I met the band as they were on their way to do a signing at Warped Tour and Chris was just like come walk with us to the signing. It was like I was a part of the band it was so nice! Love all the dudes in this band!
I absolutely love the fire CGI and how it shows Chris starting to burn. it’s a really sentimental metaphor. everything about this song truly is a masterpiece.
I haven’t had such an intense emotional reaction to a song in awhile. This music video really brought the lyrics to life and made it hit so much harder. Despite my tears, I loved all of it.
This song helped give me the strength to leave a toxic, abusive marriage and find myself again. Thank you, Motionless in white, for speaking the truth for so many of us. ❤
@@eljay364 I'm not the OC, but to me, that line focuses on the importance of self love and respect. If you can't enjoy you, you can't love yourself, how can you possibly ask someone else to? It's not to say that anyone is unlovable either, quite the opposite; everyone is capable and deserving of love, it should just come from you, to you, first.

I lost my little sister to suicide a couple months ago. September 2021, I brought her to her first real concert, motionless in white in Syracuse. We loved this band, and this song speaks to me as her explaining why she did what she did.
I'm 27 now and have listened to these guys well over 10 years. I can honestly say If I ever got the chance to meet the band I'd breakdown, your music means more than you know thanks lads keep making bangers.
Same page except I’m 26. Me and a couple buddies finally gonna splurge for some VIP tickets next time they come nearby and we’re gonna probably each cry lol.
I feel the exact same way brother been listening since 2012, they've been my favorite band ever since. I would definitely breakdown if I ever met them, their music means so much to me and has gotten me through some of the most difficult times of my life.
Since Chester's passing away back in 2017 I had never felt that sense of "dude, I really love this guy's voice and the way it fits the music" again... until now. Linkin Park will always be my favorite band ever 'cause they were the ones I found first when I needed to get through some really hard shit. But with the emptiness of not having Linkin Park complete, I thought that I could never feel that emotion and interest on listening to some band's new album ever again. But here they are, Chris Motionless and his band making me fall in love again with true musicians, true human beings that go beyond the "we have to sell music". They just speak for the ones that sometimes can't find a way to talk. They, to me, are giving me back the hope of feeling represented by lyrics that fit some part of my life. For me, to say that you all are awesome it's simply not enough. Thank you for this song, and for all the other songs from you that always help me through rough times. I seriously need to see you live, and from here, Santiago/Chile, you can take for granted that I'll be there if you ever come here.
@@vitecchannel5860 I already did bro, I met them with Another Life and I've already heard their entire discography. I consider myself a MIW fan since then :D
This is giving me Breaking Benjamin vibes. Especially the chorus. The vocal arrangement and guitar work is very reminiscent of the Phobia/Dear Agony albums
A lot of the bands I used to listen to as a young teen, I grew out of. But even years later Motionless In White has always been there. This song is a beautiful reminder as to why. You always helped me feel less alone in times when I had no one. Pulled me back from the edge a lot. Made me see reason to keep fighting with songs like Immaculate Misconception and Reincarnate. Helped me remember to feel with songs like this and City Lights. Thank you for still being there for me when no one else is.
I am currently in the intensive care unit at the hospital in Chicago. This is my daughter Riley Motionless all time favorite band. Together we shared this bond. So as I lay in this bed with Gleoblastoma terminal brain cancer if my daughter ever comes across this. Please know that with everything that I have within me that I love you and am more proud of you than you would ever know. When I am gone see this and know that mom would give the breath in me to live just a bit longer..Mom loves you Riley 😢❤️🥰🤗💓
My heart goes out to you. There are ties we make on this earth that are never broken. Memories that are never shed. I lost my Mom to cancer. When we knew her time was coming to an end, I realized she wasn't afraid of leavings this fight behind her. She had a great faith in God. Her biggest fear was for us, her children. In her time with me she showed me how great a Mothers love is and how it compares to nothing else. She was selfless and strong in a way that still amazes me.She took it upon herself to make sure we were the ones comforted and that nothing was left unsaid between us. I have 2 daughters and a son. I know how much a Mom's heart can love. I know the connection between Mothers and their babies.... because they are always your babies♥️. My oldest daughter and I have the same taste in music. When she was still little she was listening and rocking out with me to Korn and Metallica. A few years back she introduced me to Morionless. Today I will call her and tell her how much I love her. I pray for you. And your family.
This plus Cyberhex has got me so hyped for this new album. MIW has gotten be through the worst parts of my life. I love these guys more than anything. Thank you guys for your music.
It just occurred to me that some older bands could have way younger dudes and some newer bands could have way older dudes and they could even be around the same age. 😟🤯 dude, I am like such a fn genius. That time my hubby wanted to claim them so bad for his times tho. Me not knowing anything: 🤔🤷🏻♀️ they actually seem like a bit of some older dudes. Like, maybe close to my age
I haven't been able to listen to this song since my dad passed away in September of 23. I've been listening to alot of his country songs. Bt as I listen to this for the 1st time in months, it reminds me of my depression years n how I wish I could put my dad's tears back in his eyes from then. I'm so sorry dad. I wish...I wish I hadn't wasted so much time on my illness n spent it with you. I fucking miss you so much 😢
I’m sorry for your loss. It won’t be easy but when time passes, you’ll learn to live with the loss. My dad passed away when I was in elementary school. The only thing that kills me to this day is that I didn’t say goodbye. I didn’t even go to his funeral. He was in Mexico when he died. I have my reasons why I didn’t go to his funeral.
City Lights, Sinematic, Eternally Yours, Another Life, and now, Masterpiece show the talent MIW has in giving us great songs, whether it is heavy or slow hard rock-esque type of music
I lost my son to suicide couple years ago and the lyrics "how do i apologize and put the tears back in your eyes" really talks to me how i should've been more supportive of him now i'm lost.
Please dont blame yourself. Let me tell you a story... i dont tell this often but i hope it gives you perspective My mother, and my father, were both emotionally and physically abusive towards eachother and myself. I grew up seeing people bleed and be beaten, i seen people die. I went to over 100 funerals in 1 year. And my family was never there for me. I wish i had a mother that can recognize there wrongs and what they shouldve done, so on. Even if im gone if my parents can learn from that and find happiness in their life. That is all that matters .... and on the topic of suicide, the only time ive seen an ounce of care from mum is 5 years ago when i tried, and was somewhat successful in my attempt as i was only brought back after 38 minutes with permanent brain damage. I dont know how to put this, but i wish it would have broken through to her, to see her get healthy. And find happiness, and to admit ones mistakes and put them in the past. I wish id have had someone care like you. So dont blame yourself, we all are humans, we all make mistakes, and we all experience pain. Youre doing better than my own parents in dealing with this
“true colors can’t escape the brush of fate” such an amazing lyric, this song is beautiful and the music video portrays the pain behind it perfectly. Love the easter eggs!
Why does this sound exactly as how architects and spiritbox did they albums they took out a song with electronic sounds and now they take out a song that hits the feels watch the next song is gonna be a feature

