking gettin stuck
If only they had 3 or 4 more people giving hand signals to lift it up and out! this recovery would have taken half the time

@@frankovito I worked in Sri Lanka on a huge engineering project as lead engineer. Day 1 I had 50 people directing the lift operator with 16,000 lbs and a 1 million unit. There were 5 units. I screamed.... "STOP!" STOP! I went to the Sri Lankan engineer who hired me and said.... "I am a team player, I can be in charge, or I can take orders, but if I am in charge, NOBODY, NOBODY gives directions to that lift operator but me or someone is going to potentially get crushed.

Dengerous works for men on kobelco and works without glove and i think that kato not powerful mechine. If the kato have power it very easy works.
The kato was useless here because it stant too far from sink kobelco and on soft land.
