      @@frankmaitland1254 So did a lot of analysts. You're allowed to alter your predictions after new information right? Kinda like now we know Indiana is not elite but may get a playoff birth by default. A playoff birth which I have to agree with due to how this is structured, even though better teams have worse records. 🤙🏽
      Imagine if we were all held to our first take on everything. 😂

      You’re ridiculous…..Indiana had one real data point and they gotten beaten easily. Rewarding garbage and punishing tough schedules is idiotic. This system means having 4 good teams then nothing in your conference is better than having 10 good teams. Indiana would be a dog next week at 10-12 SEC teams. Just reading the record as though it means everything IS INSANE. Indiana is better than the Baltimore Ravens according to this standard.

    • @frankmaitland1254
      @frankmaitland1254 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @33moneyball Money Ball turned out to be mostly BS. huh? Well, Indiana had to beat the teams in front of them. With the exception of Ohio State they have done that. Indiana could possibly beat Oregon. Who beat who? Indiana got out coached. If they had stuck to what they did on that first drive the game would have been closer.

    I don't agree with Muench about Georgia. They got bullied against Ole Miss, got lit up against Bama, and struggled against some awful teams. I don't know how you can buy that they'll put together 4 really good games. I would have them in the second tier, and OSU in a tier by itself.

      @operationdarktolight4321 it doesn't fit with their and Russillo D Riding middling SEC teams. Having the most talent doesn't mean the best team. Hell, when Indiana had a quarterback that transferred, they were better than some SEC teams. That QB transferred and did alright by himself. I think he's 2 on Atlantas depth chart.

    Oregon has had adversity though… 8 conference games in a row missing multiple starters during that stretch. They could have folded in that Wisconsin game but they didn’t. A lot of that team remembers what happened last year with missing the playoff. Gabriel has been through the big games like Texas last year and OSU this year. They’re built for this.

    NO 3 LOSS TEAMS IN THE CFP. YOU MUDDY AND DEGRADE THE WHOLE THING BY LETTING A 3 LOSS TEAM IN. NOW I SEE WHY THE SEC WANTED THE 12 TEAM PLAYOFF. SO THEY COULD GET MORE OF THEIR TEAMS IN. EVEN A 3 LOSS TEAM LIKE ALABAMA OR OLE MISS OR POSSIBLY A GEORGIA OR TENNESSEE. NOT GREAT!

      @joshgoldberg8584 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I think the issue was USC and Michigan were both down (plus Iowa wasn’t all that good either), so you are left with Penn St, Oregon and Ohio St and then a big drop off after that to Indiana and then another big drop off to everyone else.

    • @benoitwaffle5439
      @benoitwaffle5439 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@joshgoldberg8584 The issue with all these oversized leagues is there are three bodies battling for their interests. The tv networks want the matchups that will bring the biggest ratings. The coaches want "fairness" in scheduling which is to say they don't want their rivals to have easier schedules than them. The ADs and university presidents want to preserve rivalries to keep the donors and ticket holders happy. This creates a mess. When the league's come up with a schedule, they are projecting who will be good and who will not. Michigan, FSU, and Oklahoma are usually good. They weren't this year. Nobody could really project that Iowa State, SMU, and Indiana would be as good as they have been. It creates weird schedules. Texas has been on cruise control all year with a cake schedule of bad or backup QBs. Indiana was supposed to be the team that allows UCLA and Michigan State to have a chance to be bowl eligible. Oops. Stuff happens. The system would have worked better with smaller, more traditional leagues. It is inarguable that things would have been better with 10-12 team leagues where the teams play all or most of their conference mates. Everybody ran for the most cash, and nobody should have any sympathy for the teams who miss out. You take the check, you deal with the consequences.

      Funny, people all said the same thing last year and Michigan retired Nick Saban and won the national championship.
      And the SEC is far worse this year then they were last year when they didn't even make the national championship.

    • @Scooter23456
      @Scooter23456 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ the big 10 has won two national championship in the last 20 years, and you chose last year to make your point. Stop drinking the kool aid! Go look at Penn State’s and Indiana’s schedule. It’s laughable, and yet both will get in because of that laughable schedule. It’s bs!! But fools like you think it’s just the best conference. The last 20 years say it’s one of the worst! No clue how the big 10 still gets any credit.

      @@Scooter23456 Where did I say "The Big Ten is the best conference"? Please, tell me. You're taking my words out of context to create a narrative.
      The bottomline is the SEC isn't near as good as the SEC honks say it is.
      And why do I point to last year? Because it's much, much more recent (and relevant) than what the SEC was doing 10 years ago when Saban was winning titles. It's an entirely different era of college football now that there is NIL and the transfer portal.
      And just like last season when the SEC was overrated and a Big Ten team, Michigan, beat SEC champ Bama and a future (and now current) Big Ten team, Washington, beat a current (slash future) SEC team , the SEC is once again being overrated.
      The playing field is leveling out in this era and all the SEC honks have to point to are the accomplishments from the past; accomplishments won mostly by a coach who is now retired.