Very strong breaking Benjamin’s vibes from this. I love it. I like miw for their heavy stuff but I always love having a song or two on an album that’s just chill and you can sing along to easy.
I immediately picked up BB, but, I love it!!! I saw MIW for the first time live with BB and Korn. They blew me away (BB pun:)) and i've been a super fan ever since.
I feel like this song just hit me squarely in the gut and took my breath away. How many people feel like this every day, but struggle to find the words to describe it?
The Breaking Benjamin vibes. It’s beautiful to see the great sounds of our past be reborn in new songs by talented artists. Rock and Metal doesn’t die, it evolves.
it’s been a long time since a song made me cry, but goddamn. you can feel the raw emotion, listening to this. it’s intense and passionate and is definitely one of my new favorite songs. ❤️
Chris is such a beautiful boy, both inside and out, it hurts seeing him cry. Makes me wonder what happened in his life for this song to have such emotion in it. I hope he's okay.
I am 27 and I am new when it comes to this band. I started listening to Motionless in White last week and I have to say that they along with other bands I normally listen to have been helping me get out of a very dark place. You guys are awesome.
If you ever get a chance to watch them live, please do. They're just as good, if not better in person. Chris' vocal range is off the charts, and if you ever meet the guys, they're all extremely kind, and Chris almost always remembers his fans when they visit again.
The fact that this band has a switch and can be melodic and then go straight scream just shows how great they are! Well done MIW! Keep setting the standard!
I haven’t even finished listening to this, but you can hear the raw emotion behind the lyrics and in Chris’s voice and it’s beautiful as always. Edit: I finished the song, and it is absolutely amazing!

