These cymbals are really interesting to me. I actually think these cymbals will sell very well, particularly because of the affordability lack of harsh overtones. That's going to be a lot less headache for sound engineers, especially the less experienced ones, and it'll also be an easier for the audience"s ears as well. Think it'll also do well in smaller venues where the harshness can cause an issue. Have my eye on this for sure.
they sound great like hhx
Excellent review. Thank you.
Affordable HHX Complex TBH. Just bought the hats!
I find that these cymbals are a sonic contrast to the XSR, which is very clearly based on the AA/AAX line. Slightly more work involved, so they're priced above the XSR but below the AA/AAX which matches the general timbre of the lineup (darker, smoother, thinner cymbals). Great entry point into cast B20 with darker tonality without breaking the bank. I predict this line will sell well as there's a shift towards darker cymbals at the moment.
So an affordable version of the hh/ hhx lines basically
I don't think they're something to overlook
Awesome sound and brilliant playing . Please can you tell me the sizes and types of cymbals on this video ?
just ordered aax set. all brilliant, 14 medium hat 16 18 thin crash 21 medium ride. but these sound so awesome. how do they compare?
Hi, I would say these are very different to the AAX, the AAX will give you plenty of attack and shimmer! Perfect for rock, pop and metal. The stratus series is definitely darker and more mellow! But it’s always subjective and whatever you like!
@@Gear4musicdrums thanks for the reply!

the 18 crash sounds like a k dark thin 18
Lovely cymbals but too expensive for me
Yeah, unfortunately these are the inexpensive ones. Sabian has lost their minds with the prices.
@@wilkinsnlunfortunately being based in Canada with how the Canadian economy is right now. This is the best they can possibly do😔
'extreme in their mellowness'
wtf dude??!
"Warm pure tone, extreme in there mellowness, they breathe!" when will drum and cymbals stop being discribed in such bullshit terms?
Well why don’t you come up with something better
Because this describes it perfectly mate
There isn't much of a better way to describe them
