"Render96 was original going to use authentic Charles Martinet Luigi voice clips gathered by me until we decided to use Andrat's voice clips instead. Not wanting them to go to waste, me with the help of omarlego finally made this original idea come true with this semi-official Render96 Luigi voice pack. It primarily uses voice clips from the Nintendo 64 era, but has a few exceptions that are from Gamecube games, one from a Wii game, and a few clips by Andrat that Luigi didnt have a good match for ("Press Start to Play", drowning clip, and the dreaming voice clip)."

This actually works super well, they did a good job mixing different games' voice clips to give an authentic-sounding N64 luigi! I like Andrat's impressions, I do think he nailed it pretty well, but to me the original idea of using him to fill in the blanks makes more sense for this.
God, I love how consistent these sound.

This does tickle my nostalgia bone very well, but i find it refreshing to have brand new voice clips. Both are great!
THIS IS IT YOU FINALLY GOT IT! THE BEST N64 LUIGI! Of course it’s obvious when he gets a star he should say “Here We Go” like he does on the menu screen, but who cares this is the best one yet!

I always loved the Luigi voice lines from Mario Kart 64. I think they fit Super Mario 64 the best.

If the same is being done for Wario, i do recommend using voice clips of the following games:
Mario Tennis
Mario Golf
Wario World
Mario Kart 64
Mario Party 4 would be good too
He just showcases the mods, he doesn't make them.

the new guy did a really good job with his luigi impression, however I think the original voice clips here are much better suited for this project.

2:00 If I could contribute something please, Luigi's Bogey Voice sample from Mario Golf on N64 would be a much better fitting "Mama Mia.". It just sounds off... No disrespect to Andrat, but nobody can beat Charles Martinet's original voice clips. Especially if the R96 crew are going for authenticity. Undeniable that Andrat's 64 era Luigi impression is pretty spot on otherwise though.

Luigi would not of had that high pitched Mario voice at the time if he was in the game because they would of had enough sense by then to give him his own original voice.

It sounds good, tho some voices for some movesets don’t seem to fit like when Luigi pulls himself up quick at 0:25
ground pounds/tosses objects needs his unused LM1 grunt noise which was used in 64DS, his breathing noise is from Luigi’s Mansion but not the one they used in 64DS (the breathing noise they used comes from one of the unused voice clips from Luigi’s Mansion), and his falling scream/ fire scream don’t sound like he’s really in pain at all.
The rest are okay.

Maybe one day nintendo will remaster Mario 64 ds for switch or give us the best HD remake of the original with Luigi of course. But I already payed for 3d Allstars, so I guess I'll only play the other two games

When the entire project is about making the game look as faithful as the original concept art of the N64 era it makes sense people wants things to be like they are from that era, it's excpected from peopke to prefer the original voice of Luigi during that period.

Estas voces que pusieron en el mod vienen de Mariokart 64 y supongo que de algún mario party también esos fueron los únicos juegos donde luigi tuvo una voz original, en otros tenía la misma de mario pero más aguda jajajaja

Someone should fix Mario’s HD voice clips, for a some reason Mario 64 has some voice clips with a deeper tone
I love the impression, though I can’t help but feel “semi-official” isn’t the best description for this. The whole point of this mod (Atleast I thought so far) was that it’s 90s era reminiscent. Voice clips from games after N64 era such as Gamecube and Wii games ends up ruining the whole 90s and it being official/semi-official feel. And if the point isn’t to have everything be 100% 90s derived then why not use Luigi’s voice clips from Mario 64 DS? It would make for an official feel.
Semi-official for Render96 because it was the original voice for this mod.