“ of my masterpiece of my mistakes” I felt that he truly did cry in the video was that a cry for help ??????? We can’t lose another rock singer to depression dude. I think this song is Chris cry for help here
Ohhh I didn't think of this that makes sense. I always thought of part 1 and 2 being it. That makes it even sadder this 3rd part also probably why I relate to it.
The holding onto smoke of the new album. Was not expecting to cry but wow. This really is a masterpiece of emotion. So proud of the band and how incredible the music always is.
Chris's voice is absolutely beautiful. The music video, seeing him cry, and of course the lyrics...are all very emotional. I didn't expect to cry but my gosh this song is a literal masterpiece.
Chris once said " I just want our music to touch someone who has never heard us and change for the good." And coming from a rap fan. I've never been sooo emotional close to a song! ❤️ I just hope you see this and know you've done your job! ❤️ From Chris to Ryan and Ricky as well as Vinny and amazing ass Justin (who's just a amazing character in himself). This whole band as made my life better!
For most of my life, I felt like I never belonged anywhere, until I heard their music once upon a time 10 years ago. Anytime I see them live or they release music, it feels like coming home from being away for so long
This song has a deep meaning to me. My mother has been in active addiction for 15 years of my life, and I can't even be sure that she isn't anymore because we hardly talk. I don't think I'll ever get closure or answers about so many questions from my childhood. But this song.... I imagine my mom singing this to me as a true heartfelt apology got everything she let me go through growing up and everything she inflicted on my siblings and I. And even though it's not a real apology from her, it does some sort of healing in my heart. Thank you for this song.
I felt something. I hope it gets better and you and your mom connects like never before and never ending. Jesus Christ is who I'm asking for this to happen and by his father will may it be done my God please
The emotion man, what a beautiful song. The breaking Benjamin vibes hit me with the nostalgia, and Chris’ vocals just make you believe every word he sings man.
@@joshbanker8743 very true!! The sounds is definitely MIW but the way Chris ends some of these notes sounds a lot like Ben, and he’s even said what a big inspo BB has been for them :)

My 6 year old Grandson loves this song, He will repeat it over and over and sing along. He says it makes him feel better that other people also have problems and keep trying.
I can narrow it down to a few songs that I "LOVE" and mean it, same playing field, and everything else is still amazing, and that's rare as fuck to say for an album in general.
They really brought back a early 2000s nostalgic sound with masterpiece it brings me back to like middle school emo phase dude this song is amazing The band really struck a lot with this one
This song is undeniable proof that 'screaming music' artists can have a fantastic singing voice too! Every new song I love the band more than ever. Not a bad one to date 💖
Second MIW album that I'm in tears and the latter not even due yet! Chris crying...losing your love never gets easier, time slowly heals but the knawing gap in our soul remains. I absolutely love this family we all share n respect. I hope to meet you one day n let you know how special you are and how much your lyrics help us all to deal with tragedy and loss as its brutal and doesn't care who we are or how much we already suffer. But out of that comes strength, lessons learned, acceptance, happiness, and the ability to love again. I'm still stuck loving my ex husband 6yrs after he left but I hope I find love again when I feel able to move on. If not, "to love and lose is better than to never have loved at all" x
Talk about right in the feels man. This hits really deep, I absolutely love this song MIW never disappoints can’t wait for the entire album I feel this is gunna be an amazing album
I agree with ya on that one. This hits deep. And when he gets to the chorus, I’ve been crying. A song never made me cry for any reason except the songs my mom listened to when she was alive (she would listen to gospel music and the Bill Gaither group music was played in the car or on the tv). We make mistakes and because of the mistakes, we become better masterpieces of what we are to become (and do better in the future) is what I get out of this song.
@@frankiehudson7229 I'm sure alot of people cried me including because the lyric "and in the light of my demise I see my failures in your eyes" is a lyric that really touches my heart because that's exactly what I see when I look at a pic of my ex at random times my failures in her eyes I wish I treated her well but unfortunately I can't take it back just gotta hope she finds someone that will treat her right
The song, the lyrics, Chris’s vocals, the breakdown, the brittle in the screams, the quality, the acting. This is a band of just pure talent. Absolutely amazing 👏👏
MIW was with me through middle school all the way to high school to college, then now where I’m all on my own. Got me through the toughest years of my life, especially when my dad passed away last year. Thank you for continuing to make the absolute best masterpieces and being an amazing band - you never disappoint!
I lost my dad last year as well. MIW was not my main band that help me through it. It was this rock band named “Skillet” and rapper named “NF” but MIW was still part of it in helping me through a lot last year and present time. We can both pull through our sadness and heartbreak. You got this girl. Best of luck
Hey, if you enjoy this song head over and check out our latest single "Flaws Of Nature"! It's a little heavier, we also have some rockier stuff too! Let me know what you think! Stay rad ✌
You can definitely hear the influence in “Sign of life”, especially when Chris screams it at the end of each chorus. I’m just praying for the day that these two collaborate!
It is unreal to have followed these guys since creatures, to see this continuous improvement, growth and maturity. Chris' vocals and writing are mind blowing, and improve with every album they release. They may be played more on the radio today, but they are far from selling out, and we are all here for it.
I got nostalgic from this comment and actually shed a tear. I remember when I was a little twelve year old ‘emo’ kid and constantly replaying She Never Made It To The Emergency Room. MIW have never disappointed with any of their songs, Chris’ voice is so flawless.
These last couple days has made me realize just how much the last chorus means to me. Haven't stopped crying since I've realized I've ruined my life and every innocent life in my path. My mind tortures me everyday, destroying me from the inside out. Every mistake flashing before my eyes, the pain and sorry from the guilt I place on myself. Do I deserve to live? because all my life has been one tragedy to the next. Chris and the band, I love you guys. I wish I had as much heart left in me to write such beautiful songs. This song has kept me going, hopefully I make it out in one piece.
It seems you have.... Listen man, Sit down. Bring out pen and paper, or just sit down in front of your computer, whatever works. Then breathe. Let all of those feelings well up inside you, and focus on getting everything onto paper. It doesn't have to be good, melodic or even more than just some random incoherent words. Just write whatever you feel. Write every thought that comes to your head. Eventually, it'll all start to make sense, and you can start throwing some words and/or sentences around, and voila! You'll have some pretty epic and personal lyrics! Trust me on this. Crying is a way to express your emotions when all words fail. Make them not fail.
You still there? It would be decent of you to answer the people who cared enough, if you're going to write shit like that. Seems like you just wanted to post something as emo as possible and hope for the attention you crave... 🤷♂️
@@BellaCW I been getting better. Also have been trying this idea of yours. I can see it works. I just second guess lyrical content too much when I write it. I throw the page away 100x. Then I just take a break and play guitar.

Me too!
@@Dylans503 It’s an emotional song, so yes.
This song helped give me the strength to leave a toxic, abusive marriage and find myself again. Thank you, Motionless in white, for speaking the truth for so many of us. ❤
That line "if I can't have me, then no one can" gives me chills. It's so true but never heard it put that way before.
What would you say that line specifically means to you?
@@eljay364Beautiful question. If you have an emotion, you really should try attaching something to it.

I feel the exact same way brother been listening since 2012, they've been my favorite band ever since. I would definitely breakdown if I ever met them, their music means so much to me and has gotten me through some of the most difficult times of my life.
2:50. I absolutely love the vibrantion of that.
Eternally Yours, Another life, and now this? God. Gossebumps.
A MASTERPIECE
I promise you that MIW is a band worth seeing and I hope you get the chance soon :) It's life changing.

Too remember that
I hear that too
I was wondering if anyone else caught that vibe too
I totally agree. I hear Breaking Benjamin all day in this song
A lot of MIW stuff has a strong breaking Benjamin vibe

Much love from Germany.

Only band to still capture 90s & early 2000s nostalgic tones and emotions while mixing in new sounds for songs that make any elder emo/goth reminisce
It just occurred to me that some older bands could have way younger dudes and some newer bands could have way older dudes and they could even be around the same age. 😟🤯 dude, I am like such a fn genius. Please dont blame yourself. Let me tell you a story... i dont tell this often but i hope it gives you perspective
My mother, and my father, were both emotionally and physically abusive towards eachother and myself. That is all that matters
.... and on the topic of suicide, the only time ive seen an ounce of care from mum is 5 years ago when i tried, and was somewhat successful in my attempt as i was only brought back after 38 minutes with permanent brain damage.

Haven't stopped crying since I've realized I've ruined my life and every innocent life in my path. My mind tortures me everyday, destroying me from the inside out.
